      Buyer beware
Don't bother booking with this company they take your money send you a confirmation the night before but nobody picks you up nor do they answer the phone and they say you will be reimbursed just to shut you up 2 weeks later I'm still trying to get my money and I've returned home. Very bad business and I'm not the only person with this experience with this company also had it happen with another company in Israel. Third time I actually contacted another company to confirm before I booked and it was half price from this company. This company should be put out of business.

Would not book with them again
Tourist Israel Tel Aviv Avoid Tour Israel. They will cancel with short notice and not refund payment. 985672839 Avoid this tour provider. While in Israel, I booked three separate day tours through Tour Israel for a total of over $400. They cancelled all three when they failed to get the minimum number of participants. In one case they booked a tour at 11:30 the day before it was scheduled and canceled it at 3:30 that afternoon. In each case they promised to refund the payment to my credit card “within 7-14 business days “. they did not process the refund until after I had been home for over a month, complained on their website and posted a negative review. I could not help but notice how this differed from my experience in Egypt and Jordon where 2 overcharges by separate vendors were refunded to my credit card immediately. In one case, within 5 minutes.

      90 minutes at Petra
22 hours of travel, including 90 minutes at Petra. This is a very late review, and I don’t know if anything may have changed — it was better than nothing, but this is absolutely not how I’d recommend someone see Petra. First of all, the people who are initially on your bus aren’t the people you’ll be with the entire day. Which is fine in itself, but comes into play later. Some people are on the one day tour. Some are on the two day tour. Some aren’t going to Petra at all, but are using the bus as a shuttle to another city. Again, this is all fine. The problems began to arise at the border. Multiple other buses showed up at the same exact time, all full of tourists using the same company. This created a massive line of people trying to get into Jordan. We spent *hours* waiting to cross. That’s not an exaggeration. I understand that some things are out of the company’s control, but this isn’t one of them. Once you cross, you get on another bus and meet the guide. This all makes sense, as it’s logical to have a Jordan-based guide/driver/bus. We made a stop at a gift shop on the way. A very, very long stop. We were there for over an hour. I’m sure the guide got a very nice commission, as lots of people were buying souvenirs. Of course when you arrive at Petra, the very same souvenirs are available all over the place…for about a third of the price. I have no problem with a guide getting a commission, but I couldn’t help but feel a little misled. I’m sure the guide knew the prices were massively inflated at the gift shop. And I’m sure he also knew he was eating into our time at the site. Between the border wait and the gift shop wait, I was left with about an hour and a half at Petra. I had to leave the group behind, in an attempt to actually see more than just the Treasury. Everyone met back up at a designated restaurant afterwards — again, I’m sure there was a nice commission to be had. Yes, the description of the tour says they can’t guarantee a certain amount of time at Petra. I fully understand that. But some things are absolutely within their control…they just choose not to prioritize the experience of their customers.

      Do NOT book!
BEWARE! Do NOT book with this company! The last interaction you'd have with them is when they TAKE YOUR MONEY! Afterwards, silence... No tour, AND, no refund, either!!!

Avoid and save yourself the unpleasantness and disappointment
Gifted this tour and was incredibly disappointed. Late start. No answer at the number listed for emergencies... Did not include the promised itinerary; Bethlehem had no Christmas decorations at all; no room for tourists in the churches visited--they were already full to capacity. The celebratory meal was fine and the hotel booked by the agency was fine. But the main attractions-NIL. And I did call in advance and ask if Bethlehem would be safe and functioning and was reassured it would be.

Excellent, safe, and fun tour of Galilee
Max did great as a guide and our driver was safe/professional. The guide, Max was sensitive to my wife's disabilities. Max was multilingual too, knowing both Spanish and Russian, as do I. This was helpful, as I didn't need to translate to Spanish for my wife. He could speak directly with her. The tour was great also because I preferred to relax and let someone else drive for a day. We felt safe and cared for as well, given the current conflict situation. The tour was timely, fun, and educational. It was a pleasure to experience what Israel's northern Galilee region had to offer. We came to Israel to volunteer, as well as for sightseeing. We came to stand with Israel in this difficult time, and felt safe and fulfilled in doing so.

High Energy Fun. Amazing Guide. Highly Recommend!
ATV Desert Buggies in the Negev was amazing! The machines were fabulous and our guide - Daniel - was amazing. We had SO much fun. We went for 2 hours, but next time we will take a longer trek. He took us on an amazing ride around the crater - served the best homemade cold tea ever and explained how the crater was formed with greater clarity than I've ever heard. Was absolutely very high energy and fun - but completely safe. Kids had an amazing time! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend!

Transfer from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
Taxi ride was a good guy, but he accidentally deleted my pick up so he was an hour plus late. I had to call him to find out where he was. He got there within the half hour after I made the phone call, which was great. He said that a pick up was canceled, but he deleted the wrong one accidentally. We all make mistakes.

      Must see locations
All three locations were amazing. The tour requires a fair amount of hiking in Ein Gedi and Masada, but it is absolutely worth it! Driving through the Judean desert is beautiful, floating in the Dead Sea is a unique experience everyone should try. The views in Ein Gedi and Masada are incredible.

Overall, we enjoyed the tour as it was generally well organized and our local guides (both Palestinian and Israeli) in Bethlehem and Jericho/Jordan river were both great and knowledgeable. Only issue was that the tour started more than 1 hour late and because of that, we had no time to queue to go to the grotto of Nativity. This was quite a disappointment. For the lunch at Mt Temptation, it would have been good for the restaurant to offer more choices rather than a just a buffet.

The itinerary says that entry to the Milk Grotto is not guaranteed. I get that. But on further probing, my travel guide George admitted to me that he almost never gets to bring any of his tours to see the Milk Grotto. If Tourist Israel were to be honest, they should have dropped out the Milk Grotto from the itinerary. We got back to Jerusalem at 4 pm. The published end of the tour is 5:30 pm. We clearly could have spent some time to queue to see the spot that marks Christ's birth- the point of visiting the Church of Nativity. This tour just rushes you to finish all the places in the itinerary, but completely misses the point.

Hi CQ2007, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you ha da negative experience. As your guide said, and as we say on the website, going into the grotto is not guaranteed and it is rare that there is time to do so, as there s often a very long line that would delay the entire tour schedule. It does occasionally happen that there is time to enter, which is why we keep it on the schedule as an option for those who are lucky enough to be able to add this to their tour experience. We are sorry to hear that the tour ended early and if you'll contact us at info@touristisrael.com, we would be happy to look into what happened that day, as we do like to stick to the itinerary as advertised as closely as possible and give our customers enough time to experience every stop on the tour.

My experience good not be bad because no matter what I had been in such a special and meaningful place for me but guide and motorist were not profissional, no educational… tour says we can stop for baptism in the Jordan. They spent less time in the Jordan river than in the shopping stores… at the church of nativity we could not stay in line for even 30 min to see the site where Jesus was born… they spend time in stores when Re they may get commission for sales but do not stay for special and spiritual matters. They also changed the course of the tour in a way that was conviniente to the driver and guide… the tour description were not accurate. I would not take a tour with this company again!

The sad part is that this company looks a "serious one", but at the end of the story

Very bad experience in travelling with Tourist Travel. They think that you are stupid Western people that can overcharge them.

    1. The guide was very insufficiently informed about the historical sites

    2. The tour was organized for us to spend 15' - 20' at the historical sites, while 60-90min at the shops that the employers would take a commission.

    3. The place they took us to launch was an absolutely degraded second class for wedding receptions and they insult us by servicing us garbage food. Honestly, we couldn´t eat it. A bunch of defrosted vegetables and rewarm food that had stayed at the fridge for a week or something.. While at the other side of the room the tour guide and the bus driver were enjoying decent Arabic food.

    4. Every time we had to pay something, they were charging us in dollars and then if anyone wanted to pay in euros they were asking the same amount of money. Euro is a more expensive currency so they were making extra money from overcharging us.. For instance, if we had to pay 14 US dollar, they were asking 14 euros. So they were charging us 1,5 euros more.

At the end of the story, we felt abused.

Hi eftychiaf2018, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. We apologize if you feel that the guides were not knowledgable - in Bethlehem and Jericho we must use local tour guides and operators, as Israeli licensed tour guides cannot guide there. This is true for all Israeli tour companies. Therefore, we, unfortunately, do not have as much control over the guides nor what they choose to do, including taking customers to gift shops. However, they are licensed and do this tour every day so they should have plenty of knowledge of the area and the stops at the shops do help support the local economy, and many tourists do enjoy having the chance to stop and buy souvenirs from their visit. We promise we do not take any commission from this. We are sorry that the lunch was disappointing. This is where the tour eats every day as it is the most convenient way to include lunch during the day without losing time from the tour. We are not sure what you feel you were overcharged for in Euros vs USD. The only additional money we collect on the tour is for the cable car, and we do ask for this according to currency, so that everyone pays the same amount no matter if they brought NIS, USD, or Euros with them and we advertise this on the website as well that eveyrone will need to bring 56 NIS or 16 USD or 14 Euro. If you feel you were overcharged we would be happy to look into this anyd any other issues if you contact our customer support via email at info@touristisrael.com - we hope you still enjoyed seeing the amazing sites on your tour!

The tour is not well planned , you have first 30 minutes in a souvenir shop, then you go to the church of Nativity and you are most probably not allowed to go to the grotto where Jesus was born , better take a taxi or bus from Jerusalem at Damascus gate if you really want to see the birth place of Jesus. After that you have 1 hour lunch and then you quickly go through Jericho. If we knew we would take only the shuttle not this tour. The Jordan river place was also not as nice as the one with the Galilee tour. The tour guide Badran seems not very interested in the tour that he was leading in my opinion he only wanted to get to the lunch place. Some people did not understand when we were heading to the Jericho , i noticed missing people, the guide was not actually trying to follow who is in his group.

Dear Monica, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback regarding your recent tour experience with us. We genuinely appreciate your valuable input as it helps us continually improve our services. We are truly sorry to hear about the congestion that impacted your ability to visit the Grotto on that specific day. We understand how important it is to have the opportunity to explore this significant site, while we do our best to plan our tours meticulously, external factors such as congestion can occasionally affect the itinerary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, as it is always our goal to provide our customers with the best possible experience. Please rest assured that we have taken note of your concerns and will use this feedback to improve our tour planning and communication with our guests. We appreciate your understanding of the situation. If you have any further questions or if there's anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for choosing us for your tour, and we appreciate your understanding.

Well organised tour. Great information at each of the sites with a tour guide who was personable, willing to answer individual questions and help you get the best out of the stops.
Disappointing not to be able to see the grotto of Jesus's birth and it would be a wonderful addition to be able to visit the cave of Jerome.
One of the great things about the tour was the absence of pressure to buy from the shops at the sites.
Really pleased I booked it even though I have done similar a few years ago.
Based on my own experience, I'd recommend this day trip

We booked two tours with Tourist Israel and this was the more pleasurable of the two. Our tour of Bethlehem was excellent. Our Arab guide was knowledgeable and he spoke good English. Yossi our guide for the rest of the trip was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Our group was small, only 8 on the bus so he was able to give each of us plenty of explanation on a personal level. The hanging monastery was the highlight of the trip. The view of Jericho from above is spectacular and well worth the cable car ride and additional hiking. The Jordan river was a disappointment, but because of the commercialism of the site, not from the tour itself.

This was the best day tour ever!
A fantastic trip, first to Jerusalem, which just blew my mind, then to Bethlehem, which was a bit disappointing, the place not the tour, and then onto the Dead Sea. As with all Tourist Israel trips the organisation was first class with good knowledgeably guides all the way.
If you only do one trip while in Tel Aviv make it this one.

The tour guide was great and knowledgeable. But we had no chance to eat at all for lunch. Although I bought snacks for us and the kids, we were starving by the time we ate at 3.30pm! We didn't like the food they picked for us so we went downstairs and got a sandwich. Didn't hear our guide at Bethlehem as it was too crowded but I'm sure he said some interesting things. Both tours we went on ate way too late as we have an early start, you think they would have understood that. Anyway, loved our tour guide and I thought he made our trip pretty good (other than the food situation)
