Itinerary
- 1We will visit a few historic cricket clubs, and see some important memorabilia that has been preserved in the country over the course of cricket history in Sri Lanka. It's a good way to get a full overview of the island's existing grounds, significant matches that have been played over the years, as well as get an in-depth look at the notable players, such as the legendary Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, known for being the highest wicket-taker in history of Test cricket. After the visits, we will enjoy lunch at a really special place that was opened the same year Sri Lanka won the '96 Cricket World Cup, and where there is a display of a lot of antique cricket memorabilia. The objects have been collected from many international events & players recreating the entire timeline of cricket history. The atmosphere is information and perfect for a real cricket fan. In the afternoon, you have an option between a private softball match with a local team, or to watch a domestic/international match depending on availability. For the private softball match, it will be just outside of Colombo on a practicing ground, and we'll need at least one hour to account for the drive. The full experience is included with the price, except for lunch, which is very affordable at $10-15 per person.

- Teodora B0 contributionsBest thing to do in Sri LankaI booked this class as I wanted to know more about Sri Lankan dance styles- and I got much more by learning so much about Sri Lankan culture as well. The class was very good, experienced and learned basic steps and hand moves, and got to play the drum as well! The organizers are professional and the ladies are absolutely fabulous! If you have the chance you definitely should try this.Written January 7, 2020
- Pianovista0 contributionsCricket is a great game at any ageI tremendously enjoyed this activity. Pradeep explained the game to me very well, I didn’t know this sport before. This game is very popular in Sri Lanka. The team and the coach were great and very warm. I learned to use the bat, throw the ball. I am much better at batting, and i was scoring many runs. I would love to play with a bigger group one day and be part of.a team. It’s wonderful that it is never too late to learn this sport and to enjoy a game at any age.Written July 6, 2019
- Janath290 contributionsLoved it - very entertaining cricket game and learning experienceI am not a sports fanatic, but i was very curious about this activity because i wanted to meet some local people and to spend some fun time playing a game. It was so much more than i expected, the group of players was really friendly and welcoming, i got to see a real match and to learn a lot about this sport. Also how to bat, how to throw the ball, and general rules of the game. It’s definitely a fun way to meet people and get to know them socially. Wow, what a good time!Written May 17, 2019
