    Very knowledgeable guide!
Hasan our guide was very knowledgeable! He made sure we were able to see and understand all elements of the history of Gallipoli. We enjoyed the efficiency of the tour.

Worth the trip despite some bumps
Our tour guide Charlie brought Gallipoli to life for us. He was knowledgeable, intelligent, and very warm. Without him, I would give the tour a lower rating for sure. But Charlie saved the day! We could have listened to him all afternoon and were impressed by how well organized he was in presenting a lot of information at many different stops. However just about everyone else left us confused. We—and this includes others on the trip that commiserated with us—didn’t know where we going or when until we got on the actual tour bus. We stopped for breakfast at a gas station (and you can often find good food at gas stations) and it was pretty disgusting, as was dinner at the Shell station on the way back. The included lunch was cold French fries, cold rice, 2 tiny overcooked meatballs, and a skewer of tasteless chicken. It’s hard to believe this organization can’t find better food for its guests. All of that said, I’d do it again. Seeing and learning about Gallipoli was an unforgettable experience.

    A must do
An excellent tour ( albeit a long day with pick up at 6:15 am and return about 10pm). Drivers were excellent. The tour itself was awesome , with our guide ( Burak) a great combination of humour and knowledge) and incredibly respectful of the area and the events. Highly recommended. The only downside were the meals. Lunch is provided in the tour price, but was very dry and no-one on our tour ate it all. Breakfast and dinner stops were an extra cost, with the drivers stopping at petrol stations with small cafeterias attached. Food selection extremely limited and the food was a fail. But minor issues relative to the Gallipoli experience.

Crowded House's Gallipoli Tour is Simply the Best
From meeting with Crowded House Tour's Haji to the bus dropping us back at our hotel post Gallipoli tour, we were impressed with their personable staff, organization, and quality of the tour experience. Our guide, Burak, was simply an outstanding historian who intrigued us with his knowledge, humor, passion and dedication to doing what he loves. This Crowded House Gallipoli tour was a highlight of our time in Istanbul. Thank you Burak!

    Trip to Gallipoli
Hi my husband and I are from NZ and we stayed at the Gallipoli houses who organised a private tour with crowded house tours, our delightful and very well informed guide Ibrahim was fantastic . His English was great and his knowledge of both sides of the Gallipoli campaign was outstanding, he is a young man who is very passionate about his country. Make sure you ask for him to do your private tour as you won’t be disappointed.

    Amazing trip
Excellent tour, very very happy with how the logistics where handled leading up to and during the tour. No hassle with hotel pick up or drop off, breakfast lunch and dinner was very nice, kept quick so not to reduce your time seeing Troy. The tour of the ancient city was amazing, our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the historical importance of the 9 cities of Troy, he had a wonderful sense of humour, even sorted out 3 non English speaking ladies on the tour with an audio guide to help them. He pointed out the tomb of Achilles which you would have missed so easily if you did t know it was out there. One improvement, would like to have had more time to see Troy, 2 hrs was fine but to wander a bit more around the area would have been nice. But as I said an amazing day trip from Istanbul.

    Brilliant!
Great value for money, the tour was also very well organised. Burak was an amazing tour guide, he was extremely knowledgable whilst also being engaging and entertaining to listen to. As a New Zealander it has made me appreciate and understand Anzac Day a lot more, the trip to Gallipoli will be an experience that will really stick with me. This was aided by the amazing experience we had through Crowded House tours. Thank you for the day!

    Memorable day trip to Gallipoli.
Wonderful day trip to Gallipoli. Bhurat, the guide at Gallipoli, was outstanding both in knowledge and in people skills. He tailored his comments to the interests of the group. His understanding of the history and significance of Gallipoli was outstanding. He is a real asset to the company. The only suggestion we have is that it would be wonderful to have something like a prerecorded message or a brochure on the bus ride from Istanbul to Eceabat, so that travellers understand the outline for the day. All in all, we highly recommend this trip.

    Excellent tour!
We loved our Gallipoli and Troy tour with Crowded House. It was a very emotional day seeing Gallipoli but our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. He was also very passionate and personable. Our Troy tour was fantastic with another very knowledgeable guide. Crowded House were amazing at organising everything and even bringing the bag we forgot (twice) back to our hotel. Highly recommended for those wanting to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in Turkey and for history buffs.

After three years waiting my Mother and I finally made it to Turkey (thanks to Covid)
Crowded House couldn't have been more helpful.
Ramazan, the manager arranged for us to visit a particular war cemetery that is not on the usual itinerary in search of a relative's grave.
We visited the Gallipoli WW1 sites with Hasan, who was incredibly knowledgeable and really cared about telling the whole story, making sure that we knew our relative's story, wherever possible.
We visited Troy with Baruck, who brought the whole place to life, and was very good humoured throughout the trip!
Our boat trip to the landing beaches was on a smaller boat than we expected, but was an unforgettable experience.
Safe, calm professional drivers in very comfortable minibuses.
Worth every penny and highly recommended

Can’t recommend these guys enough. Fantastic in every aspect, from initial contact and booking, through to the tour itself. They collected me from my Istanbul hotel on time & the bus was clean and comfortable. Lunch provided at a restaurant near their office in Eceabat was tasty. And their guides were fantastic; knowledgeable, friendly and funny, I had several different tours (Troy, ANZAC, Helles sector) with different guides and they were all great, with very good English & and an obvious passion for their subjects. The company was also happy and helpful with customising one of their tours for me and adding a few things to the itinerary, Ramazan the manager especially was very helpful.
Again, highly recommend Crowded House Tours for any tours in the region, and don’t be restricted to the itineraries on their website, my experience shows they’re happy to mix and match or add things in if you want.

The tour of Troy was very good, albeit somewhat shorter than expected. The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable, spoke excellent english, and was quite personable.
The Gallipoli tour was also very good - the tour guide, Burak, was exceptional and extremely knowledgeable about the Gallipoli campaign. I would do this tour again and would also recommend to a friend.
I would caution doing the one day trip because it seems like quite a lot of time in a bus to and from Istanbul for such a short tour.

If you are after an informative day filled with history, humour and a humbling feeling of ANZAC patriotism then this is a the tour for you. Our guide Burak lives and breaths ANZAC, his passion is evident as soon as you board the bus and he has a unique ability to teach you so much in the short space of time. Highly recommend the snorkelling over sunken war ship Milo too as the view from the water back up to ANZAC cove gives a whole other perspective and you have the cove to yourself, thank to our taxi driver Murat. Ramazan was outstanding with the whole research, booking and execution of the tour. Thanks Crowded House, this was such a special journey.

Thank You so much to Ramazan and all of your staff/guides for making my 50th Birthday all it could be. Your communication is first rate and we began to feel excited about our trip a few months out when your first response to my initial email was so detailed and came so quickly. This communication was not a once off. The surprise birthday cake and help with a slight variance to a normal tour was very much appreciated. The expertise and warmth of Anul (hope spelt correctly) when we visited Helles was superb. He is a great asset to your business and his new car was sparkling. Of 45 countries visited, the 2 days we were in your care are 2 of the best travel days we have ever experienced. First day home I had a crack at making Lentil Soup :). Thanks again and we will be sure to guide friends & family your way at any opportunity we have. You have a great business and we wish you all the very best in the future. Lest We Forget. This was a fantastic side trip. I arrived in the early hours of the day the trip was to commence. I was concerned as I had not reconfirmed, but they turned up on time and ready for me to climb aboard. It is a 4 hour trip Eceabat near Gallipoli, but in the early hours Istanbul is soon left behnd. They stop halfway for a breakfast break. You pay this yourself. Biggest challenge is working out how to eat Turkish food. The bus is new and very comfortable. When you arrive at Crowded House main office in Eceabat you are greater by a very organised woman who speaks good English and lets you know what’s happening for the day. You commence with a nice lunch around 1:00 pm. After this you head to Gallipoli and you are provided with an excellent Guide, Burak. Although I have read a fair bit of Gallipoli material, nothing beats being there and the Guide also provides evidence that some of the ideas about the landing are not substantiated by fact. The tour is well balanced and comprehensive from an Australian and New Zealand perspective. You return to Eceabat about 5:30 pm a tad tired. You look after your own evening meal and I was over nighted in the Crowded House Hotel. This is quite adequate, except it would be worth taking the ferry across to the other side Cannukule, which is a much larger and more dynamic area for the evening. The next morning a Turkish breakfest is provided, I was still trying to work out how to make it work. You have free time until 12:00 pm and then you have a supplied lunch at around 1:00 pm, same as the day before. Then the ferry across to Asia to experience an informative and interesting tour of Troy. The bus heads back to Istanbul around 5:30 pm and stopping halfway at a different location for dinner, you buy this yourself. The drive is long but you do have an added bonus of seeing some beautiful countryside. I was very surprised to find out that much of the Gallipoli area is wonderful fertile farmland. The roads you travel on are very safe and expressway standard. I did this side trip by myself and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who has two days to spare. Some do as a day trip, but this would be very tiring as you are looking at 8 plus hours of driving or being driven. My only suggested improvements would be to provide the option or encouragement to visit Çanakkale on the other side of the Dardanelles, if not to sleep but in the morning before you meet for the Troy tour. Also a quick briefing on how to arrange Turkish food for breakfast would be helpful.
