Bethlehem Tour from Jerusalem
From $55.00
Travel from Jerusalem to Bethlehem in an air-conditioned shuttle on this guided, half-day tour. Visit the birthplace of Jesus and one of the world’s oldest churches, the Church of the Nativity. See the Grotto of Lady Mary, also called the Milk Grotto, where it is believed Mary, Joseph and Jesus sought refuge from King Herod before fleeing to Egypt. Learn about the ancient city’s landmarks and history from your guide.
What to Expect
You will meet your driver at the Abraham Hostel Jerusalem lobby or the Carta Parking Lot (Jaffa Gate) upon request. You will relax in the air-conditioned shuttle on your way to an enriching half-day tour in the holy city of Bethlehem. You will arrive at your first destination, the sacred Church of the Nativity, where you’ll meet your guide, a West Bank local and expert. You will explore the birthplace of Jesus and one of the oldest churches in the world.
You will then take a short walk to the Grotto of the Lady Mary, a large underground cave with a Franciscan chapel built above it. Immerse yourself in the site where it is believed that Mary and Joseph took Jesus and sought refuge from King Herod before fleeing to Egypt.
Shepherd's Fields on the outskirts of Bethlehem will be next on the itinerary, a popular pilgrimage site where you’ll see a number of beautiful shrines and chapels. After an exciting morning exploring the highlights of Bethlehem, the shuttle will await you for your ride back to Jerusalem, with drop-off at Abraham Hostel Jerusalem.

If you enjoy standing in line, go for it

First of all, I have to say that it's not the tourguides fault. He was ok, it's the tour that's the problem. We had to get up crazy early, drive over to Bethlehem, then walk the Star Street to the Nativity Church and up to...More

Pathetic uncritical pilgrimage-but-dont-see-city-tour

This tour does not live up to Abraham Tour's typical standard. It's standard is so low that even the tour seller in the Abraham Hostel eventually told me he knows this tour is bad! Upside for some: Most efficient way to simply quickly pilgrimage into...More
