Please, go to Betlehem and do the tour with Daniel!
This was an incredible tour. Daniel is very generous in sharing his experience and knowledge. It is definitely worth it, and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. We felt absolutely safe the entire time, and it was amazing to visit such a vivid and lively city. People are incredibly welcoming and kind. Absolutely recommended visit and the tour with Daniel. You will have an amazing day and learn so much.

        I wholeheartedly recommend Dani's tour
Dani's tour was quite distinct. It doesn't solely concentrate on the religious facets of Bethlehem, but also delves into the political dimension. We explored the Aida refugee camp, gaining a truly insightful perspective on life adjacent to the separation wall. Dani exhibited friendliness and helpfulness that extended even after the tour concluded. He guided us to an exceptional restaurant in Beit Jala, where we enjoyed an authentic culinary experience. I wholeheartedly recommend taking the tour with Dani.

If you are serious about discovering Palestine - THIS IS IT
This is not your typical touristy tour that you will book with any other company operating in Israel and the West Bank. Dani is going to show you the realities on the ground in a deeply educational, emotional, and thought provoking way. He went above and beyond in every way to immerse me into the daily life of Palestinians in Bethlehem. I have traveled around the world but this experience was unique in every way. This is highly recommended for people with serious interest in the geopolitical history and current situation in Palestine. It will open your eyes and leave you thinking, learning, and processing for many days to come.

        Dani’s Tours are Excellent!
I took two tours with Dani, to Nablus and Hebron, and I absolutely loved them. Trip to Nablus
The trip to Nablus was very valuable and appealing to all senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch. An interesting and enriching visit to a soap making place, the old town market, a spice shop and more. And the special Jacob's Well Church, where Jesus met the Samaritan woman at this well, a special experience, refreshing. Daniel is a very good and knowledgeable guide, the planning of the day was very good, you could also enjoy the road driving to and from this city. Recommend!

        in-depth tour of Bethlehem
If you are looking for an informative tour, with attention to political and social issues instead of only visiting touristy places: choose for a tour by Dani. It was a huge advantage to be shown around by Dani with just us as a family and not in an anonymous large tour group. This custom made tour is highly recommended!

A most meaningful day, highly recommend!
My wife, daughter and I met Dani on a day it was cold and raining. We visited the walled off hotel and musuem, Migrant area, the Dead Sea, Jericho! An Amazing day! Thank you Dani!! Dani encouraged us asking difficult questions on the most challenging of subjects. A side note. If you are staying in Jerusalem, allow 1.5 hours to walk to the bus stop outside the Damascus gate and take the bus to Bethlehem. It sets the mood and is safe. You do go through a checkpoint going back which is why you Just can’t grab a taxi. Very interesting.

        Thought provoking and eye-opening
Dani Alternative Tours provides rare insight into the Israel-Palestine conflict from a Palestinian perspective. The highlight of the tour was going to a refugee camp. We were surprised (as was our guide) to meet someone just released from prison and get his perspective as well. The interweaving of this with the work of Banksy, who has visited Palestine, was also a highlight. Highly recommended!

Highlight of my trip was the two days I spent with Dani
Dani was a remarkable guide. I spent two days with him, one-on-one. He was very generous with his time -- he went over and above my expectations to show me around, and to solve some problems I was having with transportation. I learned a lot from him, and give him my highest recommendation. Through Dani, I met and spoke with several Palestinian residents, artists, and shopkeepers. We had lunch with a Palestinian family, and saw artisans at work in glass-blowing, ceramic, and sesame production. The tour and conversations in the Aida refugee camp were a highlight of the tour.

Well organized, informative and personal experience in Palestine
We made a one-day trip to Palestine. And with the help of Dani we experienced it in best way possible. Dani was recommended by us through our host in Jerusalem. He is local Christian – evangelical priest in fact, who lives and preaches in Bethlehem. We only roughly knew what wanted – to visit holy places of the Bible and to experience situation in Palestine by ourselves. As Dani is easy to communicate with (answers were always prompt and clear) he helped us decide on locations to visit. He also was more than a guide – he was our host in Palestine. Extremely punctual – he took care of us from the moment we left the bus in Bethlehem. He was an able driver in sometimes rather chaotic traffic. And flexible as well at making changes according to the needs and requests (sometimes last minute) from our side. What You can expect from Dani: As a Christian priest himself he has plenty of knowledge to share on all sacred places located in Palestine. Be it a church of Nativity or Patriarch Cave - expect in depth details on both history and religious significance of the place You'll visit. As a Palestinian he knows all the joys and troubles of the everyday life in the Palestine. Be it food, groceries, local merchandise or interesting points of visit – he knows them all. But most importantly, as an peace activist, Dani can help You understand the sad reality of Palestine living under occupation. Without strict judgment Dani shows that there is too much force and too little love in the Holy Land. He helps You understand that under occupation both sides are far from equal both in terms of power and responsibility. And, regardless of difficult present, he infuses hope for the future. The future where neither Israelis, nor Palestinian need guns to feel safe and where violence is not a part of equation. All in all – great experience, with a great guide in a great country.

An essential tour to understand life in Bethlehem and the West Bank.
Im very grateful I had the opportunity to take this tour with Dani. From the beginning Dani committed to an evidence based, balanced and passionate tour of Bethlehem but with a focus on the life of its inhabitants. If you want to understand the interplay of historical, political, military and colonial actions and movements - this is the tour. At times it was deeply moving, like walking through the refugee camp where Pope Francis held mass in 2014. Its also challenging and disturbing seeing scope of military occupation. Sharing is encouraged, and questions and views always welcomed. Dani is a smart, fair-minded and educated man, who sings too! I loved seeing the original Banksy stencils up close. Very powerful and wow! The final stop at the Wall Off museum is amazing. Id say the tour is essential viewing for all visitors to Bethlehem - it definitely shapes your worldview.

Gaining Better Insight I\into Biblical Cities of Jericho and Hebron
Although my wife and I studied in seminaries and are serving as pastors, yet there are still many things do not know about the Bible. As we are based in Bethlehem Bible College for 5 weeks, we were introduced to our tour guide Daniel. He is a Palestinian who speaks excellent English. We booked him to take us to two different cities. On the way to Jericho, he went the extra mile to take us to the Tomb of Lazarus in Bethany. He explained why Jesus waited four days before raising Lazarus from the dead. From here he drove us through Judean Wilderness where the elevation dropped over 1,000 meters! We stopped at St Gerasimos where Daniel explained Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus fled and took shelter at a cave to escape Herod’s edict who wanted to kill boys under 2 years. After this, he drove us to Jordan River. Tradition has it that Jesus was baptized in Jordan River because after that, He was tempted by Satan in the Judean Wilderness (or desert) which is located nearby. Daniel took us to see the old Jericho city which is still under cursed. We visited Elisha Spring Fountain and drank fresh cool water which he assured us is safe. Daniel was supposed to take us to Hisham Palace but we negotiated for Qumran Caves. He was flexible enough to agree to the change of place of interest in order to satisfy our request. This was an invaluable experience as we saw how accurate the Old Testament was preserved. Our last place of interest was the Dead Sea. He explained it contains 9.6 times more mineral than the ordinary sea water. When asked why this high mineral content, he offered his scientific and biblical insights! What’s more, he even floated on the Dead Sea with us! Since Daniel took us on such an enjoyable experience to Jericho, we trusted in him to take us to Hebron. This is where the Biblical patriarchs like Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob were buried according the accounts in Genesis. So how does Daniel know so much about all these Biblical and historical facts and figures? We found out that he has studied a subject in tourism at Bethlehem Bible College. No wonder he is well trained to be a good tour guide with great knowledge about Biblical places. We would recommend him to you if you are looking for a tour guide to help you gain good insights in the Biblical places you like to visit during your Holy Land Tour.

We went on a private tour with Daniel of Hebron and it was everything we were hoping for. We not only visited ancient and important sites for our faith, we learned about the ongoing tensions and conflict from people who experience it. Daniel is kind, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. We highly recommend him to anyone looking to visit Hebron.

Daniel drove me from the House of Peace Hostel to Hebron for this most interesting and informative tour. I got to see fenced up old Gold Market, walk through the souk, and listen to locals share their stories.

Because we did the tour on Friday, I didn't get to visit the Ibrahimi Mosque housing the tomb of Abraham. I did however see it from the Jewish side together with the tombs of the Patriarchs/matriachs.

And then, we also visited Herodium which was a real highlight for me! I've always wanted to see the place. One interesting point made by Daniel was that when the magi went to see Herod in the birth story of Jesus, they likely met him at Herodium which is near Bethlehem. That would have been the nearest fortress palace that Herod built! I'm still thinking about that!

We booked a trip with Dani based off finding him online and we are glad we decided to make the trip with him.

He picked us up from the bus station and proved to be a friendly bubbly and knowledgeable guide.

Hebron was an eye opening experience and we were very glad we went and got to see what people are experiencing day to day. We won't spoil it but if you have the time definitely go check it out with Dani.

We loved the little touches with the food stops and would highly recommend his service to others.

For what you pay vs doing a group tour with lots of people it's a no brainer to book a private tour with this great guide!

I was travelling solo and booked a tour with Dani. He picked me up from Bethleham bus station and then we went to Hebron where we saw the Tomb of Abraham, Glass factory, Hebron Market, then he took me to this delicious falafal place in Hebron. I stayed the night at the Peace Hostel in Bethleham and his parents were great hosts. Next day we saw the Sheapard’s meadow, Banksy Hotel, the wall, refugee camp and this amazing Kunafe place in Bethleham. All in all i had a great time with Dani, he is detail oriented and well versed in his knowledge about events, places and history. He is friendly and accommodating.

I enjoyed Dani's tour to Hebron very much.
Dani is a good guide and shares valuable insights regarding happenings in the West Bank.
We received a better understanding and gained more perspective regarding the conflict by walking the ground and meeting people who are able to share firsthand experiences from where they live and work.
Apart from learning about the conflict, Dani is a good musician who can play instruments and sing well - so you may be sure to enjoy music with him when a good piano or pleasant acoustics are present!
For a meaningful and memorable tour in places within the West Bank - Dani is your guide! :)

Our tour guide, Dan, is superb. He is knowledgeable, open to answer any questions & has good understanding of the various attractions and issues.. He goes with our pace and won't rush us to quickly finished a particular place but gave us time to reflect and process the sites that we visited. Hebron is a must go to visit venue if you are coming to Bethlehem... & Go with Dani
