The best way to experience the holy city of Jerusalem is with a private tour, which will allow you to understand its complexity, learn about its rich history, experience the archeology and feel the culture. I love guiding, I love Jerusalem and the land of Israel and nothing makes me happier than to share this love with others. I present very rich and informative guidance while presenting the information in a very vivid manner.

A one-day visit to Jerusalem is not enough to even scratch the surface of all there is to see and learn about the history and culture of the old city. It’s important to work with a someone that is willing to customize the itinerary for the time allowed and the interests of the group.

Israel With Fun (IsraelWithFun.com) was a perfect Friday it. Tour guides in Israel go through a strict certification process and Daniel Sigalov , the owner of ‘Israel With Fun’ and Ejal Dujovny, the second guide for our group are both certified and did an amazing job as they guided us through our day in Jerusalem.

From a historical perspective, it was like walking back in time. Our starting point was the amazing view from the Mount of Olives and a drive that paused for an excellent traditional lunch at the Borderline restaurant (which was actually on the border line between Jerusalem and Jordan from 1949 through 1967). The menu included chicken and beef kabobs, hummus and a local rice dish that was delicious.

We continued our journey through history in the Old City of Jerusalem. I have learned to appreciate the transmitters and earphones which allowed our guides to talk without shouting and for us to hear what was being said even from a bit of a distance. Also, it was almost impossible to get lost if you kept an eye on Daniel’s distinctive yellow hat.

Our walking tour included a glimpse of the cities four quarters: The Armenian, Muslim with the Dome of The Rock located on the Temple Mount, Christian with the Church of the Holy Sepulture where it is believed Christ was crucified and buried and the Western Wall the closest retaining wall to the former temple on the Temple Mount. We also were able to walk the path of Christ down the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow).

I would have liked more time to explore the myriad of shops with souvenirs, rosaries, prayer shawls and food. We barely touched the tip of the shopping iceberg. Many of the shops, that sell antiquities or nicer jewelry, are certified by the government and monitored which is a plus.

Our day’s journey into history ended at the Wailing Wall, which is a small segment of the Western Wall an ancient limestone retaining wall in the Old City of Jerusalem. Thank you, Daniel and Ejal, for an fascinating and educational visit into the past.

I don’t think there are enough stars to give Danial for his private tour. I’ve always believed that no matter the subject the history/guide can make or break the experience. Danial certainly made this experience. His energy, knowledge and way he explains things is excellent. He brings history to life, I want to give examples but that would spoil the surprise and enjoyment he provides. I cannot recommend his tours highly enough and my next visit to Isreal will certainly involve another tour with Danial! Thank you Danial for an excellent and fun day!

Daniel could not do this experience himself because he was very busy, so he arranged for 2 guides for my husband and myself.
Day one we went to Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
They were both fabulous.
Adiel...our guide for Jaffa and Tel Aviv was a historical guy. Stories, antiquity and beauty of scenery are for a lovely day.
Ilan, was our guide for Jerusalem... taking us through the holy city. The streets are narrow and I can't walk for long periods so the three of us made the journey, in part by golf cart.
My only regret is that our day in Hsifa was a total bust! My husband fractured his arm in Rome before our cruise and complications forced us to cancel our day with Daniel.
Looking forward to our next trip to Israel.
Thank you Daniel for arranging all of it.

I took a tour with Israel with Fun on Jerusalem Day 2022. There was violence a few weeks earlier, so many at the US State Dept and Israeli government issued travel warnings. Daniel's guide, Tanya, did a great job getting us all the way from Haifa to Jerusalem, then out before the parade began and over to the Dead Sea. We thought she did a great job given the limitations and we were able to fit in an abbreviated tour of just a few major sites safely and efficiently.

We came to jerusalem from Ny for our son's bar mizva. Daniel was an excellent guide, he was attentive, patient (we had small children with us) and externally knowledgeable. We would highly recommend for anyone who's looking to do a tour in the holy places of Jerusalem.

Daniel is a wonderful, exceptionally knowledgeable private tour guide. He has marvelous insight into the cultural and religious aspects of Israel and he uses maps and pictures to illustrate his teachings. We added another day with him to visit Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee and we also used his darling wife, Evelin, for a half day tour of Haifa. We had three marvelous days with these two guides and we learned a massive amount of information about Israel. We loved it!
