Our day spent with Nese was magical. We met as tourist and guides and left as friends. Her love of Istanbul, her twenty five years of guiding and her quick wit and knowledge will make for a great day. She was very kind to our our adult son who was in an accident and was in a wheel chair. If you want to truly see the sights and have an expert hand guiding the way, she is the best.

We had an amazing day touring with Nese she was very good at explaining all the information, giving tips, and also very friendly and easy to talk to. I hope we can tour with her again!!

It has been an adventure of a lifetime. I started my trip in Istanbul and met my first guide Nessa. She was wonderful! We began as strangers and parted as friends. She took me to all of the cities highlights Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and to Asia. Her explanations were interesting and informative. I felt at home in her very capable hands. She was flexible and took me to other places that I requested to see. My glasses broke and she went to three different opticians trying and succeeding in getting them fixed. The restaurants she choose were excellent. Smart Turkey Tours we’re wonderful. They took care of all of my needs and provided skilled guides. They helped navigate all of the hurdles of travel during COVID. The hotels that they booked were lovely. The Turkish people were so kind and helpful. I never felt afraid during my journey. Come to the beautiful country of Turkey.

Nese Yanik is an outstanding licensed private tour guide when in Istanbul. She is personable, empathetic, a perfectionist in fulfilling her client’s expectations. We hired her for a 7 day period to tour all over Istanbul and it was a superb experience. Not only is she expert on all the various tourist sites but she knows her stuff when it comes to shopping, food and transportation. She looked after us like a “Jewish” mother continuously concerned with our comfort and welfare. Istanbul is an intense, very busy place and we were greatful to have found the best that there is when it comes to hiring a private guide.

I went for this tour about two weeks ago (early October 2019) along with my parents. We had a delightful time in Turkey. Nessa specifically was wonderful as she made our trip to Istanbul a memorable one. She was very informative, approachable, warm and fun! Nese is nothing short of spectacular. We only had 1 day in Istanbul as part of a layover and she maximized every minute of our time. We got to see all the top sights while learning immense detail and history. There is truly no better way to explore a new city. A day with Nese is something you will never forget.

Nese is an incredible guide and person. We had her for two days in our visit to Istanbul, she is very knowledgeable and knows every detail. Her time management is fantastic and we didn’t even have to wait in line; no time wasting and a lot of sightseeing. She gave us great recommendations, always taking care of everyone in the group. Very punctual and attentive making sure we have everything, that we see all the important things, her English is also great which made everything very easy to understand. I would recommend her no doubt!

Nese delivered everything and more in terms of guiding us around tourist attractions and giving us a taste of everyday Istanbul. We had limited time and thanks to Nese we made the most of it. Nese is knowledgable and fun and we managed to fit in carpet buying, a trip to the barber for my husband, a fabulous tour of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia followed by a fabulous lunch at a Turkish restaurant we never would have found, a fast trip around the Grand Bazaar followed by a hamman at an ancient bathhouse in the city. We met a guide and left with a new friend who we would highly recommend.

We were a family of 5 with 3 teens ages 14,16 and 18. We booked Nese for a private family tour of Istanbul for the day. We were so incredibly delighted by her wealth of knowledge and genuine interest in the city and its culture. We were able to NOT wait on any long lines to gain immediate entrance to all the main sights. Nese customized a tour to our families needs and was EXTREMELY patient and attentive to all of our various requests . I would highly recommend booking a tour with her you will not be disappointed because her knowledge and understanding of the history of Istanbul is incredible and we were amazed by all of her expertise and found her to be a true gem !!!
