    Great intro to Istanbul gastronomy. Must do if you are foodie
    Perfect balance of food tasting, gastronomy tips and local history. Very easygoing and relaxed guide who is ready to answer any questions you have. Definitely recommend - well spent 4 hours and well worth the money.

    Great food + a tour of the area!
    Didem was amazing! My friends and I did the "Local Food and History Walk at Night, " which was a highlight of our trip to Istanbul. We tried food we would have never come across by ourselves, explored the Karakoy and Beyoglu area, and Didem even gave us recommendations for more restaurants to visit during our trip. Highly recommended!

    Great experience!
    Today I really enjoyed the Street Art Tour in the Asian side of Istanbul. The guide Didem and the graffiti I saw were amazing! Thanks to this tour I experienced something unique and far from the typical tourist destinations of the city. The food, the neighborhood and the guided path were simply perfect! Thank you :)

    Interesting, educational and delicious
    We booked this walking food tour as we both like to walk and are avid foodies. A very good choice this turned out to be. We got to see food markets, taste a variety of snacks, pastries, kebabs and desserts. Our guide, Ezgi was sociable, knowledgeable and gave us very good restaurant tips. A must do in Istanbul.

Excellent experience
Great tour!! We had an amazing time. Our tour guide has great taste in food and shares all his knowledge of Istanbul as well as local’s lifestyle. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about Turkish food and history. Be sure to bring a healthy appetite)!

Highly recommended - definitely a must do in Istanbul

Loved my tour with Didem - she went above and beyond with the service and really catering the tastes of our group since we were a little more adventurous.

I did the evening tour and couldn't recommend it enough. We visited some fish shop, tasted some baklava, tried some turkish coffee, tasted Lahana Sarmasi as well as tried some mussels stuffed with rice and finished off with some quince dessert.

I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend anyone interested in tasting the variety of Turkish food available in Istanbul to do this tour.

A wonderful way to be introduced to Istanbul

My favorite part of the tour was being with a local who knows the city, food and culture. Elif added even more being an architect and helping us understand the buildings where we were enjoying the delicious, fresh and authentic cuisine.
I highly recommend this tour when visiting Istanbul.

Highlight of our trip

Our host was Didem who was wonderful, warm, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. There was a wide variety of food to eat at lovely restaurants which we would never have discovered if we had not been in this tour. The meetup was easy and Didem told great stories about Turkish culture that went with the food. Thanks for everything!

Very good sampling of Istanbul food

The food tastings were varied and interesting. Didem was very personable and answered all our diverse questions with patience and good humor. I would have enjoyed more history and more hidden places, and it would be a great bonus to get a map showing where we walked and the places where we ate.

Be very hungry when you take this tour. It was not just sample-sized portions. We ate a lot of food! And it was all delicious!

Great combination of food and history

This was my first ever food tour and I absolutely loved it. I learned so much about Turkish food as well as the history and culture of the city. Didem was a funny and friendly guide! Highly recommend this tour if you want to understand the soul of Istanbul!

Fantastic Tour

My husband and I had a wonderful tour with Elif. She brought us to places we would never have found on our own. We were fortunate to be the only ones on the tour which allowed us to explore organically between stops. Elif took notes of our questions and sent us detailed info with a recap of all the places we visited. Super impressed. Highly recommend. This is much more than a food tour and a great way to learn about Istanbul.

Beyond expectations! Incredible experience

This was a spectacular experience filled with information and delicious delights on every corner. Didem’s passion and knowledge of the food, the history and the culture made it a riveting tour that filled the senses in every way. The food choices were outstanding and I would never have found anything like that on my own. One of the best food experiences I have had while traveling. I highly recommend it.

Great evening
We did the evening food tour with Elif. She was a wonderful host and we had so much fun trying new foods that we hadn’t tasted yet…even after traveling in Turkey for 4 weeks. We learned lots of interesting tidbits of info that helped make Istanbul and Turkey come alive. Thanks Elif.

Must do when you are in Istanbul!
Today we went on an amazing 4 hour foodtour through Istanbul with our guide Didem. We loved all the places we visited, the food was delicious and Didem provided us with all kind of intresting information about Istanbul and Turkey in general. She also was an awesome and sweet guide! Thank you so much! Really recommendable!
