Great time, private tour is worth it. We were a group of five, 2 adults, 3 teens. The private tour was about twice the per person cost of the general group tour but it was worth it. You chat with your guide and decide what you want to do. They pick you up and drop you off. No unwanted stops. Pretty straight forward

Picked up in Jerusalem and from Tel Aviv, headed to Ceasaria, Haifa, Acre and back. The weather was beautiful and especially the views of the Mediterranean. The port city of Haifa is paradise and the view from the top of the Baha'i gardens was truly breathtaking. A lot of history in Ceasaria and Acre. Our tour guide Hava Dorany was exceptional. Because of Hava, our trip was extremely informative and a lot of fun. I highly recommend Bein Harim tours, not only because they cover pretty much the whole country but because they truly have fantastic tour guides. Enjoy!

Truly enjoyed my trip to these places. The day started with a bit of a “let down” as I was supposed to be picked up from my hotel at 5:50 a.m. but due to a traffic delay I ended up being picked up at 6:30 a.m.
Our guide Dorit Epstein was very apologetic about it.
We visited many interesting places but my favourite was Acre- absolutely incredible! I highly recommend this tour.
Dorit was very knowledgeable about the places.
My one & only criticism is that there’s no need to fill in driving time with unnecessary info about factories and other irrelevant stuff around the places as most people were half asleep due to the early pick ups.
Thank you so much for all your hard work, Dorit!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your satisfaction through this rave review of your tour with our guide Dorit. She is highly worthy of your compliments for her efforts and capable skilled tour management., togethercwith her wealth of knowledge. It is clear that this was an enlightening tour experience for you travelling with Bein Harim and our great guide . Some travellers enjoy commentary, measure normally differs for travellers, some like a lot of info, others less. Glad it was a memorable tour experience to cherish.

I had a nice day with a nice tour guide but I didn’t love the tour. The main problem was the mini bus we rode in for the long ride was very uncomfortable. Seats were so narrow. My main problem with this tour is not with the quality of the tour but that although this was a long day, the trip is long and they go to too many places. Rosh HaNikra is beautiful and the time allotted there was perfect as was the time spent at Caesarea. I was disappointed with Caesarea but that was no fault of the guide or tour company. I have found other archaeological sites in Israel to be more interesting such as Megiddo and Bet Shean. We ate in an Arabic Restaurant at Acre (Akko) that was enjoyable but the market tour was very short (don’t plan on having time to stop and buy or view anything interesting). It was basically just a quick walk through of a small market area. This wasn’t necessarily a souvenir type of shopping area but an area that local people will make purchases of food and other goods. We then went through some of the crusader halls which was fine. We also visited the Baha’i Gardens but it wasn’t much of a visit. I did appreciate that they didn’t have a souvenir shopping stop as part of the tour. My husband would have given 4 stars.

Dear Karen, We thank you for this feedback and the detailed description of the places visited during your tour. It is a full itinerary indeed. Regrettably, these are the size and seating format of the Mercedes tourism vans. (Ministry of Transport sets this size and arrangement!!) We are unable to cater for the requests of all our travelers thus the shopping option or time off to wander around is not possible (not to mention people arrive late and often get lost). We eat at an organised stop that caters for groups in order to save time ! Sincerely, Bein Harim team

The locations you are going to are nice, but at the end of the day the tour guide is the one who makes or breaks your day. The tour guide I had was so terrible that I wish I had not gone at all. She was rude, pushy, demanding, yelled at everyone all day long and was unable to answer questions people had asked. I emailed the company to let them know how upsetting this all was and how poorly we where treated. Their response was to send me a list of her credentials. I could care less what degrees she has, the issue is that I didn't sign up to be yelled at like a child nor pushed around all day long, and not to mention she was extremely touchy which was just weird and inappropriate. The other participants were as upset about the situation and everyone was venting to each other all saying the same things. There are several other companies that go to these same locations, I'd highly suggest going with those.

Dear Nechama, we are regretful that this was the nature of your experience. This letter has been sent to our office management with regards to what you have reported about her manner... The guide is suspended for now, even though she has provided her report. You were clearly put out by her manner and for this, we apologize. As you notice on this platform we are constantly complimented and our guides are raved about. This surely cannot be about the entire company, but your own experience with just 1 of our guides... Sincerely, Bein Harim team

My wife and I did the full day tour of Caesarea, Rosh Hanikra and Acre and it was unfortunately the worst day of our trip. I'll admit that part of the day was made worse by weather, which is obviously not Bein Harim's fault but several other parts were.

Our tour guide, while perfectly nice, frankly didn't add much to what you would learn and understand about the sights from a cursory reading of a paragraph in a tour book or the intro paragraph on Wikipedia. Much of the commentary she did add felt like she needed to deliver to the lowest common denominator of the tour and again, just didn't add much. The group was also just too big to be reasonably led around. In some instances, it wasn't really possible to hear the guide given the size of the group. And while the weather isn't the company's fault, there was no attempt to improve upon the situation. In Haifa, we were given 20 minutes to explore the Bahai gardens but because it was raining, the terraces were closed so there was nothing to see. No one had known that or checked it to ensure.

Dear Mike, we understand your disappointment, but really if you read a little about Israel's weather, you will know these were extreme conditions. If we don't visit the places on the itinerary we get clamped for it, on this platform. When we do visit keeping to scheduled itinerary, here we have you mentioning you couldn't see the Bahai properly. We certainly can adjust when conditions dictate this, but viewing the gardens from above was still possible only because of the rain that prevailed there at the time. Alternative locations prove problematic at such short notice. And yes, rain, does majorly compound logistics. We will get the guide of this tour to report according to what you have described of her manner. We accept criticism as a platform to improve when it is also understood, the weather as an issue certainly cannot be good enough claim that our services are not up to standard. Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

Jacob was our guide and he was good. Got to see some Roman ruins, beautiful grottos, and some ruins from the crusades. This was one of the prettiest tours, especially if you love the ocean. Not too much walking; especially all at once. Highly recommend this tour and this company.

Logistics:
Very well organized. Charter bus picks you up (when I went they were only doing one pickup location near me but walking/biking/scooters make it fairly simple to get to if you’re staying nearby). Buses do have usb outlets in the ceiling. Bathroom break at first stop. Roman ruins was the first stop. Aqueduct (quick stop). Not too much nonstop walking with a few breaks where we drive somewhere else. Gardens at haifa then the grottos and Lebanon border. Lunch then Acre. Copper smith is the souvenir stop. Then the crusades museum where there’s also a restroom. Then we headed back.

Comparing the 3 I went on (separate reviews under same name for each but here’s a summary if you’re trying to choose between a few). I think they were all wonderful for different reason so hopefully you don’t have to choose between them but if so, I hope this info is helpful.
Jerusalem: if you’re into history and religion then this one is fantastic for you. However, it is a walking tour and Jerusalem is hilly. It wasn’t too bad with frequent stops and a lot in the shade but still be ready for that.
Caesarea: if you love the sea, Greek ruins, caves, and the Crusades/really old buildings then you will probably enjoy this one.
Dead Sea: King Herod’s old winter palace and a trip to the lowest point on earth (and the saltiest). This one was the hottest day trip but it was very worth it. Quite a bit of walking and up and down stairs in Masada and there isn’t a ton of shade to stand in either. But it had wonderful views and a lot of the original architecture. Dead Sea is salty and hot but you gotta get in at least once.

I took two tours on consecutive days, the first was to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Dead Sea and the second was this. I personally preferred this as a tour. I thought it was well paced, beautiful and interesting. It did the balance of seeing/exploring vs transport time better that the equivalent Jerusalem one (way to fast paced). I had Avi as a tour guide and he did a great job of informing us without talking for the sake of it. I would highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the trip to the north. Seeing places from both roman and crusader time with a lot preserved is really great.
The caves added a "natural" side to the tour, and the border a little of reality
Acre for me was the best, got me thinking I need to come back and explore more.
Really appreciate Avi our tour guide. Great driving, bilingual explanation, always with a smile. it made the hole thing better.
