About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 348talam0 contributionsThe absolute best experience and highlight of our tripHazem is the most knowledgeable, engaging, and kind tour guide I've ever had. Our experience visiting these remarkable places would not have been the same without him. He is deeply knowledgable about politics, history, religion and is an incredible storyteller. It was so nice to be able to take our time and learn things at our leisure, stopping at different small places along the way. There are so many details about these holy and historical places that Hazem points out that are so fascinating and really demonstrate his knowledge. It is a very different experience than going with those big tour groups, which are often impersonal and you really don't learn as much. A private tour with Hazem is worth *every penny* and you will leave knowing so much more about Palestine and seeing places you would have never been to on your own. In addition to the Jericho and Bethlehem tours, we also did private tours of Nablus, Ramallah, and of Jerusalem's old city. A tour with Hazem is a MUST! He is really the best.Written September 24, 2023
- X4869FTryanm0 contributionsGreat day in Jerusalem and Bethlehem!Hazem was fantastic. So incredibly knowledgeable and made it such a great day. It was my birthday and it was well spent. It was hard to fit everything into one day but Hazem made sure I had all the high points it information. We hit it off well and by the end of the day, we decided we’re cousins. Would recommend Hazem to anyone!Written September 22, 2023
- georgesA4177MG0 contributionsBethlehem and JericoHazem was the perfect guide for our visit to Bethlehem and Jericho - gracious, welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable, besides being accommodating. Not only did we visit the historical religious sites of the Nativity and Shepherd’s Church, as well as the Jordan River, but sites in-between. We saw and lived actual history too along the way and between the Occupied Territory and Israel proper. Can’t thank enough, highly recommend.Written September 20, 2023
- chchnz1900 contributionsA unique and thought provoking dayThank you very much Hazem. We had a fascinating morning with you - we really appreciated your extensive knowledge about Bethlehem & Christianity. We also feel very grateful to have received such a clear, dignified and personal explanation about Palestinian history and current living conditions on the West Bank. We wish you and your family well Arohanui Juliet & HamishWritten September 19, 2023
- 960RichardM0 contributionsFantastic experience with amazing guide. A must-do tour! This tour was super interesting. Hazem knows a lot about the areas we visited and was accommodating to include other site visits in the tour on our request. He explained things in great detail and was fun to be with. We had many great laughs, but he also does not shy away from serious topics which gives you a different point of view on the Palestine-Israeli relationship in past and present. Super interesting tour and I highly recommend doing a tour with him. Thank you Hazem. We are still processing the overload of impressions and information.Written September 19, 2023
- joannacR259MI0 contributionsA great, informative experienceWe took a private half day tour of Bethlehem with Hazem in August 2023 meeting on the Palestinian side of check point 300. The bus and checkpoint crossing were very straightforward. Hazem is incredibly passionate, knowledgeable and open to any questions. We enjoyed an extremely informative tour, with great communication and flexibility from Hazem before and during. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Highly recommendedWritten August 26, 2023

- JBF09170 contributionsKnowledgeable and enjoyable guideHazem is a wonderful guide. We met him in Bethlehem for our Jericho and Jordan River tour. He provided a truly customized experience for us and was mindful of all the details (clean car, water, comfortable pace). My husband and I always forget to take pictures, but Hazem snapped a few photos of us and sent afterwards. It was a very thoughtful gift at the end of an enjoyable tour. We would book Hazem again for future tours.Written July 20, 2023
- U6861GGgeorgeh0 contributionsHappy and SadHappy and Sad A pilgrimage to Bethlehem is every Filipino's dream. Our dream came true last week and our guide, Hazem Bannouri gave us a very interesting insight about this city. An affable guy, he knows the history of the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd’s Field in Beit Sahour the by the palm of his hands. We are truly grateful to him. But, we also felt very sad when we visited the UN Aida Refugee Camp. We already knew that not all is well between Israel and Palestine, but seeing the realities of war 1st hand and innocent victims of this (children) made us very sad. My family and I will include Israel and Palestine in our prayers. Both are very wonderful countries and, we hope that true peace will come to this place someday. Incidentally, we Filipinos call this place, the Holy Land. Shalom, Inshallah, God Bless! -George, Jennifer, Isabella and Aaron Hizon from Manila, PhilippinesWritten July 12, 2023

- Mthood770 contributionsJericho, Hebron & Bethlehem Private Tour with Hazem BannouraIf you are looking for a wonderful, kind and knowledgeable local guide—Hazem Bannoura is truly an incredible guide. We were able to tour Bethlehem, Hebron & Jericho. His knowledge and love of history made the day so interesting. He was able to help us minimize lines in Bethlehem and since he grew up in Bethlehem knew of the perfect places for meals, hotels & was well liked by other guides and security personal we encountered. He is a very safe driver and gave us the tour we asked for. Taylor made for what we were interested in. Thank you Hazem. We will be using this tour guide again when we travel back to Israel next year.Written June 14, 2023
- M849KMthomasv0 contributionsGetting to know how the life is in BethlehemHazem is a great guide, full of knowledge about the situation and the people here. He has a very reflected opinion and offers an interesting perspective on living here in an area full of people hating each other. He surely gives you a lot of insights into life in Bethlehem and the area. Surely not a classical tourist tour but if you want to hear what people actually think here, I would highly recommend going with him and talking with him.Written June 12, 2023

We did a full day tour of Bethlehem, Mar Saba and Herodian. Hazem was an excellent guide. He was full of knowledge and interesting facts and his delivery of information kept us interested and engaged throughout the entire day. He was very open to all of our questions and patient whenever we wanted to spend some extra time at any sight. We were a bit nervous, as it was our first time visiting the country, and Hazem was very reassuring and made us feel safe. We would highly recommend him as a tour guide to anyone wanting to visit Bethlehem and it’s surrounds. Thank you for a wonderful day.

To say that this trip was eye-opening was an understatement. I was a staunch Christian but it wasn't the Church of Nativity that blew me away, it was the wilderness of Kidron Valley, the hospitality of the Palestine people, the contagious smiles of the street vendors and the small museum at the Walled Off Hotel that left a lasting impression. It's such a lovely and safe place. I am glad that I went and I will go again.

We were in Palestine for a few days over New Year's Eve 17/18 and Hazem was a great tour guide which introduced us in the history and culture of Bethlehem and the surroundings. He is very good informed and gave our trip a wonderfull atmosphere. After our trip we had a deeper understanding of the place and the people living there.

My small group of ladies and I recently took a tour of Palastine with Hazem. I wanted to understand the past and present history of the region from someone who has grown up there.
Hazem first off is a fun person to spend time with. He also has done a great job of building a tour that simultaneously gives visitors an overview of the history of the region, the current relevant information, hits the top sites, top foods, and leaves you ready to learn more. What I also liked about this tour is that Hazem invites local voices to share their own stories along the way. I would recommend anyone who likes to learn culture to book a tour with Hazem. In addition to the above, he was an excellent communicator from the first contact to the last.

We were connected to Hazem through a friend to see Palestine through the eyes of a Palestinian. While I read BBC News and Al Jazerra, I was overwhelmed by the stories of those living in Bethlehem and Hebron. Hazem did a marvelous job leading us around and showing us the sights.

We booked a private tour with Hazem. This was the best tour of our entire trip! We divided our day between the history/current events of Palestine and the religious history/locations of Bethlehem. Hazem is passionate about his country and is a great story teller/educator. He met us the minute we crossed the checkpoint and took great care of us the whole day! I’m often asked if we felt safe so I will share that we always felt save. I really enjoy the benefits of a private tour over being with 100 others. The private tour offers the chance to truly talk and get to know your guide. By the end of the day we felt we had made a friend in Palestine. I highly recommend Hazem as a guide, we wish we had met him earlier in our trip so we could have planned additional tours. Meeting others and understanding different cultures is why we travel and this experience will be one remember!

Literally the highlight of our trip. I can't believe there are only 22 reviews. Hazem is a hidden gem! I wish we could have been with him for a week. We had 2 full days in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Hebron and Ramallah. He was so nice and kind, like a family member. He was super knowledgeable about the history of the area and the current status. I honestly can't say enough. The teens loved him too. I would love to go back for another tour. We traveled for 18 days and nothing compared with his tour. Both days we had a clean van with AC (group of 6), water, and a driver. It made it so nice to learn and discuss things while we drove, let alone the curb side pick up service. He recommended great stops that the family would enjoy and worked out an itinerary in advance based on what we were looking for. We stopped at great places for lunch and he recommended other places for dinner, shopping, etc. Book a tour, it was worth every penny. 10 stars!

Hazeem was excellent as a tour guide. He is considerate, careful and has a depth of sensitivity and understanding through which he is able to bring historical and human understanding to the area. It is helpful that he knows his way around and we were able to jump the line at critical points when, otherwise, we would have been waiting for hours. Not to be missed.

Thank you Hazem. Just one last thing, do they stamp my ( Australian ) passport when you cross over into Palestine? I only ask as I travelled from Jordan and will return to Jordan on Sunday and don't want any border crossing issues if there is a Palestinian stamp in my passport. If you can confirm at your earliest I will make a booking for tomorrow asap
