Both a guide from the agency and an audio guide were included. The palace is stunning! The tour took us through the whole place. It was great that we got to skip the line and go straight into the palace. The only problem I could point out is that at the end of the tour the group broke up and lost the guide.

The tour was well organised, it is very mid 18th century architecture, furniture etc, as influences from around Europe are used. One could be in France or Italy. A lot of walking, it is a massive place, for those with mobility issues, allow another hour (it took us 2 from start to finish) and there are a lot of stairs! Nice gardens and places to drink before and after, close to tram stop. We had a personal tour, which gave us more insight into the family history . . . No interior photos allowed.

I can't give an honest rating. I showed up at the palace a little early to get situated. The ticket was invalid and I couldn't trade it in for entry. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is that someone contacted me after I'd already been there over an hour saying they were waiting.

IT IS EASIER TO BOOK DOLMABAHCE DIRECTLY AT THE GATE. Cost 120tl for EVERYTHING. Don't waste time booking this. The audioguides are FREE and thorough.

Istanbul Tourism Pass provides an effective way to navigate and enjoy the enormity of Istanbul. Being English speaking and of Ireland origin, securing an introduction to the wealth of historic and leisure attractions here was paramount.
Full marks to this company for the its three day wallet - or book your own choice of days and inclusions.
Bear in mind you can't walk into ticketed attractions with this Tourism Pass; you join the guided party 10mins in advance of start time, for your preferred language.

Inkla was our guide for Dolmabahce Palace and she was informed and friendly. Mehmed took us through Toplaki Palace and grounds, advising us to leave aside half a day for this incredible campus. His tips on managing public transport held up: get an IstanbulKartte loaded with 100lire and travel 8 turnstile clicks there after. You are clocked on entry to a metro or tram station, not the duration of the journey in a city where an estimated 22mn live.

Most fun of all was the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise Tour with three course meal and festive dancing in traditional dress. Yes, this lengthy night exotica was wonderful, organised with partner Pereme Tours. Warmly recommended.

Mosques, bazaars and some museums offer free entrance but Istanbul Tourism Pass enables you to skip the lengthy queues for the many, many places of interest and delight.

You have to limit the number of people in the tour. With larger numbers this was not @ no wait in line” the normal line moved much faster than this big group. We had to wait along time for everyone to gather and get their listening devices and get in. I will never do this again.

Hi Shiva, sorry to hear that you were not happy with the tour. The skip the line is only for ticket and waiting in the security line is mandatory for all the visitors. We care deeply about our experiences and we would like to make sure that your concern is addressed to your satisfaction.

Fabulous city; warm, kind and generous people:great public transport and plenty to see. Excellent shopping but try avoiding the Bazar! Research well your accommodation before booking and be kind to those less fortunate than you.
A great city of the world that should be on the Bucket List!

The tour was around 1 hour.
The guide was big disappointment, zero explanation and zero knowledge on the heritage and history behind the palace.
The palace itself is very fancy reflecting the wealth of Ottoman Empire. Breathtaking view and architecture.

Good news is they refunded... bad news is my precious time got wasted. Book this tour and wait for an hour for the guide if you want to waste your time, too.

We booked this tour as a way to avoid long queues to get in and also have some explanation.
What a waste. I don’t have a problem with the palace it was spectacular. But the tour is another matter.
Guide didn’t leave at the specified time as he was waiting for potential other people. We ended up with a group of 41!
You have to use audio guides in the palace. Guides don’t actually speak to you as they don’t want the place to get noisy.
It took ages to get Audio guides as you need id or money to secure them on loan. Every person needs official id. Even children or you have to pay 100eur or 200tl each if you don’t have id
The guide lead us in and then disappeared.
The time it took to actually get in we could have queued and saved money on the guide with the use of audio.

Frankly I couldn’t know where the meeting point is, but as I was searching for it, I was able to skip the whole line! It’s true I paid for a second ticket but having paid for “Skip the line”, I feel my conscience clear :)
