Did this tour while on a cruise and the driver/ guide, Nadin, was waiting for us at the port. He spoke good English, was polite, the car was clean, and we enjoyed the tour. As the plantation was about an hour away, most of the time was spent travelling there and back. However, the actual time spent at the plantation, which included a factory tour, was very interesting and gave us the opportunity to have a cup of tea and purchase some of the produce.

Cruise ship trip booked by email and told $150 for two people.. Ripped off because you can book for much less on trip adviser. I was too late booking though to get that price. Tea plantation small. Took 80 min to get there. Supposed to go to rubber plantation but it was just a small area with a few trees and not very easy to access ( scrape past thorny branches. Then back to Colombo for city tour. Glad I didn’t do tuk tuk tour of town as it was busy and lots of diesel fumes. Got us off the boat for 5 hrs which was good and the journey was enjoyable when we into the countryside. Driver was very helpful

The driver was excellent and very friendly . The tour was a week long, and we went from the Palms Beach Resort in Beruwala to the Arilia Red in Nuwara Eliya. From here we went to the Seerock Kings Domain in Sigiria. Our driver also knew about nearby attractions that we didn't know about.

Everything was done to perfection. We were picked up at the cruise port on time by Kapila Withanage who looked after all our needs. Visit to the tea plantation was very interesting and after our visit Kapila took us to interesting places on the journey back. Nothing was to much bother for him. I would recommend this trip especially if your host is KW.

We used Kamvelta tours 3 times on shore excusions when visiting Colombo. The tour desk is set up as you leave the ship so is no problem to find. The first was a tuktuk tour around the city and our driver/guide Mansoor was very pleasant and flexible allowing us to go at our own pace and accompanying us whenever we stepped out of the tuktuk at the points of interest. The second was a visit to a local festival in the evening - this was really a transfer but Kamvelta ensured the tuktuk driver found us a place to sit on the pavement and waited to collect us when the parade finished and was instructed to wait with us until a taxi arrived from within the port at the entrance to ensure we were safely driven back to the ship - tuktuks are not allowed in the port. The third trip was to visit Galle Fort, the Stick Firshermen, a Turtle Sanctuary and a boat trip. Our guide, Manjula was a most excellent and patient guide. I was under the misunderstanding that there was a visit to a temple where there are many coloured steps and a very tall Budha - Manjula was not aware of this site and spent quite some time doing an internet search for this temple which couldnt be found - when I got back to the ship and checked the temple is in Kuala Lumpa not Colombo! Manjula showed immense patience - he took us to a very lovely temple and I had got it all wrong anyway as there was no temple stop on the tour I booked. So many thanks to him for a wonderful day. Sri Lankan people are very friendly and accommodating and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Kamvelta and the staff. Many thanks for your services.

On November 9th, 2023 we were in the port of Colombo with the cruise ship AIDA Bella. We had already booked the “Shore Excursion Colombo Port to Mount Lavinia Beach & Colombo City for 4 - 6 people” through Tripadvisor with Kamvelta Travels. We were warmly welcomed directly in front of the ship and asked to go to the agency's office. There we were introduced to our guide Denzel and our driver, who drove us through Colombo for the next few hours in a large, modern van. We were shown all the important sights without any time pressure and explained by Denzel in very understandable English. We then drove to a very beautiful and clean stretch of Mount Lavinia Beach. There we could enjoy the beautiful sea with its big waves. After 2 hours we were picked up again and taken back to the ship. We spent a wonderful day in Colombo and can fully recommend this tour. This tour was provided by Kamvelta tours and what an outstanding day we had. It started with their excellent organisation from the port to our excellent driver customising our tour to suit our personal requirements. Our driver was so friendly and went out of his way to make us appreciate his beautiful city of Columbo. It was an hour or do drive to the tea plantation but we enjoyed that as we got to see the sights and sounds and people of Sri Lanka. We enjoyed the tea plantation and found the tour very interesting. And yes I bought some to take home. Very good day and a great tour company to deal with. Thankyou

We were picked up by our guide, Nalin, at the cruise port. He was very knowledgeable on all aspects of Sri Lanka. We drove to the tea plantation and had an interesting tour and then he took us back to Colombo and to the main highlights in the town. We stopped for a tea tasting and to purchase good quality tea. Nalin was a very good guide, a very safe driver and went out of his way to make our day as enjoyable as he could. I would highly recommended him.

A little confusion at pick-up did not detract from a comfortable trip inland. The tea factory was an eye-opener. Some adjustment of the air condition is required, but excellent driving. (

We were a group of 6 arriving on a cruise and we were picked up in a large private bus as we got off the boat. We were taken to all the main tourist attractions in the city and our driver had a number of recommendations for us that were not on the original itinerary including a great restaurant on the beach for lunch. The timing of the tour is perfect as a shore excursion.

We went on a private tour to Ingiriya with a sightseeing trip through Colombo afterwards. The tour was very professionally organized and our guide was always helpful and offered interesting insights into the country and its people.

We came from Costa Victoria We had an amazing trip Colombo to ingiriya tea plantation and on the way we did Colombo city tour.
