- robbieharper600Chur broVery good service, efficient, nice people. Great tour guide Burak! Drivers were good and lunch was nice. Cheers from NZ
- adamsG5541LL00Excellent planning of a 3 week trip to Turkey by Crowded HouseI took Crowded House's excellent Gallipoli tours in 2019 and last year and was very impressed with the office staff who I met on those tours. This year I used Crowded House Tours to plan a 3 week tour that included Canakkale, Bursa, Ankara, Konya, Antalya and Istanbul. Normally I would do all the planning and bookings myself but this time I had the faith in the professionalism of Ramazan and his team to let them plan my whole itinerary, hotels and transfers as well as book several private guides for individual tours of Ottoman sites in Bursa, Hattusa and Konya. I was not disappointed as my hotels were very good and to the standard I had specified, my transport to and from my hotel were punctual, there were no issues with the ticketing of the buses, train and plane that were booked for me and the private guides that were chosen for me were experts in their field and very obliging with their time and hence I felt I got a real bargain by choosing a private tour over a group tour because I was able to concentrate solely on my own interests. Some changes in my itinerary were handled promptly and without fuss and I had the extra security of having a contact number for any emergency. I hope one day to visit Eastern Turkey and I will immediately contact Ramazan and crew to plan that trip without any hesitation. Adam Santilli.
- alexpG3525XY00Anzac Gallipoli TourThe tour was extremely humbling and the delivery from the tour guide Burak was brilliant. Burak was really good at making the people on the tour feel comfortable with each other and you will be lucky to have him as your tour guide.
- magmur00Great tour, absolutely recommendedfantastic tour, pick up on time, a great guide Mr. Burak, great knowledge and very funny absulutely recommended
- Isaac L00Highly recommend- Full day Ephesus tour from IstanbulI did the full day tour of Ephesus and the Virgin Mary House from Istanbul, which isn't listed on Tripadvisor but is on other tourist apps. I can't recommend it enough. The agency took care of booking my flights, so I had a stress-free start to the tour. In Istanbul and Izmir, the buses were punctual, clean, comfortable, and air conditioned. The tour itself was wonderful. The Virgin Mary house was underwhelming, but I appreciated my guide's (Ozzy) background on the house. Ozzy was also very knowledgeable about Ephesus from the ancient through modern periods. As a professional archaeologist, it is very important to me that information abour historical sites is conveyes accurately. Ozzy did a great job with this. He also warned us of scams around the archaeological park. Lunch was good. The only thing I didn't enjoy was our unplanned stop at a leather store, where the staff was very persistent that we buy stuff, even after members of the tour said no multiple times.
- Isaac L00Highly recommend; great tour and respectable businessAwesome. Everyone from Crowded House was kind and accommodating. The bus was clean, cool, and comfortable. I really appreciated the USB charging ports. Lunch in Eceabat was delicious. Our time at Troy was a little shorter than I would have likes, especially after such a long drive, but, overall, it was great. I'm a professional archaeologist, so I'm always interested to see what kind of information is going to be conveyed by the tour guide. I was particularly concerned about misinformation on this tour, since it's Troy. But our guide was wonderful and was a former volunteer on Trojan excavations. He conveyed a factual narrative with sound archeaological evidence in a compelling way that complemented story of the Iliad. I highly recommend this tour.
- 16joe12300Gallipoli TourSinan was a great tour guide. Lots of interesting information and comments about everything, would recommend to anybody.
- michaelbL7069YQ00The best tour agency in TurkiyeThese guys go the extra mile. They help is any way possible. It’s just a great experience from start to finish. Will be using again.
- Emily G00Highly recommendedWe thoroughly enjoyed our tour, very informative. The transport was comfortable and the lunch hit the spot. Would recommend crowded house tours
- Peter S00Interesting day at an historic siteHistorically important place. Very good guide on site. Interesting to have seen and experienced it. A long drive back and forth from Istanbul, but bus was comfortable enough.
- emiry80600Amazing tourThank you to crowded house tours very professional and communication was awesome! Our first part of tour was with Burak at Troy, he was very knowledgeable and really fun! Highly recommend him as your guide. The second part of our tour was with Bulent, excellent guide and very informative of gallipoli. He was lovely with our young boys ages 7 and 14 and interacted with them as well, I really cannot fault anything it was a great day and my family really enjoyed it. Thank you Bulent highly recommend as a guide. Great company to book through with no issues at all.
- Luba G00Day trip to TroyFirst for the good and then the bad. If you are a single traveller please read to the end. The tour and the guide were great. Got picked up at my hotel in Istanbul, stopped about 1/2 way for a rest break and some food ( at own expense), then arrived at the destination for lunch, which was really nice. Then went in to Troy and was guided around the site with a brilliant guide, Charlie. So all really good. Then the return trip. This is where it goes really badly. We got back to Istanbul around 9pm, well and truly after dark. Instead of being dropped at my hotel, which is what I paid for, I was dropped at a side street. And just pointed in a general direction. It was my 2nd day in the City so didn’t have a clue. It was dark and I had no idea where I was going & I was alone. I eventually found my way back to my hotel & parts of the walk were in absolute total darkness (no streetlights). It was terrifying. I feel blessed that nothing happened to me. I did complain, but felt brushed off, the operator telling me that they checked google maps and I’d only been dropped off 50 to 100 meters from my hotel. I can’t say how far I’d walked, but it felt like it was more than that, especially in the dark. So please do not book with this operator if you are single and need to be dropped at your hotel door.
- MPR1400Fulfilled a lifelong dream to visit Anzac Cove and Gallipoli.Fulfilled a lifelong wish to visit Anzac Cove and Gallipoli. An excellent tour of Anzac Cove and the surrounding areas of the Gallipoli Peninsula. Real hands-on stuff including visiting the front line trenches. The five hour journey from Istanbul should not be under estimated, but the minibus was new and with efficient aircon in scorching July heat. There were also frequent stops at well equipped motorway service stations. The provided lunch was tasty and a pleasant experience.
- O9922PYgordond00Amazing Gallipoli tour by Crowded House and our guide BurakCrowded house travel company are amazing to deal with. The Gallipoli tour was superb and I would highly recommend it. Burat our guide was informative, knowledgeable and very very very funny. Having done many tours whilst travelling for the past 14 months he was by far the best guide we have had.
- 7jlr00Best Gallipoli TourWe had a fabulous day, and our guide, Charlie was the best. He is knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. He gave an unbiased account of the events that took place on the Gallipoli Peninsula. I would recommend that any Kiwi or Australian visiting Turkey make the trip to Gallipoli.

In 2020 I booked a solo tour with Crowded House and was in regular contact with Razman who was terrific. When Covid hit I had to cancel and was given a full refund. When the borders reopened in March I rebooked and took a three day Gallipoli tour starting in Istanbul.
Every appointment was accurately met, all pick ups, drop offs, escorts guidance and overall communication was excellent. I can’t recommend this tour company more highly. The lady coordinating, Funda was exceptionally efficient and she organised a multi faceted transport arrangement very professionally. All drivers, escorts and guides were fantastic. Hotels etc were also very good.
I might even go there again and explore another part of Turkey. Great value for money.

A tour company with sI was able to go on a tour of Gallipoli and then Troy with this tour group. I was picked up from near my hotel in Istanbul and went for a two day trip, with the first day being Gallipoli and the second day Troy. The guides were superb. Burak in particular told the stories of Gallipoli well and gave a sense of the place, the history, and the aftermath of the battle well. I was very impressed. ome excellent guides

We had a two day trip from Istanbul to Troy and Gallipoli. Picked up at our hotel early in the morning we had a stop off before continuing to our destination where we enjoyed dinner and then we were taken to our tour in Troy. While it was only a two hour tour it was interesting and we did this as Gallipoli was our main interest and we wanted to stay overnight and not have two four bus trips on the one day. Afterwards we were transferred to our hotel in Cannakele for an overnight stay. We spent the morning there before being escorted across the ferry where we had a dinner and on to Gallipoli. It was all we imagined. Our tour guide (sorry I think his name was Bulant) was knowledgeable friendly and informative and made the day most enjoyable. A day to remember. Returned to Istanbul by bus. Ramazan was always on hand to answer any query by email and I would highly recommend Crowded House tours. Thank you

We were picked up in Istanbul at 6.30am, stopping briefly for breakfast, before arriving in Eceabat for lunch. We then did a tour of Ancient Troy. Our guide was very informative and also showed us on the way to our overnight hotel good places to eat dinner.
The following morning was free to wander Cannakale before we were again picked up and taken to lunch before starting our tour of Gallipoli.
Our guide Burak was exceptional and quickly developed a good banter with all of us.
What was most impressive was the effort that Crowded House went to to locate a relative of mine who had died on the peninsula. I sent my relatives name to Ramazan who passed it onto our guide. When we arrived he had printed a photo and 6 pages of military information. He showed me the places he had fought and explained the battles then he took us to his final resting place at Lone Pine. I cannot explain how moving this was. The effort and detail that this tour company went to will never be forgotten. I cannot thank Ramazan and Burak enough.
In addition we also organised a 1/2 day tour of Istanbul. Our guide Hydra was also excellent, very friendly and highly informative.
I cannot recommend Crowded House Tours enough.

We were picked up from our hotel in Istanbul (slightly delayed but wasn’t a problem). Our trip down with our driver Ali was very pleasant. Once we arrived in Ecebat we had a short walk to a fantastic Turkish lunch. It was then off to Gallipoli with our guide Chari who was sensational. He was extremely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job of presenting the facts from both the ANZAC and Turkish perspectives. This tour is a definite must do! We stayed the night at The Kolin in Canakkal after a short ferry ride. This hotel was beautiful and very well located. The next day we were picked up and taken to Troy. Although great to hear the history some parts were closed ( for repairs etc). Our trip back to Istanbul with Ari was again very pleasant.

Really enjoyed the tour to Gallipoli and Troy. Great communication with Crowded House Team prior to booking and thereafter. Comfortable minibus transfer to Eceabat with 2 stops for breakfast etc on the way. Both guides on the tours were excellent and enthusiastic about their subject. They split up the group so that there was only 8 of us on each tour which was great. Overnight stay at hotel Kale 17 in Canakkale was fine- modern and clean. It’s situated in the hub of the town but we did not hear any noise in our room. We had the morning free to explore Canakkale which is a lovely town on the Dardanelles. We are so glad that we took the tour and met some lovely people.

The Gallipoli tour was amazing, and more time should be allowed to enable all of the information to "sink in". The tour guide Charlie was terrific, but a little repetitive.
The overnight accommodation was very basic, A night club next door meant "boom boom" noise to the early hours. The tour of Troy was very interesting, but only took 2 hours. The morning was wasted so this tour should include a visit to the Troy Museum.
Of course the dirty habbit of smoking was terrible in Turkiye and is out of control.
More information about the drive to and from Istanbul would be helpful, regarding stops or no stops.

Dear Ross Doonan
Thank your for your kind review. After giving the information about the sights all of our guides give 10 to 20 mins free time at each point to have a look around then we move to the next stop. Travellers who want to spend more time at the sights usually prefer the private tour options.
We use centrally located hotels for accomodation to give the chance to explore the town easily at their free time. And in Türkiye most of the touristic towns have the noise problem especially during the summer and holiday time.
When you have a look at the itinerary of the tour the information is clear even with the timings. And for the second day we suggest to visit the Naval Museum or Museum of Troy in the itinerary at leisure time. Beside that we also have the 2D/ 1N tour option with the Museum of Troy.
As you mentioned smoking is a habit in Türkiye so it is out of our control 😊
Safe travels

Staff were very helpful throughout the entire booking process and kept me updated at every step which was comforting as a solo traveller speaking English . Ramazan made special arrangements as the tour was already booked for an alternative to meet my requirements. Gallipoli tour was amazing and emotional, the guide Boruk ( borat) had unbelievable depth of knowledge and passion for the Gallipoli event and was extremely friendly. Charlie on Troy tour was similarly knowledgeable and made the whole experience very enjoyable. Well done. Scott

Fantastic tour, Burak our guide was very informative, & also laid back. Not the formal tour guide just reciting facts. Great finding out more in depth knowledge about Gallipoli. His local & insider knowledge & contacts (i.e. mates) meant we got a bit of insider info about the archological digs at Troy too. Although the trip from Istanbul was long, the van was very modern & comfortable. Only negative is the hotel in Canukkale was above a nightclub, so was really noisy till the wee small hours.
Lovely team all round. Thanks to the awesome guide who carried my heavy luggage back to Istanbul too😊

I participated in a 2 day tour which included Gallipoli on the first day plus Troy and Gallipoli boat tour on the second day with overnight stay in Canakkale.
Ramazan was responsive and clear in his communication in the lead up to the tour. Both the driver from Istanbul to Eceabat and return were excellent as were all the staff I dealt with (apologies but I do not recall the name of my guide for the boat tour!) Last but not least was the exceptional tour guide, Boraq, who I was fortunate to have for both Gallipoli and Troy. He was both knowledgeable and humorous which lead to a great experience. Hotel Kale 17 provided an excellent room for my night in Canakkale and it is ideally located.
