About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- E3517HYmarkc0 contributionsTour was cancelled, agreed to refund tour cost, now there's no refund and no contact. This was the tour that wasn't. Booked this as a follow-on to an Israel trip, then October 2023 happened. Israel tour was cancelled, Abraham Tours was cancelled...not a problem, should get a refund. NOPE!!!! Numerous e-mails back and forth, they said they would issue a refund, it has not happened and now they don't reply to anything. Are they still in business? Are they just keeping the money? Better think 2x or 3x before giving them your money. If they're having problems, the professional thing would be to reply to their clients.Written June 13, 2024

Apart from an adventure, you will see the cave where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered by a Bedouin shepherd boy. - katepN3611ER0 contributionsExcellent tour and well informedEliyahu was a fantastic tour guide and answered all questions I had. It was a unique experience and I will be forever grateful I had the opportunity to visit such an important part of the world. The tour was eye-opening to the reality of the Israel-Palestine conflict and definitely gave me a well informed view of the realities of the situation. A special thank you to the woman in Netiv HaAsara who welcomed us into her home and gave us her experience of living on the border.Written October 19, 2023
- rohitmarathe0 contributionsMultiple Tours - Professionally conducted - Highly recommend! Was part of multiple day tours with them starting with the Jaffa walking tour, Mount of Olives Tour, Holy City Tour, Gaza Reality Tour, Hebron Dual Narrative Tour, Best of West Bank Tour & Masada, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea - Sunrise Tour ... all from Jerusalem. Few more were planned, but, unfortunately, were cancelled in wake of the current scenario. They promptly refunded the amount for the cancelled tours! All tours were professionally conducted & they have great tour guides. Special mention of Shakhav (hope am spelling the name right) & Eliyahu McLean (passionate & insightful tours of Gaza & Hebron). Would love to cover the balance itinerary with them albeit at a more peaceful time. Lovely, helpful team. Wishing them courage & safety in the current times!Written October 16, 2023
- carinamerlo0 contributionsAmazingI did the two day tour and had a great time but if I knew better, I would probably had done the three day instead just because Jordan was amazing and two days wasn't enough! Crossing the border was easy and our guide, Ali was the best! Great food, definitely worth it.Written October 14, 2023

We waited in a stationary bus for an hour just so the business could save some money. I did this tour once before with another tour company and that was a much better experience. - nurseMNB0 contributionsWadi Rum and Petra TourWow what an incredible experience! We joined a group of 13 other travels and we had the BEST time! Meeting new friends and seeing some amazing places! Pick up was smooth and instructions for crossing the border were given to us. We crossed easily and were picked up by our Jordan guide! Zee-en (not sure of spelling) took AMAZING care of us! He made sure we saw all the highlights and told us all the facts/history! Everything was amazing! Wadi Rum was so fun! Riding in the back of trucks through the dessert and taking a camel ride! When we finally made it to our camp it was already dark and we headed straight to dinner…which was delicious! We had paid extra for the bubble tent and wished we had arrived earlier in the day to enjoy it more because we got in late and left early in the morning. The bubble was VERY nice though! Nice shower and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was also delicious! HIGHLY recommend doing this tour!!!Written September 30, 2023

- patsym7330 contributionsJordan and Petra exceeded our expectationsExcellent Tour. Our guide and bus driver were great. Abrahams gave us full details of what to expect at the Allenby Boarder. Our guide was informative and answered many of our questions about Jordan in general. It was a young group (excluding ourselves) and we loved it. We had a full day in Petra from 8:00-18:30 with an option to do Petra by night, which some of the group did. I would highly recommend this tour. It worked well to travel into Jordan with Yom Kippur happening in Israel. Food and accommodation were excellent with everything covered in the price.Written September 26, 2023

I have toured extensively in Israel over several decades, but had never visited Hebron. In part, this is because many (most) tours to Hebron go with a very specific and usually extreme (right or left) bias. I had no interest in either of those approaches. I feel so fortunate to have found the Dual Narrative tour that Abraham Hostel offers. Eliyahu Mclean, who conceived of the tour, was a truly excellent guide from Jerusalem and through the Jewish sites and into the Jewish area of the Cave of Machpelah. He approached all questions with a level of honesty and humor that made this very complicated topic understood by our varied group. The sites and people that we met with gave their own perspectives and were generally honest in acknowledging that there are other points of view. Our guide on the Palestinian side, Mohammed, was excellent as well. Sharing lunch in his home was a special added touch. Again - I can't say enough good about this tour. If you are someone who wants to learn, or someone who passionately loves one community or the other but still wants to learn about the alternative narrative on the opposing side, this is for you as well. Be prepared, though, it is an emotionally exhausting day as well!

If you do one thing on your trip, make it this tour. It is absolutely so informational and an incredible experience to be able to spend half the day with a Palestinian guide and half the day with an Israeli guide. The tour is phenomenal, I wish literally everyone I knew could take it. You feel extremely safe, the lunch in a Palestinian family's home is delicious, and you really learn so so much from Palestinians and Israelis. Hebron is also a fascinating city and very beautiful.
PLEASE take this tour.

This was a great tour and I really recommend it. We took public transport (tram and bus) to Hebron which was easy and comfortable. Our Israeli guide accompanied us and gave explanations on the journey to Hebron and delivered us to our Palestinian guide, then collected us again to guide us in the afternoon. Both guides gave reasonably balanced explanations and introduced us to people who live and work in Hebron. It was fascinating to see the differences in the various areas in the city.
Lunch was tasty and plentiful, provided by a Palestinian family.

I can only recommend this tour for anyone interested in getting an insight into the two different sides of the Israeli- Palestine conflict. Guides on both sides of the city of Hebron have shared their views openly and addd their personal experiences with every day life in a divided city. A great opportunity to learn about the situation. Don‘t miss it.

This tour was excellent. Eliyahu and Marwa were both great guides. We saw the amazing historical sites and heard from people who live there on both sides of the conflict. Other tours like Masada, you can do on your own and get similar information. But I don't think I would have been able to meet and learn from all the people we met and go to all the places we went on my own. I highly recommend this tour, and I commend Eliyahu for organizing tours like this to inform visitors and encourage peace. Thank you!

Amazing experience. Eli shared so many insights and gave us a lot of important historical background. We were also able to meet with an Israeli settler and her talk was so interesting we all decided to take a later bus home! Mohamed and Tarek captivated us with their personal experiences and really brought to life the Palestinian view.

I found Eliyahu's tour very informative and inspiring. It really out the situation into perspective and gave me a sense of both sides of the Israeli Palestinian conflict. A very valuable experience, I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to understand the complexity and the confusion of this Middle East conflict.

This Hebron Dual Narrative tour was very informative and offered great insight into this separated city. Unlike other tours this one was split in two. The first part of the day was with a Palestinian guide who gave her narrative and perspective on Hebron and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The second part was with an Israeli guide who gave the Israeli perspective. Because of this the trip to Hebron was nuanced and enabled us to form our own understanding of this complex city. Both guides were very kind and professional, thank you Leena and Eliyahu!

In 10 hours you have much better overview of the situation on both sides. First half of the day you spend with Palestinian guide, walking through H1/H2 parts of Hebron, then you have lunch with the Palestinian family during which you hear their story. In the afternoon Eli- Israeli guide takes over and you get to learn the other part of the story. Through out the trip you have a good feeling of what it is like to live in the most complicated city and you really appreciate the environment you are coming from. Eli makes the whole complicated story explained in an easier to understand words but you can still be confused. Highly recommend! We have done it with a teenagers and for them it was an eye opener.

After having done all the three Westbank Tours offered by Abraham I can say that the Hebron tour was highly interesting, definitely a highlight of my time in Israel and the best among the three. It allowed me to understand more in depths both sides of the conflict as well as their views and opinions. The Palestinian Narrative could be even more emphasized as we did not really get the chance to talk to an everyday Palestinian in Hebron. The guide was very knowledgeable and managed to inform us and his perspective about this very contentious city while giving us also space to discuss together

Would it be appropriate to bring an 11-year-old on this tour?
Written August 13, 2019
There is no reason why not but the tour is long on history and dates and short on entertainment. The child may find it a long day and a long walk.
There was no child in my group when i visited, the youngest being perhaps 16 or 17

My wife and I are in our 70s, and I have some mobility issues. How strenuous is this trip?
Thank you.

Let me see, we took the tram, then the bus. There were some stairs to negotiate, and some walking on both the Israeli and Palestinian sides. I found it emotionally draining, not physically so, but I am a runner and fitness trainer, though 65.
