      Amazing Tour experience
My husband and I had a private tour with Josh in 2018 through Israel, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. We were not very knowledgable about where to go in Israel so we left it up to Josh to set up our itinerary. He was very interested in finding out about us and making sure he set up an trip that would best suit our interests. My husband is not one to like tours, and I made Josh aware of this and he took this into consideration. Josh’s tours were absolutely amazing, and even my husband who hates touring had the most Memorable experience. Josh is extremely knowledgeable, and very organized. Josh is very warm, kind, and very Easy-going. When we wanted to change things he was able to come up with different options for us with no effort at all. I can’t wait to come back again to Israel to tour with Josh, and I will recommend him to all my friends and family.

      Great guide, great conversations
Josh guided my work colleagues and I through Ein Advat as part of a team fun day. From the start, Josh helped us choose the best trip for our team by giving us several options for trips in different locations in the country. We chose Ein Avdat and had a lovely trip on the trail and in an excellent nearby restaurant that he recommended for lunch. Josh is a very knowledgeable guide, with a true passion for nature and animals. I really enjoyed his depictions of the history of Nabateans, his easy to grasp explanations of the rocks and trees we passed, as well as the wildlife around us that he drew our attention to. In addition, Josh is very personable and easy company. We had a really great day with him and lots of pleasant conversations - by the end of the day, I felt like he was a fifth member of our team! Would highly recommend for your next work outing.

      Fantastic !!!!
Josh Hartuv is an amazing guide !! We spent more than a week with him in and around Jerusalem and Tel Aviv exploring and enjoying our time together. Josh has a great depth and breadth of knowledge - from ancient pre-history to current events, knows the cities and sites inside/out and also took us to some less well known spots. He is flexible, adjusting plans as we had new ideas and he made new suggestions about what would interest us -- including great dining and active hikes. Every day was a new adventure with Josh -- he is well-prepared, imaginative, and always finds a way to educate while having fun. Our trip to Israel was even more special with Josh as a guide !!!

      Fascinating Tel Aviv
My friend and I did two tours with Josh, one in Jaffa and one to learn more about Tel Aviv‘s architecture. Both were super interesting! Josh’s deep knowledge of Israel and Tel Aviv and his engaging and fun story-telling style made his tours super memorable! We only but highly recommend to book a tour and get to know Tel Aviv in the best possible way. Thank you very much Josh!

Fantastic tour of Jerusalem with Josh and our two kids
Josh was a fantastic tour guide for Jerusalem for our family of four with two boys (4 and 6). I was initially worried, the kids would the kids would be overwhelmed by all there is to learn about the city. But Josh was not only knowledgeable about the history, but made all of it accessible to both us and the kids. It was fun for the entire family, and he helped make it a trip we'll never forget!

      Great with kids (and adults)!
We hired Josh to be our guide and driver for the day to the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi, and Josh was not only friendly and knowledgeable, he also included our daughter (age 7) and was able to read her moods. Josh answered our varied questions and took pictures of us (which he sent us) so we could be in the moment while still having it documented for later. While presumably all guides are knowledgeable, Josh was very enthusiastic and brought the culture of Israel to life, including through music. We will definitely go with Josh the next time we need a guide!

Amazing Experience with Josh - 3.5 days in Israel
We planned a last-minute family trip to Israel, and I was nervous to find a guide that would be good with the kids (age 9 and 12) and who would be honest in helping plan our itinerary. We are so happy that Josh was recommended!! Josh set up a virtual meeting to discuss our needs, helped plan an itinerary and answered all of our many questions. We ended up touring with Josh for a half day in Jaffa, a full day in Jerusalem and 2 days in the north. Josh was very knowledgeable, had his own materials to supplement some of the discussions when needed and tailored the tours for our family's needs. He helped us accommodate a picky eater, he suggested unique adventures (jeep tour of Gola Heights) and tried to incorporate our "wish-list" such as a dip in the Kinneret and a stop to see the grotto at Rosh HaNikra. We are so pleased that the trip went smoothly and that we had the opportunity to spend this time with Josh to really maximize the experience. Highly recommend!

Josh is an amazing tour guide.
I took 7 tours in Israel and by far, Josh was the best. He is fun, dynamic, full of information, and tells a great story. I learned all about Jaffa, why the land in Israel is so strategically important, and has fun along the way. I really can't emphasize enough how strong a tour guide Josh is.

      Amazing Guide
Josh is an amazing guide. Our free tour through Abraham tours was fantastic. Josh is so well informed, witty and fun. We learned so much from him and the time flew by. One of the best guides we’ve ever had and we’ve traveled all over the world.

      Jerusalem off the beaten path.
Josh was extremely knowledgeable about the Temple Mount. We learned about the various religious footprints that describe this holy cite to so many religions. Josh is very personable as well as knowledgeable. We had been to Jerusalem many times, and Josh was able to share with us much of what we had never experienced.

      Tour of a Lifetime
Josh Hartuv spent 3 days with our family of 4 aged 59-90 and with his vast knowledge, experience, thoughtfulness and creativity gave us many lasting and beautiful memories of Israel. With his expert preparation and guidance, historic sites came to life, including Akko, Safed, the Negev, Masada and the Dead Sea. He catered to our various levels of mobility, and took care of us so well. His depth and breadth of knowledge of ancient and modern history, economics, politics, religion and life in Israel made it an amazing learning experience on many levels. He was sensitive and unbiased in approach. We highly recommend Josh for future tours

Grateful for the Insights, History and Dedication
Josh worked collaboratively with our mission and scheduled once in a lifetime experiences for our group. My daughter is studying Modern Middle East History this year. I wished for her to visit Jerusalem beforehand and see other historic as well as very relevant sites for her upcoming studies. The surprises and highlights were only possible because of Josh’s insights, openness and sometimes off the beaten path approach. My daughter’s teacher is impressed with how our experiences were curated giving her a unique perspective and context for this semester/year. Josh was flexible and willing to accommodate the spontaneous interest of our group to visit the Dead Sea. We were very grateful. Most importantly we will remember the Book of the Shrine housing the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Israel Museum. Ellie Wiesel was my professor. I am grateful for the opportunity to fulfill a lifelong wish and promise I made.

I had the great opportunity to join a series of Josh’s virtual tours of Israel. We went to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the North, and had an amazing history lesson and tour of the story of Hanukkah. Josh is incredibly knowledgeable, and a great story teller. He brings the places and the history to life, even when the tour is virtual!

Wow what a clever and ingenious virtual tour of the holy sites above, around, and under the Temple Mount with inspiring and knowledgeable historical context.
Honestly, when next lucky enough to be back in Jerusalem "for real", I will arrange for Josh to do a complete tour of those same sites ... and more!
    Thanks, Josh!
Stay strong, stay safe, stay well, and look forward to meeting you in person!

Excellent Virtual tour on Tisha B’Av on the destruction of the Temple and the dispersion of the Jewish communities. Josh is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide and he really made his material come alive on our screens. “Visiting” Syria and Iraq with him was eye opening, allowing us to understand aspects of the tragic dispersal I had never thought of before. Thank you Josh.

Everything was great. But seeing Muslim Temple Mount sites was very exciting. Seeing how the Temple Mount was built into the hill was also fascinating

As we in the Whitefield (UK) community coped with lockdown restrictions our thoughts turned to celebrating our son's recent engagement in some way with friends and then a few weeks later our Synagogue's celebrations for Yom Hazikaron/Yom HaAzmaut.

Tour guide, Josh Hartuv came to the rescue with firstly a tour of the Temple Mount. It was as though we were on site and his enthusiasm and knowledge were superb.

The second tour took us to Mount Herzl to visit the graves and learn the personal stories behind some of the soldiers buried there and to be a virtual part of Yom Hazikaron . We then moved to celebrating Israel's Independence day with some background history and with songs and music.

We can't wait to go and have a real live tour with Josh when this pandemic ends.
