About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- mattmA8389PY0 contributionsJerusalem Tour OptionVery informed guide and it was well organized with good quality for the cost. Pickup and drop off was easy. 3 of my other Nazareth, Jericho and Bethlehem tours were canceled so buyer beware if the group has less than 4 people as the tour will be canceled. They refund your money quickly within the week for me, which I greatly appreciated. Good luckWritten January 9, 2025

- 811martenp0 contributionsMasada Dead sea relaxI really enjoyed the trip! The guide Eyal was very provident and professional! I Learned a lot about the places we passed by. We went through the sites without any hurry. The things were explained in an very eupeptic manner. Although we passed through the Westbank in summer 2024, there was no impression of any danger on the way. Local people we found where very kind at all places. The stay at the beach was about 1.5h, enough to enjoy this extraordinary place. Thanks for a very nice trip!Written June 26, 2024
- 811martenp0 contributionsJerusalem in a rushIt was a really nice trip! The guide Abu Shai was very professional, a history professor giving courses in US universities, as he stated. And indeed a lot of historical background was given beyond the facts about the sites we visited. Furthermore information was always intended to be in a consistent (not always religious) context. I really enjoyed the discussions. Unfortunately, we went through Jerusalem with a great portion of hurry, not really giving us time to rest and contemplate as I would have preferred for such a magic place on earth. People were also told to don't stop at any stall or photographic site except the ones we were told by the guide. The excuse was that we had to pass by so many places in the given time frame. Finally we finished the tour in around 6 hours. Anyway I learned a lot and enjoyed what I found. ThanksWritten June 26, 2024
- esimisrael0 contributionsUnforgettable Masada and Dead Sea Adventure! This "Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Tel Aviv" was incredible! The convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off, combined with comfortable air-conditioned travel, made the journey stress-free. Our guide's detailed explanations at Masada were enlightening, enhancing our appreciation of this historic site. Floating in the Dead Sea was a surreal experience, with optional therapeutic treatments available. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Israel!Written June 26, 2024

- F6783QFjimt0 contributionsTrip of a lifetime!Avi was our driver and tour guide. Easy efficient pick up and drop off. This was a 'return' trip for me after 53 years. Avi made the trip live up to all my expectations and more. We covered the Sea Level pit stop on the way down to the rift valley from Jerusalem. The cable car ascent of Masada and Avi gave us just the right depth of insight without any stress or rush. Then our time at Kalil Beach for our float in the Dead Sea and our self-pasting with Dead Sea mud was the best! A once in a lifetime experience not to be missed. It was a humbling honour to be blazing the trail for the return of tourism to Israel after the devastation wrought on 7 October 2023.Written May 31, 2024
- RLFCYCLE0 contributionsUnreliableThe operator cancelled the tour 12 hours beforehand and all the others were booked. Unacceptable and unprofessional. The guide then did not return text messages. Stay away from this.Written May 26, 2024
- katlinw20240 contributionsGreat tour and amazing tour guideThis trip was the highlight of my time in Israel. Itamer was an amazing tour guide- his knowledge of history, Israel, and the Bible all fused to make this trip really memorable. All the sites we visited were amazing, there was ample time at each one but it didn’t feel like we were there for too long, and Itamer did a great job conducting the tour in multiple languages for different people. He truly cared about each person having a great experience. Visiting Jesus place where he grew up and did most of his ministry was truly incredible and the price for the tour was great. If you go, download what’s app because they will communicate with you that way for the pick up and drop off.Written May 21, 2024

We had a great experience with Itamar, a funny, witty and super knowledgable guide.
We lived in Israel all our lives and yet we have learned lots of new things about the old city, the religious sites, the history and the traditions of the place.
The tour was thoughtfully planned, with frequent stops to enable everyone to take pictures and rest. Thank you for a wonderful day.

We had a confusing situation where I signed up father in law by mistake for this tour and we realized we had to walk and he could not (he needs a walker). Fortunately, Dan Porges was very helpful and he found a can driver who could take him close tp the Western Wall so he could go there. Dan, although Jewish, was respectful of our Christian beliefs. He also took us for a tour a few days later to the Dead Sea and he helped me figure out how to take my father in law to the beach. Dan was also very knowledgeable and I later looked up some of the famous portraits he has done of Israeli prime ministers, intellectuals, and musicians. Dan Porges is a great guide!

WOW! what an experience. Our tour was a Spanish/English mix and the tour guide did an excellent job at making sure both languages needs were met. I wish i would’ve written his name down because he was great!!!! This tour included where Jesus was buried which was very emotional for my mom to see. At the end of the tour, while we were waiting for the bus to take off, the tour guide came up to my mom and i with an olive branch from a tree and some rosemary and handed it to my mom. He told her he knew out of everyone in the group, she would appreciate something like this. And she definitely did!!! It made us both emotional and we greatly appreciate how thoughtful it was of him to think of something so special. We absolutely recommend this tour to anyone and again want to thank our amazing tour guide for making today such a special day for us.

The experience was outstanding, the taxi driver and the guide were so good. They give you their personal experience.
The guide of Abdalahad was specially good. It’s a pleasure listen his explanations about the Cristian places that you visit and how the Cristian community lives there. If you want a more spiritual, personal and connective experience in your visit to Bethlehem that’s your tour.

Great Guide, Yaakov! We started at the highest point in Jerusalem to see all the historic spots to get oriented before traveling to each one. Yaakov made sure we saw everything. He explained the sites very well and kept track of us in a very busy place!

The guide Daniel was very friendly and had a good, personable manner.
Especially if you are staying overnight in Jerusalem, the beginning is a bit annoying, as all the tours are put together and distributed at a large meeting point. It seems a bit chaotic.
Anyone who expects highly detailed historical details may be disappointed. But you will definitely get an overall overview and insight.
You can always buy drinks along the way, at the shops you pass by.
There is also a 10-15 minute toilet break in a souvenir shop, but you don't have to buy anything, you can also buy something to drink right next to it and wait a bit.

We greatly appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that Daniel, our guide, was both friendly and provided valuable insights during the tour. While the beginning of the tour may have seemed a bit chaotic, we are continuously working to improve our processes for a smoother start.
Furthermore, we understand that not everyone may be seeking highly detailed historical information, and we aim to strike a balance that caters to a variety of interests. Thank you for choosing us for your journey!

Itamar did great with a pretty diverse group. Engaging, informative, flexible, and helpful even for things outside of the tour. Clearly an experienced guide who understood what this diverse group was looking for. Stops were organized and timed just right to keep everyone engaged, fed, and happy throughout.

The tour worth the price, the tour guide very nice and informative. The driver also very cooperative. The guide explained everything properly in a funny way. The lunch was a charity, I did not eat. They did not provide water nor snack during the trip, so don’t wait for a lunch, go with food and water or keep buying during the trip. But sill was very nice trip due to the guide even the nice people that provide de cold and old cooked food.

The sights that the tour covered were beautiful and moving, but unfortunately the guide detracted from the experience. It could have started better - they were late (and unapologetic). We paid more for this tour because it was advertised as smaller groups but we were around 25.
All that aside, the guide was unfortunately flippant and almost rude to some of the guests who asked questions. He actually answered on one occasion that he didn't know the answer to a question because he "wasn't there at the time that it was built". He showed us a map that he admitted was bad but that he hadn't had time to get a new one....
At the end of the half day, he brought us at a restaurant and suggested we eat there with the whole day tour and he would guide us out after lunch to the agreed upon ending point. When we said that we would rather try going out by ourselves and if he could just point the way, he claimed it was a maze and too complicated to give us directions. The man we bought water from in front of the restaurant had no trouble telling us to go straight, turn right and then right again - it was a 5 minute, super simple walk.
Going on a tour of the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall is a great idea, just maybe not with this tour group.....

Bein Harim is regretful that this was the nature of your tour experience. We will have to investigate it fully. Kindly pass this to our customer service dept in an email,
Such feeback is essentiall for us to hold all guides accountable, which we do, !The shabby map is not acceptable but his humor is...
Obviously this is not the norm! kind of behaviour, as the 94 % 5 star reviews on this platform indicate. Our guides are 5 star standard!
One can indeed get very easily lost in the the alleys of the Old City. Fact, especially not being familiar. That would be a standard answer, as he did offer to show you out, after the lunch . He was not being out of manner.but honest, maybe too much so,...
Lunch is not mandatory but this is a group tour and shedule and the guide manages this accordingly.
