About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Q6741PLmichaels0 contributionsStunning train rideChunugu from Mahawala tours got me on the right train/seat for a brilliant train ride with stunning scenery. Great trip. He collected me at Nanu Oya for the rest of the drive, no problems. Would have liked to have spent more time in Nuwara Eliya & if I had of done a little more research & asked I'm sure I could have, so no fault of Chunuga. Nice tea factory on the way back. Good use of limited time for a trip into the hills.Written December 9, 2024
- rosieserge0 contributionsElephants galore! What a fantastic place to visit. We saw so many elephants, at least 40 and all were close enough that if you only have your phone for photos then it would be enough to get great shots. Whilst the elephants were the highlight we also saw buffaloes, jackal, mongoose, monitor lizards, black necked hare, kingfishers, bee eaters, peacocks (which are everywhere), spotted deer, crocodile, fruit bat, parakeets, minor birds, frogs, jungle fowl (the national bird), painted storks, pond herons and numerous other birds. We were picked up and dropped off at our accommodation and the safari jeep was ideal for a great view of the wildlife.Written December 8, 2024
