Lovely 2 hours on the water in Negombo. The boatman took us from our hotel by tuk tuk to the bridge and we boarded the boat. We saw the hangovers here we had a fruit picnic. Then we went to Monkey Island to feed the monkeys, including babies. We saw herons and pelicans and one blue kingfisher.

Had a fantastic day out to Udawalawe and saw lots of elephants. Driven by Ranga who was helpful, polite and he drove safely. Most pleasant indeed.

Amazing my driver was Krish lovely man he picked me up on time and we set off for Kandy taking me around a very informative. We went to the elephant reserve, tea , factory , botanical gardens, wood carvings work shop , gems and diamond lab ( got to see them actually make some beautiful pieces) . Textiles making , I was fasting as well so he made accommodation for me to break and a Local s&p for me to freshen up and grab some food very thoughtful and kind so thanks soo much

Excellent tour of Negombo Lagoon. Abundant wildlife viewing, including numerous birds, monkeys, and a giant monitor lizard in the mangroves. The guide was quite knowledgeable about the lagoon, very friendly, and extremely accommodating any time you wanted to take a picture. An amazing fresh fruit buffet and coconut drink were provided. I highly recommend this tour!

After fantastic Negombo city tour yesterday we decided to do the Lagoon tour with Nishan from Helituktuktours. He was again brilliant. The tour started being picked up from our hotel and taken to the boat where we toured out with commentary all the way along with laughs. We were treated to fruit whilst sitting on chairs in the lake, just perfect. To then seeing monkeys and water dragon with multiple bird life . Definitely worth doing especially with Nishan. Thank you

This is an excellent trip if you are based in Colombo and aren’t planning to stay in Kandy. This was exactly what I was looking for as a quick introduction to the culture triangle with my limited time. It is a long day but you see a lot. The guide and drive were excellent not only in knowledge, and making sure we had everything we needed. But also driving respectful and safely. It was a busy day at the Cave temple, Sigiriya and the additional safari due to it being a national holiday. So check that and I would recommend any other day. If it wasn’t for our tour guide setting us up with a local Sigiriya guide at the site. I think I would still be in line trying to climb, due to the amount of people. I highly recommend this tour

I had the best experience on this day trip. Rajid and Bala were an amazing team. Rajid gave a lot of history and insights to the places we visited. Bala is an excellent driver and I felt very safe with him. As a solo traveler, I can wholeheartedly recommend this trip.

I was recommended Apple vacations by my Sri Lankan friend. It did not disappoint. This was my second time visiting Sri Lanka and they able to customise the tour to my preferences, and this return trip was even more outstanding than my first visit. Apple vacations recommended new activities for me to do since it was my second visit, and responded very quickly to my queries and requests. When I encountered minor issues during the trip, and raised this to the company, they were addressed quickly and effectively. Our guide/driver Krish was very helpful throughout the trip and we managed to buy all the souvenirs we wanted to get. He also found out that I enjoyed massages and would make it a point to stop by a massage place, and even wait for us to complete the massage before returning to the hotel. He also recommended us which food stalls to go to, and they were excellent choices. The food was clean and neither of us came down with any stomach ailments. He is very experienced - and gave some good advise to us during the tour - ie when we were walking down to the 9 arches bridge, he suggested we take a Tuktuk as the path was narrow and steep. The tour package was thoughtfully planned, and they worked around our very odd flight times - which was a touch down at 12 midnight and a departure at about 1am. We particularly enjoyed being able to view the elephants bathing in the river from our hotel, visiting an elephant sanctuary where elephants were humanely treated, the turtle hatchery, and strolling around nurawa eliya and Ella. We had some rainy weather, our guide Krish shuffled our itinerary so that we could maximise our outdoor activities when it was not raining. Since it was a private tour package, we did not have to crowd or squeeze into the boats for the river cruise or safari jeep, and could take things at our own pace and spend it on the activities which we enjoyed. I also enjoyed the fact that quite a few of the activities planned involved the local villagers in the area and thus generating employment for them, whilst encouraging them to keep their traditional customs and practices. The hotels recommended were clean comfortable and luxurious and the half board package made it very convenient for us. Overall would 100% recommend Apple vacations. We both had a great and relaxing holiday and could do this as the logistics of the travel planning was all taken care of by Apple vacations.

We had a wonderful day with Naveen and his driver exploring many sites in Colombo. Naveen was very knowledgeable about the different places we visited and welcomed and answered our many questions. We were able to take our time at each site which gave us the opportunity to really appreciate what we were experiencing. Our tour ended with us enjoying a very tasty traditional Sri Lankan lunch. Many thanks to them both for a memorable day. We would highly recommend this tour .
