          Golan view is certainly fascinating
The views from the Golan Heights are amazing. You can see over Sea of Galilee, where the Golan Heights dominates the outlook. There are lots of strategic factors, including religion. The Golan Heights are in the north-east of Israel, it's well worth a tour.

          Horrible experience with Viator
Horrible tour to Valle de Guadalupe We bought a tour to Valle de Guadalupe, from a supposed “Tour company.” They sent us 4 people plus the driver in a 4 persons sedan car, my daughter had to go in the middle for 6 hours. The driver was talking on the phone back and forth, when I told him that I thought it was dangerous for us to do it, he said that he had a lot of experience driving 8 wheelers, so he didn't stop. I don't think it's allowed to take tourists this way. So unprofessional, didn't know anything about the area, he just transported us to the destination in the most uncomfortable and dangerous way. At the last point, the vineyard where they gave us a cheese board, he sat at our table and loudly talked on her cell phone, taking away the only pleasant experience of the entire day. What he did share with us, was all the dangerous places in the area. Although the driver tried, this company is not a professional tour company. We brought a bigger and safer truck, if we had known how bad it would be, we would have left on our own.

          Bad experience!
This tour was badly organized .First we waited outside the hotel for an hour before we were picked up .No one knew where to go .We thought we were finally starting the trip .But we were taken to this hilly top where we waited another hour in a dingy cafe . The tour was rushed as it was getting late .For lunch everyone is taken to this awful resturant with chaos ,substandard food and fighting crowds . Before going into the resturant you have to go thru a shop and they push coupons to you to buy super expensive products . Guide did not have much knowledge or rather one sided knowledge .We were rushed thru Masada which was the main attraction .I asked him a couple of questions breaking his monologue. He did not like it and was very rude . Do not take this tour .If you do bring your own food . It was a waste of money .

Natural beauty and historical sites in the Heights
The Golan Heights is an area of outstanding natural beauty and intriguing historical sites It was captured from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and is now part of Israel. The Golan Heights is of great strategic importance, it has a commanding view of the northern Galilee. Apart from its military value, the Golan is a fertile agricultural region. The trip from Jerusalem to the Golan takes around two hours by car.

Holy sites appeal deeply to believers
The Western Wall, often called the Wailing Wall, is sacred to Jews; other denominations are also welcome. It is adjacent to the wall of the Second Temple, which is all that remains of the Temple. The 4th Century Church of the Sepulcher is the site where Christians traditionally gather to commemorate the site of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sepulcher is also an important destination on the Via Dolorosa, Christ's Way of Suffering. These sites appeal deeply to believers.

This is a wonderful tour and I pray that Israel be able to offer this again in the near future.
Note: We went on this tour on 10/5, 36 hours before the Hamas attack. We really enjoyed the drive from Jerusalem and the stops that we made. Masada was a very interesting sight to behold. My only suggestion is to cut the time spent in Masada by about 30 minutes so you can spend that extra time at the Dead Sea. We got less than 30 minutes there, which was not enough. We floated in the sea for about five minutes and then had to get out and shower off to leave.

Trip operator cancelled last minute and was not helpful
This trip was cancelled haphazardly at the last minute, and the trip operator was not helpful. As such, we did not get to experience this trip. Getting 1 star because 0 stars was not an option.

          Dangerous and not reliable
I was picked up 1 hour later from the hotel During the waiting hour I didn't receive any text or email saying if the tour is cancelled or I still will be picked up After one hour we where dropped off near Western wall and where regrouping again which took another hour During the drive the driver of the bus and the tour guide where discussing the current political citation in Israel (I think it was in Hebrew or Arabic ) and the driver while driving was showing YouTube clips to the guide It was in time of unrest in Israel before the terrorists attack by Hamas We were brought for lunch to overpriced cafeteria with horrible food where they had beef stew on display but served you meat balls The most horrible and unpleasant experience during my whole trip

Trip to masada and dead sea
Dan Porges was the best tour guide, he was very informative, this is our first tour in Jerusalem and we learned a lot from him. We really enjoyed this tour to masada and dead sea, everything was well organized, the ruins in masada national park are amazing, swimming in the dead sea was fun, we floated with no effort, science is proved with no doubt, we are happy we joined this tour.

          Brilliant
Our favourite time on the tour was with our tour guide Avi. Took us into the old city. He was knowledgeable and understanding. I would like to know if Avi is safe. With all the horrors that’s the enfolding in his country. He was a caring man.

Dan Porges was a great guide at Masada
Great day, well-organized. The bus was not at the pick up hotel right when it was supposed to be, maybe 10 minutes late, which made us nervous, but they eventually arrived. Dan was a fun and knowledgable guide. The place where you go to the Dead Sea is a sort of private/public beach - a lot of stairs down to the sea, not the cleanest place I've gone into the Dead Sea from, but it was fine. Overall, recommended.

We had the worst guide - Avishay during our Jericho visit. It was not a pleasant experience. He brought us to this Temptation Restaurant where he told it’s only 50 shekels for a buffet. He was pressuring everybody up until we were about to pay. We ended paying 192€ for that crappy lunch. Then he just spent our time going to shops and he complained a lot for asking to bring us to Tel Aviv even if we already told the tour operator of this ahead. He has said wrong information too about the places we visited, and funny thing is one from our group knows the places better than him.

Beinharim is great, we used them for 3 tours but it was a horrible time with the tour guide assigned to us.

We're truly sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with our guide, Avishay, during your Jericho tour. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide. We understand your concern, If the buffet was advertised as 50 shekels without drinks, why did you end up paying 192€? We share your confusion about this significant difference in the final cost, and we take this matter seriously. Rest assured, we will thoroughly investigate this discrepancy to provide a clear explanation and address any issues that may have occurred in this regard.

Our tour was lead by Itamar who was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, which added to the pleasurable experience. The group atmosphere allowed for interactions with people from all walks of life and interesting inter-faith discussions. As a solo-traveler, the small group was a perfect way to explore and learn about the Jewish historical sites of Jordan, Jericho, the Mount of Temptation, and the Dead Sea which I may not have felt comfortable visiting alone.

That was awesome. Our guide, Joseph Haviv was great. He has a huge knowledge about Israel, sense of humor and great personality. He has shawn us not only the greatest view in Jerusalem, but also everything we needed to see in Jordan, Dead See and Jerycho.

Organization was excellent - with good bus, everything on time.

My wife and I have just returned from holiday in Israel. Whilst there we undertook a tour of Jericho, the Jordan river and the Dead Sea with Bein Harim. Our tour guide was Zahi Shaked (Isac) and he was great. He made the tour very enjoyable as he was funny and very engaging. He also provided great information on the sites that we visited. The tour was very well organised and the bus was modern and very clean. I highly recommend this tour and Bein Harim to anyone visiting Israel. Thanks Isac for a hugely enjoyable day ;-) - Andrew & Lorna

        1. The tour actually begins at 9.30am at Mount Scopus and not 7.55am.
        2. The tour spends more time visiting shops where the main company probably earn commission.
        3. There's a historical Greek church in the caves of the mountain of temptation but the tour prevented us from visiting this but was happy for us to spend significant amount of time in pointless shops.
        4. The tour ended on the day of the Jewish parade, which everyone knew was taking place. The tour company did not account for this eventuality and left all us stranded circa 1 hour from the centre of Jerusalem. Its fine for me but there were people with disabilities on the tour who were left stranded.

In summary, if you're interested in spending 100 dollars per person on visiting shopping malls then this is the tour for you.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused during your tour and appreciate your feedback. Allow me to address the various concerns you have raised: 1. We sincerely apologize for any delay in the tour's departure from the meeting point. Our standard departure time is between 9 to 9:15 am, and we regret any inconvenience caused by the delay. 2. I understand your concern regarding the shop visits. While there is one shop included in the tour where purchasing is optional, the majority of the tour focuses on visiting the actual sites and landmarks. We aim to strike a balance between providing informative sightseeing experiences and offering opportunities for personal exploration. 3. I apologize for any confusion or miscommunication regarding the Greek Orthodox Monastery of Temptation. It is important to note that this site is not part of the tour itinerary. We apologize for any misunderstanding and will review our communication to ensure clarity for future participants. 4. We apologize if there were instances where some guides did not provide all the necessary information, specifically regarding the flag parade later in the day. We will address this issue with our team to ensure that all guides are well-informed and provide comprehensive details to tour participants. If there is anything further we can do to address your concerns or if you have any additional feedback, please do not hesitate to let us know.

The tour started off bad right off the bat. That should have been my cue. I’ve taken many tours before in different countries and this was by far the worst. First off, the bus that came to pick us up was 40 minutes late. We got there 15 minutes early (like they asked) and ended up waiting a whole entire hour at the hotel lobby. They never called to let us know they will be late, so I had the hotel registration desk call them for me. The bus finally came and it was one of those large tour buses. The driver did not speak any English so I was confused as to what was going on. The registration desk confirmed that he was our driver, so we left with him. The inside of the bus was disgusting! One of the seat had dried up throw up on it. I could not believe it. And other seats were either broken or had gum stuck all over them or dried up food spillage. Anyways… turns out he’s not the driver for the entire tour. He drops us off at some tour guide meeting spot and we meet our tour guide, Raffe. He greats us nicely and promises that the bus we’re going on is gona be much cleaner. So we board a much smaller and cleaner bus (thank God!). Raffe had a great personality but was not very knowledgeable about the area. We first went to the Jordan river which was okay. Nothing more than standing in sewage water. But that was my expectation anyway. From there we went to Jericho. I was especially excited about this part of the trip because it’s been a dream of mine to visit the monastery on top of mount temptation. So we go up on the gondola there just for Raffe to tell us that the monastery is closed and to enjoy some pomegranate juice instead at the expensive cafe located on the mountain. He said the monastery h was closed for renovation. So we all just sat around the cafe and talked and then went back down on the gondola. Honestly I have no idea what the entire point was going up there. But as we’re going down on the gondola, we had another couple with us who were talking about the monastery. So we curiously ask how they were allowed to go. And to our surprise they say “well it’s open. You just go up. It’s about a 15 min walk” We were stunned. So not only did Raffe straight up lie to us, he intentionally had us spend time at the cafe and purchase food and drinks so he can get his commission from the restaurant. Also, just to mention that my drink was 25 shekels (approx $7). I checked my bank statement today and they charged me $20 for a fresh squeezed pomegranate juice!!! But I’m not worried… my credit card company is already working with them on refunding me.

So from there we go to the Jericho ancient ruins. He takes us to one of the excavation sites only where we spend like 15 minutes talking about how it appears to be a tower and was build approximately 7,000 BC. He then takes us to a restaurant where we have no other choice but to eat there because we’re basically in the middle of nowhere. The food was okay and not too overpriced. But again, commission right? He doesn’t care about giving us any information on the tour itself.

From there we go to the Dead Sea. And truthfully if it wasn’t for the Dead Sea, I would give this tour a zero. But the last stop was the only highlight of our trip! And even then he proceeded to take us to a store to have us purchase products for his commission.

The whole thing just seemed like an entire scam. We mainly shopped and ate and learned a few things that we would likely find on Google if not more. This trip was totally not worth the money or the time. Sorry.

Dear Yana, We regret that this was the nature of your experience. we are certainly NO scam and your comments however may reflect the nature of your particular experience, this is hardly always the case and certainly not the standard of tours we run. There is however a tone in your attitude that you felt ripped off. Firstly you are mistaken in thinking you were ascending Mt Temptation, it is written as an overview only...So you were not scammed off. So your detailed paragraph is not relevant. It is not on the itinerary .and is not listed anywhere on the tour description only a visit to the Mound!! You felt angry, it is clear you had different expectations and not always accurate ones to the condition of the tour .. ( dirty water like sewage) We are not the juice proprietor, and rightly so, demand a refund. This is Jericho, in the Palestinian territories. We have absolutely NO affiliation with them as you hint. Shop stops especially, at the Dead Sea region (for world-famous therapeutic creams and cosmetics, etc) anger some, but for some, it is a welcome opportunity. We will take seriously your comment that the guide did not provide enough commentary and hold him accountable for this. He did claim after reading this review that the person whom you were with was most satisfied with the tour and warmly complimented him.. Overall we are sorry that you left with such an impression. not one we wish for our travelers.

Took the day trip for this because Jerusalem was just too touristy. Jericho was amazing, and the Dead Sea was out of this world. Highly recommended for both historical and tourist major attractions!

I very much enjoyed this tour. It was informative, and we saw many sites. Yoav Malachi was an excellent guide. I felt very comfortable as a single traveler.
