We also got quoted some very high prices from other companies. Then we came across Mahaweli Tours. I couldn't recommend this tour company more! They were brilliant! We arranged a private driver from place to place and our train tickets from Kandy to Ella with Mahaweli Tours. Everything went flawless and was reasonably priced. The drivers were always so nice and very helpful. Prasad (I think he is the owner) was always very quick with emailing or send us a whatsapp message. If I ever come back to Sri Lanka I will defo be using this company again. They made our trip really brilliant.

We had the chance to go in 2nd class with reserved seats, that allows us the option to spend some time in the opened door, with the wind in the face, as well as sitting in our reserved seats to rest a little bit and meeting some locals :) I really recommend this experience, the day has been amazing and we have enjoyed a lot the views of this magic land.

We had a driver pick us up from our hotel in the morning, he drove us out to the range where we met our local guide. We saw many waterfalls and could swim in two of them. We then had a lovely Sri Lankan lunch cooked for us before travelling back to Kandy. Great trip - would recommend
