Looking for a short getaway in Tajikistan, Sharaf and Faridun organize a 3-day horse-riding trip in the Fann mountains. We drove from Dushanbe to Gazza, where we received a warm welcome from our host family and enjoyed a delicious traditional meal before leaving for the first ride to Voru - a unique village of ancient Sogdians. The next two days, we did full day trips to Khushtarita Valley, passing by Nahang and Soya lake, and to Zumich valley. Needless to say that the landscape was breathtaking! Both horses were extremely sure-footed in the sometimes difficult and steep terrain, and seemed to enjoy the short gallop tracks on snow as much as I did. For lunch, Faridun organized either a picnic or we enjoyed true Tajik hospitality in the villages we passed by. During the three days, everything was perfectly organized and I could just enjoy the nature and relax.
