I had a great day w Byambaa who came to pick me up. He was on time and I was a few minutes late. I had planned what I wanted to do which included Narantuul Bazaar, Namdroling Monestary, Bogd Khann Palace museum and wrestling. I had ticket to wrestling at noon I had obtained that I told him about that morning and he accommodated it no problem. He was a great negotiator in the market for my purchases, explained much about Buddhist tradition and history snd explained some of the basics of Mongolian wrestling, suggested a fabulous Indian restaurant for lunch and even kept me out longer than the 8 hr day I paid for. He also recommended and took me to the best view at Zaisan Memorial on the hill top.

I had one day in Ulaanbaatar to explore, and had a list of things to see. If you want a pleasant personal experience this is it! Byambasuren picked me up at my hotel at 10am (I set the time) and I told him what I was interested in seeing. Amount of time at each place was all set by me. We even spent some time doing a little shopping...(which was great because he did some negotiating for me, and could explain what the salesperson was saying to me! I got an insiders view at the Gandan Temple, as he knew some of the monks there, and he was very good at explaining things. We also went to Bogd Khan Winter Palace, Zaisen monument (where I got to hold a beautiful golden eagle) saw the Golden Buddha and saw Ulaanbaatar from a very comfortable, immaculately clean car. He brought water for me, and even some nuts! A very lovely person to spend a day with, thoughtful and kind. He invited me for dumplings after we were done touring around town, but unfortunately I had a meeting to get to. I highly recommend this tour if you are looking for something custom, relaxed, and comfortable! Worth every penny!
