    Wonderful
Amazing history in Turkey. Incredible ancient sites. Loved the interactive museum at Ephesus. As well as the landscape at the beautiful travertine pools in Pamukkale. Only downside to Pamukkale was the crowds and disrespectful Asians. Our guide Okmen was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating

Excellent detailed historical tour featuring out of the way sites from a very knowledgeable guide with perfect English
I was slightly wary of booking this as it was quite expensive, however, I thought that it was well worth the money. Eve, was a very knowledgeable guide who is studying for a masters in the history of Istanbul. She was very engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the subject matter. It was just the three of us on the tour. We toured sites in the basements of hotels and shops that we would never otherwise have found and a mosaic museum that, again, I don't think we would have found without the tour. We had very detailed conversations around the subject of Rome and the history of Istanbul and went off on many tangents. Eve was happy that we had conversations rather than just lecturing us. I would recommend the tour to those who love history. The tour is 4 hours long and so your teens have to be quite committed. I recommend Ece as a guide; she really engaged with the boys (noticed that the youngest was struggling) and really knew her stuff. We all enjoyed our morning and learned a lot.

    a lovely day
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgable... a true queen! Her sister is an archaeologist, and I'm sure she would be proud of this tour, as it clearly runs in the family. Thousands of years of history covered across several empires.

I booked a tour in Kapadokkia, everything was perfect; they are flexible and very reactive. All went on very well.

Besides the fact that Istanbul is one of my favourite, most beautiful cities in the world, I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip.

    Istanbul uncovered
I've been coming to Istanbul for some 40 years and took the history for granted as I'm not one for spending hours looking at every artefact. But this tour was an eye opener, explaining the back story of this amazing city's history. Istanbul - Nova Roma!

    Ephesus Tour
Selcuk Ephesus Tour was an excellent way to go for older adults! We had a great tour guide who really took care of his customers. Our group enjoyed one another and the tour even included an excellent lunch before going on . It was hot but we didn't have to do a lot of climbing and the distance walked was just right. The ruins were unimaginable...a walk into time long ago. The guide gave us historic information that made the ruins reflect the time and understanding of how they lived. Selcuk, where we stayed, was a wonderful moderate city, and staying close to the center of the city square made it enchanting. We stayed at the Selena Hotel which even offered breakfast in the morning and was totally affordable. People were friendly everywhere we went.

    Under the beaten track
Ece was a greatly knowledgeable and personable guide. She laughed a lot. My teenager really enjoyed her while listening to all the history. It was fun going to shops and hotels to see Roman foundations and mosaics. We loved the panoramic view at seven hills where we stopped for coffee. The cistern with the art exhbit was a special treat. .

Great tour, excellent guide. Ece is a gem.
We did this tour on March 2019, me and my wife. Our guide was Ece. She is an excellent guide, though her job was helped by the subject, fascinating Istanbul. If you are interested in history, you want to do this tour, with Ece.

Outstanding day with flexible and knowledgeable guide
My teenaged daughter and I booked a half day tour around the historic sites near the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We both have experience with guides while traveling and our day with Experta tours was certainly the best! Our guide Ece was phenomenal. She was filled with detailed knowledge of all the historic, and even modern sites in the area. She was very flexible and happy to linger and discuss every detail, or just give us an overview and move on. Ece not only was a wealth of information regarding specific dates and historical figures, but was eager to share Turkish customs and fun traditions with us as we made our way through the sites or stoped to have coffee and paused to enjoy the scenery. She patiently answered all of my random questions, many having nothing to do with the sites we were visiting. Ece even took the time to help me plan other activities well outside the scope of a guided tour, complete with detailed written directions and metro information. Most importantly she genuinely made us feel welcome and her personality encouraged us to have fun and enjoy whatever we were doing. A little bit of rain? A mosque not open yet? No big deal, just a reason to go see something else beautiful and fascinating first. A truly naturally gifted guide! I cannot recommend this amazing service enough! Thank you Ece and Erkan for providing us with an unforgettable experience!!

Erkan - A Fantastic Guide in Istanbul
We spent two days on a private tour of Istanbul with Erkan and couldn’t have been more delighted with the depth of insight and knowledge, the great sense of humour and the faultless professionalism displayed by him through out. He certainly made our visit really interesting and as comprehensive as possible. Thank you so much.

    Very interesting
This is a very good tour to gain an understanding of the Byzantine/Roman history of the city and to gain an orientation and overview of the main sites of the old part of the City. Our guide, Ece, was excellent, very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about the history of Istanbul and she made it a really enjoyable and worthwhile tour. By the end of tour it was like being guided by an old friend and we certainly felt we had learnt a lot about the history of Istanbul and also a little bit about Turkish Society as well. The tour included visits to lots of Byzantine/Roman remains in various cellars and basements, including viewing some great mosaics. Some of which you would not normally find yourself without a local guide The highlight of the tour were the Byzantine cisterns that we visited. The tour was quite flexible and well paced, Ece did her very best gear the tour to our particular interests, giving us plenty of time at each site to take photos, as well as breaks in a café for coffee and lunch in a local restaurant. Would highly recommend this tour as something a little different from the other walking tours of the old City.

Excellent tour with a great tour guide!
I've participated a one-day tour of Experta which started from Kariye Museum and ended at Ecumenical Orthodox Patriarchate district. Our tour guide Erkan has a great historical background about the ancient Byzantine Empire and today's İstanbul. He also has lots of remarkable tales and ancient myths to share with you between two spots during the tour, so that you never lose your attention and curiosity about what's waiting for you at the next spot:)) If you're plannig to visit İstanbul, I'd definitely recommend you to get in contact with Erkan!!
