This tour is fabulous if you like a local cultural experience. It was a private tour in an air conditioned car. Our very skilled driver, Saradh, spoke English and was easy to converse with during the hour drive to Viakom village. We picked up our delightful guide, Meera, just outside of the town. Her English was great. She was personable and passionate while introducing us to women sustainable in Kerala, the historic temple, and especially the walking tour of the village. The local families demonstrated all the ways they process coconut - fascinating! Then we were treated to some samples, a boat ride, followed by a tuk tuk ride to a local home stay, Orchid Villa, for a delicious traditional Kerala meal on banana leaves. The driver did a great job getting us back to Port timely for boarding our ship. Highly recommend.

Our recent trip to India was our first but definitely not the last! We were introduced to Rajesh at Globes Travel through a friend of ours and we felt so lucky to have found him! The attention to detail in the planning of our itinerary was exemplary with the final cut featuring everything we hoped for out of our experience as well as suggestions that Rajesh thought would appeal to us. We were so impressed before we even set off! We chose to stay in a mix of hotels that were in the most part Heritage properties. All were unique and of a great standard. Maidens in Delhi, Samode Haveli (Jaipur), Rawla Narlai and Taj Fateh Prakash (Udaipur) were our favourites. Rajesh had secured great deals on the tariffs so costs were nearly always under the normal rates. We were really so well looked after at every stage of the trip whether it was a Globes Travel representative meeting us or a guide escorting us for the day. Nothing was too much trouble and we always felt valued and looked after. Rajesh checked in with us every day to check all was well. My husband celebrated his birthday whilst we were there and Rajesh even organised cake and flowers which was the most lovely gesture. We had a driver escort us throughout the trip - he was delightful! A fantastic driver who looked after us on the long drives and navigated the unique driving experience in India magnificently! Our trip was topped off by a surprise framed photo montage waiting for us at our final hotel. A very thoughtful memento of a trip of a lifetime. India is full of energy, a riot of colour, flavour and rich in history. Its people are full of smiles - humble, peaceful, respectful and living in harmony with diversity. We definitely experienced the best of India and its people and have the outstanding Rajesh at GlobesTravel to thank for that. If you are considering India do not hesitate but please only do it with Rajesh and his team’s help!

The schedule was tight from our point of view because of other commitments, but Globes Travel produced a very good itinerary. The hotel in Kochi was very good, in fact all of the CGH hotels were of a great standard with great food, very accommodation and very professional and friendly service. The hotel Munnar, not a CGH hotel was, in my opinion not of the standard for a foreign visitor. All the sightseeing arrangements, including the taxi and guides when necessary were very good - I can't fall any of them. Kochi was pleasant, but the tea plantations and the visit to the national park was awesome. Spice Village was a great hotel, the early morning boat safari was disappointing, but the martial arts demo was fantastic. Kumarakum and the back waters is what we think of of Kerala and the back waters - very, very good. I will definitely use Globes Travel again for India trips, but making sure the hotels are of the standard of CGH.

Rajesh and his team planned a fantastic itinerary for the family. All of the team were great and enhanced the experience for us. Rajesh was extremely helpful whilst we were on our holiday, helping with changes at short notice. Nothing was too much trouble and the team arranged some unique experiences for us. We had a medical emergency with our son on the trip but Rajesh and his team made sure everything was taken care of and made all the necessary arrangements for us. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful and overall exciting experience. It was my first visit to Kerala and the enriching and soothing emotion the trip felt in my can not be described in literal words.
