Airport in Vietnam needs improvement on immigration line - The wait is too long just checking the papework.
Vietnam’s airports, particularly those in major cities like Hanoi (Noi Bai International Airport), Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat International Airport), and Da Nang, have become increasingly busy in recent years, with the growth of both domestic and international flights. However, one significant issue that passengers often face is long waiting lines, which can be a source of frustration for both travelers and airport staff alike. These long queues, whether during check-in, security checks, or customs clearance, have raised concerns about the overall efficiency and passenger experience. Check-In and Security Queues: Passengers often find themselves standing in long lines at check-in counters and security checks. While the process itself is generally straightforward, the number of passengers combined with limited staff at peak times causes delays. This issue is compounded by the limited space and lack of adequate signage, which can confuse travelers and make them uncertain about which line to stand in. Immigration and Customs Lines: At international terminals, long waits at immigration counters and customs clearance are common. The process can take a considerable amount of time, especially during busy hours, leading to frustration for both tourists and business travelers. Limited counters, coupled with manual checks, contribute to these delays. The waiting should be short for both incoming and outgoing passengers at the Immigration and customs line as well as security line. Need training and more staffs service at the airport.

Tan Son Nhat airport arrival & transport to Ho Chi Minh City
We flew Vietnam Airlines (premium economy) to Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Son Nhat airport. Disembarkation is sometimes via a bridge or buses. I would suggest you walk quickly to immigration, where there will be a very long line. As there's no one, or signs at the top of the line to tell people to move off to the numerous queues, people often just do not move when they're at the front of the line. As immigration is done manually, expect to wait for 40-50 minutes. By the time you get to the luggage carousel, your luggage may have been taken off & left on the floor next to the carousel, particularly if you have priority luggage (business or premium economy). Outside the luggage area there will be people touting taxis, sim cards, etc. The correct fare for an airport taxi to the city is 350,000 VND (approx. 14 USD - pay in VND if you have the currency). Otherwise you can order a Grab in the middle section outside the airport for much less (approx. 140,000 VND) if you have downloaded the Grab app (similar to Uber). If you use the airport taxi, tip the driver generously. 350,000 VND is about 22 AUD, this fare pays for airport tax, the taxi company and the driver gets 60,000 VND for the trip (less than 4 AUD). As the trip can take up to an hour & the driver is not allowed to pick up a passenger back to the airport, he essentially earns less than 2 AUD an hour. Grab cars are individually owned so the driver can keep most of the fare.

All you need to get to destination in Saigon
As soon as I walked out saw an agent with a sign with my name. He walked us to a waiting car. The driver didn't speak English but handled the extreme Saigon rush hour traffic very well. We got to the hotel comfortably and safely.

          Quick tour
Guide was 20 minutes late and had different couple’s names for tour. Took 10 minutes to verify. We were not informed we’d be climbing over 300 steps to top of small temple. Also, not told to wear pants or long skirt to cover knees and something to cover shoulders at another temple and royal palace museum. Guide was knowledgeable and had good English. We rode in Land Rover.

          Positive experience.
The vehicle for transferring six passengers was excellent. The driver, although spoke very little English, was friendly and efficient. Met us on arrival. Very happy with the service.

Old vehicle - no AC or seatbelts
I booked a transfer with Indochine Charm Travel through Expedia. Driver was waiting for us at the airport but the van he picked us up in had seen better days. The AC was not working and even worse, all of the seatbelts were tucked under the seats and unavailable for use - a common situation in a lot of SE Asia countries. What really flipped me out, however, was that the driver had a seatbelt available which he promptly put on as we started our trip. I guess if you don't mind riding in a trashed out vehicle with no AC or crash restraints, this is the way to go. Even though I had paid for a roundtrip fare, the experience was so terrible, that I booked a ride back to the airport through the Intercontinental Saigon Hotel which provided a vastly superior vehicle.

          Fantastic operation!
Great experience, very professional driver. Customs was a zoo and he waited for us to clear through. He was ready with our names on a sign, highly visible once we walked through. Highly recommend.

On time and professional driver-comfortable clean car.
Driver was waiting outside the airport with a sign with our name. He was very professional, helpful, and a careful driver. So glad we chose this type of ride from the airport to the hotel. Taxis are hectic and the hotel pickup option was about 4 times the cost

          Great airport transfer.
Excellent service. We were met at the exit of the airport terminal by our very helpful and friendly driver in a lovely air conditioned car. He was easy to spot as he held up our name. The journey took about 20-25 minutes to our hotel. In fact we are booking them for the return journey! Thank you.

          Smooth transfer to our hotel
A smooth and easy experience. There was a sign when we got to the arrivals hall and we were taken to our air conditioned car. The driver was friendly and pleasant, pointing out any places of interest along the route to our hotel. We would highly recommend.

          Good pick up
Could contact in arrival because flight was early. Easy to contact them, answered directly and told us where our driver would meet us which saved time.
