Baris was amazing! His passion for his city and its deep historical significance were immediately evident. He promptly met us in the designated location and clearly communicated what to expect for the day. The Blue Mosque was definitely the highlight of our day. The bazaar, the hippodrome cistern, and Hagia Sophia were all connected by the context our tour guide provided. He connected us to some amazing street food, leather goods and Turkish rugs; all authentic. Especially the people. Baris was rich. Definitely hit him up!

This tour is definitely a must go see before it’s too late to fully appreciate the natural beauty and history. Our tour guide Efe and his sidekick driver who’s name I forgot worked well together to bring a great experience. Unbelievable scenery/ruins. Great tour guide with good information & very helpful. The terrace houses were worth the extra time and were great exercise - they are serious about terraces! Wished for hiking poles on the way down.

Ugur is a excellent guide with an outgoing personality and vast knowledge of the sites that we saw (Ephesus and Virgin Mary). He is knowledgeable of all things Turkish and extremely approachable, made us feel quite at ease. Highly recommend him!!

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to book a 6-day tour of Cappadocia, Antalya, Pamukkale, and Ephesus through City of Sultans. Ozgur, the general manager, was incredibly organized and responsive, promptly addressing all my questions and ensuring I had everything I needed well in advance. He provided daily reminders for pick-up times and coordinated all the details seamlessly, including well-chosen hotel accommodations. From the very start Baris had our small group hooked...taking us travelling through time from Nova Roma, constantinople to Istanbul, modern day Turkey as we toured the stadium, Blue Mosque and Haga Sofia. He answered all my teenage son's many questions (history nerd) with respect and intelligence. We could not have had a kinder more thoughtful guide. He even made recommendations afterwards for restaurants etc...

Having been on two previous tours, I expected this one to be similar, where you start and end with the same tour guide and other guests. This was not the case as we had four guides and got to meet a range of people from all over the world. Overall the tour was well organised and the guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the fact we didn’t spend more than 3 hours in the mini-bus as the flights cut down the travelling time. The hotels were centrally located and decent quality. Our only criticisms were the lack of detail in the itinerary and number of activities on each day. Some activities were changed, e.g. the cable car ride in Antalya was changed for a boat ride, and other activities were added without notice, e.g. visit to pottery, silver, stone and Turkish delight factories. We had hoped there would be at least one more activity on each day, as the tour seemed to finish too early on some days. We advise that you have the tour organiser’s WhatsApp contact, to receive boarding passes, confirm your morning pick up times and ask any questions about the tour.

The tour was amazing as well as Ozgur, the organizer, he was always available for all our questions and to ensure daily activities and pick ups. We had different tour guides but they all were great, always punctual and informative, our drivers, though some didn’t speak fluent English they used their phone translator, this was only on airport transfers.

Amazing Tour, Ozgur was a brilliant host and organised everything to precise details and professionalism. He was available 24 hours a day by whatsup and answered all my questions no matter what I asked. The tour ran amazingly smoothly and was an incredible tour of Istanbul and Cappadocia, would highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing this tour. I would use Ozgur and the City of Sultans team again with no hesitation. Thank you Ozgur.

Our guide was Esra, she was fantastic! Light years ahead of your average tour - the culture, the people, the ancient ruins, the coffee!! Esra gave us a day to never forget! We will be back!!!
