About the operator
- 818lebrunr00Great personalized trek and tourIncredible experience and really personalized service. Trango is absolutely the right company to discover the north of Pakistan and do a trek. 100% recommendable
- syedqamark00Tormik Meadow Baltistan with Trango Adventure"Ascending the Tormik Meadow Baltistan with Trango Adventure was an exhilarating experience. The breathtaking vistas and challenging trails were made even more memorable by the laughter, encouragement, and shared moments with friends. It's not just about reaching the summit; it's about the journey and the people who make it extraordinary. This adventure left me with cherished memories and a profound appreciation for both nature's beauty and the bonds we forged along the way."
- 51214hanna00Helpful staff and enjoy the tripWe had a three week walking trip to K2, camping every night and walking across the Baltoro glacier. Having previously been to Everest Basecamp, there was a level of expectation management that this would be a different trip but, no amount of preparation would have made a difference, this was totally different. On Everest there were comfortable nights in nice tea houses, with lovely food and war rooms. This is not that trip, it is tough, the walking is harder, the camping is harder, and there is very few respites. BUT, and it is a massive BUT, it was incredible. The views are stunning, the experience amazing and the whole trip just incredible. All helped by walking with lovely people both in our group and supporting us. Without Trango Adventure, it wouldn't have been the same. Thank you Trango, and especially thank you Mr shabbir Hussain
- Fernandez234200K2-concordia Base camp Trek 2022I had a great time with Trango adventures team for K2 Base Camp trekking! As I have no experience in hiking and trekking before , I m so worried about the trip at the beginning! Thanks MrShabir and Mr mehbob for tips and tricks related trekking, they offer a very nice price for us and sharing Skardu culture with us. We love the time to spend with our guide Sakhawat in these 16 days as he is a really serious guy and he is really professional in the trek. And we love the views on the mountain on Urdukas camp site. It was perfect :) Almost everything with Trango Adventures was amazing, we had to face some difficulty because of road blocks and wrecked bridge during trek. But thats part of nature, we control those things. So everything was great. Thank you so much Trango family for such a great hospitality. Highly recommended Trango adventures if u plan to have your trekking in Pakistan.
- JLVillanueva00BEST HOSPITALITY, BEST PRICE, BEST QUALITYIf your looking for a trusted local trekking company then Trango Adventures is for you. My husband and I did K2 Concordia trek end of September 2021 and were the last trekkers of the year, This company amazed us. Travelling during Covid-19 was not easy and there were many regulations and rules. We were lucky to have the assistance of Shahid chatting back and fourth through Whatsup with ANY questions or concerns we may have. We felt like we were never alone knowing Shahid was just a text/call away. Trango Adventures treated us like family. With the unpredictability of mountain weather and cancellation of flights, the Trango family was always there to help whether its rebooking tickets, PCR tests/ COVID questions, transportation, or even simply just recommendations on restaurants and places. You will get the experience of travelling independently and having the piece of mind that someone local is willing to help you with any questions you may have. With that being said, we booked Trango for the K2 Concordia trek but we ended up asking their advice for the whole trip. They did not hesitate to help us even if we chose to stay at a different hotel that was not part of their company. K2 trek was amazing and Trango was able to provide us with experienced local guides, cook, and porters. We spent 12 days on the mountain and they were able to accommodate us with whatever we need. They even made us Pizza in 4000+m elevation because I had mentioned I craved it at one point. The gear they used is very good quality. The tent alone was the best tent we've ever used (North face Summit series). We were provided with comfortable matts as well. Trango adventures owns the Summit hotel in Skardu where we decided to stay after our trek. We met the owners of the company (Shahid's father hence Family owned company) who gave us tips on the K2 trek. They are mountain climbers and have met famous climbers all over the world. They are the best people to ask for trekking advice. It was very lovely to meet them and the whole Trango Adventures family. Our trip would not have been the same without these guys. We are very grateful and hopefully will go visit again soon.
- 123JBW12300It delivers where the residual value countsTrango Adventure delivers where the residual value counts – the memory of K2 and the Karakoram mountains and glaciers from an epic trek of a lifetime. The best view of K2 is along the trail from Concordia to Broad Peak base camp (BC) and then onward to K2 BC. Doing it in a (very) long day and returning back to Concordia would not only be physically challenging but also won’t give one much time to enjoy the world-class scenery. After all, flying to Pakistan and then Skardu and then riding 1-day jeep to the trailhead for K2 BC trek is to fully enjoy what K2 and the Karakoram mountains have to offer, instead of rushing one of the most important days of this multi-week trip. Not many companies, western adventure agencies included, offer a standard literary that has a built-in Broad Peak BC overnight day so that clients can have a better K2 experience. One reason is the additional costs for the horses/mules and trekking crew. There is no vegetation for the animals beyond Concordia so camping at Broad Peak BC means carrying extra horse feed all the way from the trailhead, which is not cheap. And typically, porters and horses/horsemen don’t get paid on the “rest days”; this means it costs more to have them carry a load to Broad Peak BC for clients’ one-night stay there and then return with the load to Concordia the next day for another night, vs. just stay at Concordia while clients do the tough walk in a single long day (Concordia to Broad Peak BC / K2 BC and then back to Concordia the same day). We did K2 BC trek with Trango Adventure in Aug 2021 whose standard literary has a built-in camping day at Broad Peak BC with a price compatible to other companies that do not camp there. The trekking crew was eager to share their love of K2 and the Karakoram, and we had the best view of K2, Broad Peak, and the surrounding mountains up-close while walking on the Godwin Austen Glacier that leads to K2 BC (and beyond). In addition, the acclimatization day hike of Trango Adventure’s K2BC literary is an ascent to a lookout near Urdukas campsite, instead of doing acclimatization in Paiju as most of the trekking companies do. The choice of the former allowed us to see three of the world’s 14 eight-thousanders (i.e. Broad Peak, Gasherbrum II and Gasherbrum I), thanks to cooperating weather. In summary, Trango Adventure delivers where the residual value counts – the memory of K2 and the Karakoram from this epic trek of a lifetime. We’ve attached 10 photos to share, where 8 of them were taken from the walk of Broad Peak BC / K2 BC as well as from the lookout near Urdukas.
- John v00Trek to K2 Base CampI hiked to K2 basecamp with Trango Adventure. The price is mid-level but the experience is excellent. Communication before the trek was easy and Trango very responsive. Airport transfers were perfect. The trek itself was spectacular. Spending time with the porters was a highlight for me. The food delicious. The equipment in very good shape. Their concern for your comfort and the service they provide is 5 star. I consider everyone at Trango Adventure a friend for life.
- AnttiNaykki00Trek to Concordia at the base of K2Had an amazing trek to Concordia at the base of K2. Staff were very helpful right from booking the trek to finishing the trip.
- 431majidp00K2 base camp trek in pakistanAn amazing K2 base camp trek with Trango Adventure. I wanted to travel with a local company in Pakistan as it will benefit the local people and local economy. I chose to book my K2 base camp trek journey with Trango Adventure. They were local, knew the area inside out and ticked all the boxes. Office staff and the field crew were extremely helpful throughout the K2 base camp trek. Enjoyed every moment I spent in the mountains with my Guide and the friendly Balti porters. They provided clean tents and plenty of food. The highlight of the K2 base camp trek was, spending two night at Concordia under the shadow of K2 (8,611 meters), Broad Peak ( 8,047 meters), Gasherbrum (8,080 meters), Concordia is like no place you have seen before. Sparsely populated and extremely humbling, the rugged terrain that makes up Pakistan's Karakoram Range is just as impressive as you imagine. The huge peak of K2, the second highest mountain in the world, dominates the renown Baltoro area. Trekking to the foothills of K2 and Concordia is an absolute classic trek, highly recommended.
- KhalidJamil46800Trip to SkarduBeing from Lahore we always wanted to see Snow and experience the winter season of the Skardu and the Other valleys in Baltistan. After going though some tour companies profiles, we selected Trango Adventure as they seems to be the most experienced local company. We flew from Islamabad to Skardu Airport. Flight to Skardu was a 45 minute long with Fantastic mountain vistas. You will not see a mountain view like this anywhere else in the world. I must give credit to the hard working Civil Aviation guys for keeping the runway dry and clear of snow in the winter when temperatures was Minus 20 and whole Skardu valley was full of snow. Our guide Abbas was waiting for us at Skardu airport, after meet and greet he transfer us to Summit Hotel In Skardu. We spent 4 days in Skardu, visiting Sadpara lake, Shigar fort, Upper kachura lake and Khaplu valley. We had a wonder time in Skardu, Thanks to Trango Adventure and their friendly staff. All the best guys.
- WillMiller566700Skardu tourFantastic. Really good guides and very flexible to my requirements. They were very helpful when my flight got changed. Only work on point would be to give more detail in the suggested itinerary. However, that's absolutely minor and still rated 9.5/10
- jaest201900Cycling Tour Hunza Valley and DeosayThis was a excellent tour with friendly and helpful guides. Due to VISA problems of the planned other participants I was the only guest. Therefore after partionally cycling from Chilas up to Khunjerab, it was easy to add to the tour to a real mountain biking section on DEOSAY plateau on the way to Skardu. This was a very good recommendation of one of my guides. All guest houses on the tour were perfect, few super good, same is true for the food. In discussions during lunch and dinners I learned a lot about Pakistan which changed my picture of the country completely. It is a friendly and peaceful country with a impressive nature. My travel time was 2 weeks around an religious holiday (and school holidays) mid of August therefore people were at home and not on the roads. Everything was organized perfectly including welcome at Islamabad which is worth to stay one or two days.
- davecQ9768PD00K2 base camp trekBeing a trekkers k2 has been in our mind for many years. Finally, last year we decide to do the k2 trek in July 2019. We prepared ourself for this trek by doing some swimming, hiking and cycling. After Many weeks of research we decided to Travel with a local company Trango Adventure because they had good reviews and many years of Experience. We arrived in Islamabad at the beginning of August. I must say we were impress by the new Islamabad Airport and the capital city itself. Booth were very clean and tidy. After spending a night in Islamabad we took this spectacular flight to Skardu. We spent two days in Skardu for preparation and documentation with with local authorities. What struck me and my wife was the most was how friendly everyone was. This country which all too often is poorly portrayed in Western media as unfriendly and teeming with Western hating terrorists is the exact opposite. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and proud. Certainly the Baltistan region proved to be so over and over. We walked freely around Skardu at all hours and never felt ill at ease. I am not aware of an unkind word or gesture toward anyone. We began k2 trek with a 7-8 hour ‘jeep’ ride to the small village of Askole. Although only about 150 km the Toyota Land cruisers were rarely above second gear and never into fourth. Parts of the route are ever changing as the creeks which can explode in size in a matter of a few hours bring down debris, especially rocks and boulders that have to be navigated around. Roads and bridges can suddenly disappear or be totally stranded. After camp setup and other details we visited the tiny village including a museum that comprised one of the first homes. The area has been inhabited for over 400 years. The original inhabitants crossing one of the high mountain passes to escape aggressors and find a peaceful homeland. Next day we were on the trail around 0600 hours. The weather had changed as we spent most of the day walking to Paiju Camp in intermittent showers and rain that carried over from the previous evening. Paiju Camp brought us to within an hours walk of the toe of the Baltoro glacier. The last night for a while that we would not be sleeping on or beside a glacier. Baltoro glacier welcomed us next morning. Our progress slowed as the need to watch every step became not only routine but a requirement. For those of us with a penchant for wandering down a trail searching for hidden treasures like birds, animals, flowers, etc the requirement to watch every step caused a major and rapid change of technique. This is one of the most dynamic and interesting places on the planet. One can observe almost daily the Earth going through changes that form and create the landscape that in most other places occurred millennia in the past – landslides, avalanches, glacial lakes forming and disappearing, rivers carving away the land, cornices caving, rocks and soil being ground into powder, lichens, moss and plants doing their utmost to get for the most part a tentative and temporary foothold only to succumb to the power of change. But with time they become more permanent and begin the ecological succession that one day will see a meadow or a forest where today there seems to be only rock and ice. More grand mountains revealed themselves: the grand Trango Tower. A spectacularly elegant and beautiful rock spire and the scene of one of the most legendary mountain climbing achievements when Doug Scott of Britain successfully reached the summit. Each day we were steadily and safely gaining altitude. Our bodies were adapting to the declining levels of oxygen. Even so most of were finding hills that we could literally run up at lower elevations left us breathing deeply. We finished the day at Udurkas Camp having glorious views of Gasherbrum, Broad Peak and glimpses of Gasherbrum I, Mitre Peak and more. The Nameless Tower was dominant from camp. We trudged up the Baltoro glacier and on to Concordia, another legendary site sitting at the foot of Gasherbrum IV. It is the confluence of the Baltoro, Concordia and Godwin-Austen glaciers. Here, facing Gasherbrum IV a right turn leads to the basecamp for Gasherbrum I and Gasherbrum II. A left turn takes you past Broad Peak basecamp to K2 base camp. This is the greatest concentration of 8,000 metre peaks on the planet. It truly is the Throne Room of the Mountain Gods. We spent the rest of the day marvelling at the spectacular scenery and depleting our retinue of superlatives. K2 meanwhile kept a steady vigil at the head of the Godwin-Austen glacier. It seemed we were continually checking to confirm this natural miracle was still there every few minutes. The Concordia glacier is one of the coldest places to sleep. Several hundred feet of ice, an elevation of 4,500 metres and an almost constant wind all contribute. K2 base camp at 5,500 metres higher is substantially colder which would cause our support team to be exceptionally uncomfortable. After visiting K2, we followed the same itinerary back, via Askoli village, Shigar valley then to Skardu. We Spent one night in Skardu before taking the spectacular flight back to Islamabad. Skardu to Islamabad is flight is weather dependent, but we were very lucky. In case of bad weather most people would drive on Karakoram highway to Chilas for over night stay then drive to Islamabad. Our K2 trek adventure in Pakistan was conclude here, our guide Suleman from Trango adventure transferred is to the airport for our flight to London. Pakistan is a beautiful and safe country, and no doubt Pakistani people are the most Friendly and do not hesitate to show their hospitality. We would also like to thank you Trango Adventure for all their support right from the beginning till the end.
- saqlainc9v00Visit to K2 Base CampThree friends and myself went to K2 Base camp with Trango Adventure. Trango and their friendly team supported us From the beginning to the end of the trip. We had a really friendly and Professional Guide, without him we would not have been complete the trek. K2 base trek is no doubt one of the best treks. Thank you trango Adventure for making our dream come true.
- ranajazib8300Trekking With Trango..AWSOME!We just came back from k2 Base camp trek. Our guide Khadim met us at Islamabad airport and took us to the hotel. One night in Islamabad then took a fantastic flight to Skardu. The trek begins in the oasis of Askole, where we set off on the traditional route steeped in mountaineering legend, traversing the imposing Baltoro Glacier to enter a hauntingly beautiful landscape of glacial scars and towering granite peaks. Upon reaching the k2 base camp, we had the chance to chat to climbers hoping to make the summit, before heading back through the breathtaking scenery of the Karakoram, into civilisation. All in All, It was a greet Experience and Thank you Trango Adventure for making this journey once in a life time Experience.

Had a good experience with them! The view from concordia is one you will remember forever. The tour guide were very good at thier job, even helped us communicate with the locals who were also very friendly. the trek is slightly difficult tho, staying in a tent for 6 days isnt easy plus some of the parts of the trek were difficult to cross but they provide you helpers who carry your baggage for you and they have cooks who make the food during the trip. Very fun trek but i'd say a good tour guide is whats essential for the best experience. Realllly appreciate Trango because they made it x10000 times easier

My K2 Base Camp Trek with Trango Adventure was absolutely incredible. Their team's dedication to providing top-notch services was evident in every aspect of the trek. The knowledgeable guide ensured our safety while keeping us engaged with the fascinating local stories. The porters' hard work was commendable, i think they are the real Heroes of Baltoro Glacier and next thins is food, the food served was surprisingly delicious considering the remote location. The cozy musical party at Urdukas camp site allowed me to recharge for whole adventure. Trango Adventure truly exceeded my expectations!

The trekking tour is probably one of the best you can do worldwide. Trango Adventures was the best choice we could make for this little adventure. Let me start with my personal tenet for trekking trips: I would never engage a tour operator, a porter or any other service if I can do it on my own. I have several treks in Latin America and Nepal and I always carried all my stuff on my own because I enjoy the independence as well as the ability to be on "your own" (with my partner of course). For the K2 base camp trek as well as the Gondogoro pass, however, you must engage a local tour operator, either directly or through an international travel agency/"tour operator".
We selected Trango Adventures as they are very experienced and truly customer-oriented. They operate like a family business and their hospitality is unique. They really took care of every detail but at the same time they gave us all the "freedom" and autonomy we wanted during the hike. As a consequence, we did not see ourselves as part of a tourist group but more of a team with a joint mission. The quality of the service as well as the food was amazing. We enjoyed delicious meals with a variety of food that I could not imagine on a trek.
The flipside of the "autonomy", however, is that you need to be aware of what trekking in high altitudes looks like and what the (alpine) challenges of a pass like Gondogoro are in order to be relaxed and "prepared". Some people in our group were scared about the challenged as they lacked the relevant experience. For those people engaging an international agency may be a good option to get better prepared for the trip (and eventually have a "team coordinator" during the trip).
For us, Trango Adventures was perfect due to the professional planning and execution of the trip. We were lucky to see all the big mountains and cross Gongogoro La.

I've used Trango Adventures a number of times, both in arranging travel documents and in trekking up to K2 base camp.
In both cases the service provided was prompt and swift and I was kept informed throughout the process. If ever I has any queries about access or permits Trango Adventure were quick to help, confirming if I could trek in a particular area or not.
The trip to K2 base camp was a wonderful experience. The guides, porters and chefs were all extremely experienced and friendly and the logistics before and throughout the trek were second to none. We never experienced any issues walking along the Baltoro and were made to feel at ease walking among the Karakoram.
Gilgit-Baltistan is one of the greatest mountain regions in the world, full of beautiful peaks, fascinating cultures and friendly, warm people. I felt safe and welcome at all times and never worried for anything.

This summer, I took part on the K2 Base Camp Trek with Trango Adventure, and it was an unforgettable experience! The organization was impeccable from the start, beginning with the smooth airport pickup. The meals were not only delicious but also perfectly accommodated my vegetarian dietary needs.
The guide, the kitchen team, and of course, the irreplaceable porters were all very kind and helpful. This trip will always hold a special place in my memory, and I highly recommend Trango Adventure! :)

I had with with Trango Adventure and with Jasmine Tours the WORST experience I could have this june 2022.
1. They gave me a guide (Kosar Chand) that was terrible. He didn't know english, walk far away from me listened to music during the trek (if something happen he couldn't hear me), throw rubbish everywhere along the path and didn't know anything about distances, altitudes or duration of the trek. He didn't respect the program and pushed too much with altitude. Really dangerous to have a guide like this.
2. They gave me the worst tent I saw along the trek: in the end it broke in 3 points
3. The give me only one tent for dinner and chicken: it means that when I had dinner there where on the food, on me and on my clothes a terrible smell of gasoline all the time for days.
4. They lost my backpack and after 5 hours I found it in good conditions only for honesty of the porters
5. They have to send a jeep to pick up us that never arrive.
There a lot of other things that went bad but I think it's enough to know that is better to avoid this 2 agencies and expecially that guide (the guides works for more than 1 agency

Dear Mauro!
Firstly I would like to apologise for the experience and inconvenience this may have caused.
Trango Adventures prides itself on delivering exceptional customer service, and we have been disappointed to learn this was not the case in this instance.
Our Regional Manager has assessed your claim, and the followings are the outcome.
Mountain Guides in Pakistan are self-employed and we hire them during the summer. You met your appointed Guide in Skardu and spent two full days with him. He spent a lot of time with you in the hotel and accompanied you to the markets to do your last-minute shopping, and you had the opportunity to bring to our attention that the Guide does not speak or understand English. You will know this instantly if the person does not speak and understand English.
You started the trek without any complaints about the Guide, and the services up to Concordia. In Concordia, our field manager caught up with you, had a detailed conversation with you, and you were happy with the services and were enjoying the trip. You came back to Skardu with the same guide, and staff without raising any issues.
We would have promptly changed the Guide or any other member of the staff right at the beginning or during the trip when you had the opportunity to raise the issue. You had the chance to inform us at Concordia when you met our field manager. You must have spoken to us when you returned to Skardu from the trip, but you were happy with the services and the guide. No one will know what you want unless you say it.
During the entire trip, you borrowed a mobile phone from the Guide to communicate with your girlfriend and take photos. Our field manager in Skardu also lends you his mobile phone for three days without additional charges so you can talk to your girlfriend all day and night.
Despite our recommendations, you did not bring a mobile phone or a camera and borrowed mobile phones from our staff during the entire trip to take pictures and talk to your family. You demanded ( not requested) the guide to send you your photos and videos. He kindly sent you all your pictures even though he did not have to because he was not your photographer. According to our staff, you were always rude, angry and wanted to do things your way which is not always possible in the mountains. They asked you to keep the personal bag with passports and other essential items with you inside the Jeep but you did not listen to them and left it on the top of the Jeep.
Bad weather, flight cancelation and Road blockades are part of adventure holidays and it is beyond our control. Roads were blocked at 4 different locations and it does take time for the vehicle to travel on those road in the mountains but you were impatient and jumped into a wrong vehicle and demanded that you wanted to go and did not want to wait for your vehicle to arrive. We ended up paying for two vehicles because of your impatient. On a number of occasions our staff advised you to enjoy the mountains and not get upset about small, small things. It is one of the most important aspect of the adventure holiday that you must work together as a team.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention and please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The journey was nothing short of breathtaking as we navigated through the rugged terrain, with the support of experienced guide, who ensured our safety at every step. His english was weak but had lot of experience so we had confident about him.
The porters were the unsung heroes of our adventure, carrying our gear and supplies with unwavering dedication. Their strength and resilience were truly remarkable, and they added an essential local touch to the trek, sharing stories and insights about the region.
The highlight of the trek was undoubtedly the awe-inspiring Baltoro Glacier, a frozen river of immense proportions. The glacier's vastness and beauty were beyond words, and it was humbling to be in the presence of such natural grandeur.
As we trekked closer to K2, the world's second-highest peak, its majestic presence left us in awe. The sheer magnitude of the surrounding mountains, including Broad Peak and Gasherbrum peaks, was a constant reminder of the immense power of nature.
Reaching Gondogoro Pass was the pinnacle of the journey. Standing at an elevation of over 5,500 meters, the pass offered panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys, a memory that will stay with me forever. The sense of accomplishment and the breathtaking vistas made every challenging step worth it.

The staff is very helpful and respond to our inquiries in timely fashion. Their accommodation in Skardu is clean and very comfortable. It was a perfect stay in Skardu before and after your trip to K2 base camp. There is a restaurant and the food there is amazing too. Try the Mutton Quoma and their signature Summit Fried Noodles 👍🏻
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They are one of the first two travel agencies in Skardu and so they are very experienced and professional when giving advices to traveller. I will undoubtly recommend Trango to anyone who is interested in the K2 Base Camp Trek.

We had a great trip in August with Trango Adventures on their K2 and Gondogoro La trek. Everything was delivered exactly as described on their website. The food, in particular, was consistently excellent and abundant! (Some of the sleeping tents might have leaked in heavy rain.) Thanks to everyone who played their part: those who welcomed us in Islamabad and Skardu, the guide, the kitchen crew, the porter team and everyone. The scenery on the Baltoro and around Concordia is awesome. We particularly wanted to cross the Gondogoro La, so were very pleased the weather allowed this to happen. Be aware that crossing the pass needs good fitness and experience of descending steep and loose terrain.

Hi Jorge, sorry for the late answer. I believe the trek is still fine for this month. I don’t know if the Gondogoro pass will be still fine. I was lucky to cross it thanks to good weather conditions and to discover behind the hushe valley with villages and local people, very green fields added to a mountain background. A real « paradis » And gift after tough efforts. Don’t hesitate to contact Shahid one of the manager of Trango adventure to get more information By whatup. He is very kind and thoughtful. He will give you the best advice! Pakistan is really safe In those areas. Pakistani people are not used to seeing tourists so they remain so curious to know you. Add to that, this trek really worth to be done by the exceptional beauty of mountains and by his highest concentrations of glaciers ( after polar poles) . It is not by hazard that this trek is classified in the top 10 best treks in the word!! I don’t know if I was really helpful actually... I will try to post pictures of my trip to illustrate when finding more time.
