My husband and I needed to hire a driver for our 7 day trip in Sri Lanka and a friend recommended this company. The company representative was very quick to respond in giving us quotes and suggestions for our route, and it only took a few back and forths to finalize. Our driver Ajanth was fantastic. I got sick part way through the trip and he immediately took me to a nearby clinic and got me to see a doctor quickly, providing translation services as needed. The service representative also checked in on me to ask how I was feeling after I got sick. The service representative would actually check in every other day to ask how our trip was going and if there were any problems. Our driver was very flexible when we changed our routes a few times. Was very easy to coordinate with. Both the driver and service representative answered all our questions about Sri Lanka, where to go, how to get train tickets, find tour companies, etc. Would definitely recommend hiring a driver through this company. A beautiful country with very hospitable people!

When a business trip to Sri Lanka happened, I decided to convert it into a business cum pleasure trip and sought GetGo tours to plan my travel to this majestic destination. 3 hours into the tour and the only food or shopping expeirience was buying an ice cream. I assumed that the places mentioned would simply be passed as we were introduced to various shopping and eating areas. If we had wanted a Cultural Tour we would have booked one. I kept looking at my booking thinking we had been sent on the wrong tour. May have been improved if our driver ( note not guide ) had a passable command of English. Worse tour we have ever had. Waste of time and money.

Excellent customer service, with an awesome experience in Sri Lanka. From start to end, everything was fantastic. From accommodation to driver, entrance fees all were included in the price, so we had nothing to stress about for extra fees to be spend on our holiday. Huge thanks for GetGo Tours team!

It was me and my wife’s honeymoon where we spent 10 days in Srilanka, all organized by Getgo tours. Our driver was Chinthaka who took care of us throughout these 10 days. At first we were a bit anxious where we going to go for our honeymoon, should it be Maldives or Sri Lanka was our biggest question. At the end we heard that Sri Lanka ranked number 1 in lonelyplanet, so then we thought choosing Sri Lanka would be the best idea, and that decision was right :). Thank you Getgo tours. Our recent trip to Sri Lanka was excellent. We were greeted warmly at the Colombo Airport by Imalka who guided us throughout the tour of 9 days in Sri Lanka. The transportation was done in an Axio car which was very comfortable and we loved the Hotels we stayed at. We booked 5 star hotels under luxury category and all the hotels we stayed were amazing, the staff was very friendly. One of the unforgettable experience in the tour is the history of Sigiriya rock and its stunning view. I would recommend everyone not to forget to visit Sigiriya if you travel to Sri Lanka. Also I would like to thanks Philipp the owner of the company for organizing such a wonderful trip for us in Sri Lanka. :)

That was our first trip to Sri Lanka. And we enjoyed staying in Bentota since it’s a nice and quiet place. You can truly enjoy yourself there, the location is very beautiful is just so nice and clean and not too many people are there, and it makes you feel so relaxed :) we would definitely recommend GetGo Tours!

Just returned from this trip and had a great time. It took me to the main cultural locations I wanted to see. My guide, Chintha, was extremely knowledgeable about the sites, Buddhism, and Sri Lanka in general, and he spoke excellent English. Ask for him to be your guide and you will be glad you did! Prior to booking, I read many reviews complaining about the room, so I took the "economy" upgrade. This resulted in very nice and scenic hotels with great service. Definitely no complaints about the accommodations! This tour can be very flexible if you need, just call when you book to work out what you want. For example, I traveled solo; hotels were very nice, but a bit remote - I should have called ahead and asked for accommodations in town (my bad). Let them know what you want and they will make it happen.

Four Temples to witness, the ceiling paintings, coloured in natural colours for the first and oldest King inspired temple. As you progress to the other temples there is a small Hindu shrine to be blessed by, for a small donation too.. but as you progress down the row of temples, they get less traditional and artificial colours are introduced in the wall paintings which don't last over time compared to the natural colours which still hold their colours. Having an older guide is a good thing, they might know the deeper meanings behind the hand postures of the Buddhas.. Many Buddhas as more people pay their respects. Beautiful Lotus flower offerings adorn the alters in front of the sleeping Buddha. Overall an enriching experience.. costing 1500 rp.

Just when we though we had seen most of what our beautiful world has to offer, we stumbled upon Sri-Lanka. Just when we thought we had seen the best luxury service a tour company has to offer, we stumbled upon this tour company. We have traveled to 16 countries in 2016, 17 countries in 2017 and 18 countries in 2018. By far the biggest and the most pleasant surprise was Sri-Lanka. The biggest contribution to this trip was the professionalism and excellent service provided by this tour company. Unlike most of our trips, we did not make detailed plans for this trip. We just emailed general guidelines and asked the tour company to come up with the details. I can write many pages about our wonderful experiences, but do not want to spoil it for the rest. Must go see it for yourself…. And pick this tour company to do it right.

I arranged a tour in sri lanka for me and my family. It was a 7 day tour and The experiences we had were absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect from the first contact I made with Travelasia. We chose the Luxury category which they offer 4 star hotels for all 6 nights. All the hotels were perfect and some hotels were even 5 star. The sri lankan people we met along the way were so open and kind. In this tour we did snorkeling, whale watching, safari, sigiriya, tooth temple & much more. Following our initial communications, Philipp organised a magical and memorable tour and we left feeling in total awe. Sri Lanka is simply an extraordinary holiday destination with so much diversity. We initially recovered from our long haul flight by soaking up the sun on the beaches of Bentota and Unawatuna, but Philipp organised to break this time up with a visit to the Dutch Fort Town of Galle, where a chilled drink in the courtyard of The Fort Printers Hotel was most welcome. A lagoon boat trip was also arranged which included a visit to a shrine, a mango grove, a cinnamon demonstration and even a fish foot massage! Philipp and his lovely, smiley and incredibly punctual driver, Ajith were very happy to stop spontaneously and satisfy my passion for antiques, not to mention numerous unexpected photo opportunities - the Still Fishermen, cows in the streets, shrines and festivals to name just few. It was then time for a sunrise safari in Yala National Park, where we were fortunate to see a wild bear. Ella was our next destination and we particularly enjoyed the chilled out hippie vibe. The Nine Arch Bridge inspired us to take a train journey, which Philipp was only too pleased to arrange and we were collected in Nuwara Eliya, apparently known as Little England because of the cooler climate and the architecture. Lunch at the Grand Hotel was fabulous. The scenery with its abundance of tea plantations and waterfalls are breath-taking. From Kandy we headed to Minneriya National Park and enjoyed seeing elephants in the wild. A visit to Sigiriya Rock and the Dambulla Cave Temple was fabulous. For me, Dambulla was incredible and easily completes with the Egyptian pyramids. After this visit and as our tour was coming to a close Philipp asked if we had any requests - yes, a chilled drink overlooking paddy fields would be perfect. Ten minutes later Ajith pulled up at The Thilanka Hotel and within five further minutes - our request materialised! Cheers and many, many thanks once again for a once in a lifetime experience.

I originally was trying to plan my entire trip on my own but because it felt more stressful to plan my vacation (especially because of how I'd get around in such little time), I eventually found (company name) and I'm glad I did! Philip (the agent) was very accommodating, even while on the trip, for any changes I wanted to make. They were also the only agency I spoke to that was willing to add in Adam's Peak with no issue (I only paid $100 extra to include the extra day/night at Adam's Peak). The hotels were of superb quality and I probably had the best rooms in almost every hotel I was at. I had a beautiful view almost everywhere (the only exception would be Colombo (still a wonderful hotel!) because that was a last minute change while I was towards the end of the trip); I was staying at three-star hotels so I can only imagine how amazing five-star hotels would be if that's how great these ones were. I enjoyed all the activities for sure, especially in Kandy generally, the Yala Safari and the lunch trip to/from the village in the ox cart/boat/tuk tuk. One thing to note is that you have to be open to the activities they want to take you to, and that you need to think about your tolerance for heat and climbing/heights (especially together - like when we did the Cave Temple... may not have been smart to do it in the middle of the day). Knowing this will help you decide to perhaps do outdoor things more towards the early morning or evening if you're prone to heat stroke, or plan for alternatives like a balloon ride in Sigiriya if you're not interested in climbing Lions Rock. If you let the agent know about your preferences, they'll arrange it accordingly for you. Despite travelling alone, I always felt safe and secure - both because Jerad (the driver) and the Sri Lankans as people. Having a driver meant I missed out on taking some of the most scenic train routes but because it was my first time in Sri Lanka and I was alone, I felt it was better to reassure of myself (and my worried family and friends!) of my security and ability to get everywhere with a driver. I would definitely recommend them to anybody going to Sri Lanka if they are looking for an agent to coordinate their trip and/or driver to take them around. Why stress about your vacation planning when you can let someone who lives there help you out?
