A great tour for Australians, Kiwis and WWI history buffs.
The tour included transfer to and from Istanbul on a comfortable late model mini-bus. We were picked up 5 mins walk from our hotel in the morning and driven south to the Gallipoli site. After an excellent lunch we started the tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate and had a good sense of humour. The tour was enlightening, the failed attack on Gallipoli is commemorated in Australia every year, so the site is important to our country. Seeing the key sites, the topography and the scenery made it very real for my family and I. Moreover, we have a much greater understanding of the importance of the campaign for the people of Turkey, and the bond that it creates between the countries that fought on both sides. The independent identities of the Turkish and Australian nations are rooted here. The tour was smoothly run, all staff were courteous and helpful, thoroughly recommended.

      A walk through history
How brilliant to be able to see and walk through 5000 years of history. The walls date back to 3000 BC and there was evidence even of the settlement that predated the walls. The guide at Troy itself was knowledgeable and entertaining, answering all questions in an engaging manner.

      Gallipoli in a snapshot.
Well worth the pilgrimage. The tour covered Anzac Cove , Lone Pine Memorial , trenches and other points of interest . Guide was very good and lunch hit the spot.

Excellent tour and a must site to visit.
Had an amazing day out to visit the Gallipoli Peninsular. It snowed on our way from Istanbul, which was quite exciting to experience. Our guide, Chagri, was excellent and well spoken in his knowledge of the Gallipoli Campaign and the history leading up to it. It was an excellent tour , but a sad reminder of all soldiers who fought on both sides and never made it home. Well worth making time to visit such a historical site.

Best Tour Oufit I have Used
I booked 3 day tour to Gallipoli and Troy with 2 nights in Canakkale. The Trust and organisation was excellent. I can't recommend Ramazan (Manager) enough him and his team went put of there way to give me a brilliant experience visiting my Great Grandfathers resting place I'm South Gallopli. Communication via email from Ireland to Istanbul was excellent with Ramazan who helped me design my own tour to suit my needs. He even let me pay after collect in Istanbul at his office in Canakkale. Josh the driver i had for the first day was a good humoured man and I liked him instantly and he was very genuine. Ibra who was my guide to Helles and Anzac was a nice interesting guy who collected me on his way to work for my tour. He was very informative and good company. Finally, a very rewarding experience with genuine people I cannot thank them enough. Don't hesitate to book!!!

Gallipoli lead to the downfall of the Ottoman Empire and the founding of the Turkish Republic
After crossing the Dardanelles, we went to Gallipoli, one of the most famous and tragic WWI battles that lasted a year. War memorials exist everywhere across the site that's now a national park. There are cemeteries holding bodies of the fallen on both sides. The natural beauty of the green hills and wave crested waters is in stark contrast to events that occurred over a century ago and lead to the founding of the Turkish republic in 1923.

Excellent Gallipoli tour by a knowledgeable, helpful and engaging guide.
Exceptionally excellent full day tour by Ibo (Ibrahim). We were expertly guided across all the major sites of the Gallipoli peninsula. Ibo gave us thoughtful, knowledgeable and interesting guiding of the Ottoman defenses of the Dardenelles, the British landings, the moving memorials and cemeteries, and of course the battles around ANZAC cove, Lone Pine, the remaining trenches , and the Turkish counteroffensive. You could not find a better guide. (Ibo even helped me at a pharmacy when I became unwell on the tour.).

You really can do a wonderful Gallipoli tour in a day - from Istanbul
This was a great tour! The guide was so knowledgeable and I learned so much. It's interesting to hear the Turkish perspective too. For a tour where so much is driving, it is just the right amount and you really do get to go to the main sites without being too rushed. The peninsula is a beautiful and peaceful park.

      Gallipoli and Troy adventure
Our trip was very easy to organise, pick up was a little vague as we were staying outside of Sultanahmet but turned out ok. After that everything ran very smooth and well organised. The staff were very accommodating and organised our drop back to our hotel seeing it was late at night and only a little out of the way. Very thankful and happy

      Gallipoli tour
The weather was wet and windy but we had a memorable visit to Gallipoli with our guide Ibrahim. He and our driver were extremely accommodating. Being the only two on the tour that day we added a visit to the gravesites of our own Newfoundlanders plus the caribou statue dedicated to them. We are moved and extremely grateful for the opportunity. We will always remember the kindness of Ibrahim and our driver. We also discovered the Turkish side of Gallipoli, Ataturk and the losses on all sides. It made us realize nobody wins in war and only increased our respect of the Turkish people. The transportation was great. We ate a wonderful meal at a small waterfront restaurant in Gallipoli. All excellent but the highlight being the visit to our Newfoundland countrymen. Thank you Crowded House!!

Ephesus! Greatness… with an awesome guide!
This tour was in Spanish to Ephesus. On Dec 1st. Our guide is a Turkish man with excellent Spanish (Augusto?). He was remarkable. He and his team picked us in our hotel, and he immediately established a connection with us. He was super knowledgeable and truthful, and talked to us about the sites that we visited with authority. One of our best tours to an awesome place!

      Canakkale Gallipoli day tour
Great tour! Our guide Charlie was full of knowledge, and captured our attention perfectly. We visited many places in one day, at the expense of not spending a large amount of time at any one particular place. Which allowed us to gain a wide perspective on the battles and history that took place here, from both sides who fought. We feel that we learned a lot, and had a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!!!

All parts of this tour was terrific. Ibrahim showed us Troy and Pergamon. He had an extensive knowledge, understood our needs and kept us engaged on a very hot day! He is also great to chat with. Charlie took us around Gallipoli. He was able to answer many questions and had a meaningful way of telling stories from both ANZACs and the Turkish.

Our entire tour was fabulous, the pick ups and transfers all worked without a hitch, the hotels were decent (one average one, but mostly great) and the food was organised well too. We met some great people and the sights were beyond wonderful. Ephesus and Pergamum were absolute highlights in terms of photography and ancient ruins, but Troy's tour guide (Mufasa) made that tour really memorable as he lives and breaths Troy. In saying that, our Ephesus tour guide was incredible also, allowed us to take photos without rushing and told some excellent stories. Gallipoli, as an Australian, was very impactful and I'm so glad we got to experience the whole space.

The touring was great. Fantastic destinations with a very knowledgeable guide and punctual driver. Easy-going crew but you can tell they are a well-oiled operation.
In fact, Ramazan (Crowded House’s manager) ended up helping us with not only Çanakkale tours, but also utilized his contacts to help us out in both Cappadocia and Istanbul. He provided a driver from the Istanbul airport and tracked our flight delays, so the driver was there waiting for us when we landed late. Ramazan was also very patient with all my questions about dates and times and in-country flights. He is awesome and is now a trusted friend. Crowded House executed everything perfectly (and at a very reasonable price).

We enjoyed our tour very much. The company is very organized and on-time. For our tour we started from Kusadasi and ended in Istanbul. All the tour guides were very helpful and informative. We especially enjoyed Sukru’s vibrant personality and Hassan’s passion for history. I would definitely recommend them for future tours!

Crowded House Tours was exceptional. We did the two day Gallipoli and Troy tour. Everything was so good we booked two more tours with them and a private car to Bodrum. The guides were highly informed the vans were clean and safe, the drivers were incredible and every lunch we had was delicious. We ate vegetarian food and it was never a problem. The organisation for all the different tours pick ups drop offs different language guides was like a well oiled machine. This company made our holiday wonderful. We never had to worry or miss anything. Value for money and highly recommend. Would use them again without hesitation.

Really loved my 2 days on the Tour with Crowded House!
The first tour started from Istanbul and we drove to the Gallipoli Peninsular with our guide Bulent. We drove around all the places of interest from the First World War which involved the Anzacs. Stopping at each and a really detailed explanation of what happened there, old pictures and stories. Bulent was a brilliant guide!!! I stayed the night in a hotel in Eceabat which was really lovely. I had free time to explore the town.
The next morning I was escorted to the ferry across the road from the hotel, and on the other side a representative from Crowded House was waiting. I was then with a guide called Sukru all day for the Troy and Akropolis Tour. Ramazan who owns the company was with us all day, both guys were really good company, very informative and knowledgeable about the sights they took me to see.
I had a great few days with Croweded house and would urge you to book their tours!!
    Enjoy!!!

We had a great trip from Istanbul to Gallipolli, Troy and Pergamon. Two long but very interesting days. The mini bus was comfortable and air conditioned. The guide was knowledgeable and did some hard driving for us. The Gallipolli beaches and cemeteries were poignant and moving but ultimately highly interesting. The visit to Troy was a dream of mine and though it bears no resemblance to the might city of Homer's epic poem, you can imagine a rich city state being located there. Pergamon is a proper hilltop city with an amazingly steep Greek theatre built on a cliffside. Fascinating history. We all really enjoyed our trip and the hotel at Cannakale was excellent even if we had trouble finding a decent restaurant. A lunch outside Pergamon in a carpet co-operative was very tasty and the look around the manufacturing was fun. A long drive home to Istanbul through Anatolia with all of us nodding off (except our guide/driver). The great thing was that we arrived in Istanbul to find little or no traffic. Very odd, but much welcomed. We would highly recommend the trip and the company sorted everything out perfectly.

We did the Troy tour in the afternoon after arriving from Istanbul. Was a veryfascinating tour. Next day a morning tour of the Cape Helles with only the 3 of us on the tour. Bulent bought the scene alive with all his knowledge. Lunch at Eceabat and an afternoon tour with others to Anzac cove and Lone Pine to name a few. Next day a private tour with our 3 back to Anzac but this time a more in depth look at the different battles and walk the rough terrain that the diggers did all those years ago. Climbed to Plugges plateau,Quinn’s Post and visited the site of the Nek battle. I have read a number of books on Gallipoli, but to visit the place and see what the troops had to put up with was fantastic. Bulent was full of knowledge and any questions we asked he had a complete answer for us. If you are planning a trip to the battlefields, make sure it’s with Crowded House tours and ask for Bulent or “Bullant” as he is known. Loved every minute.
