Nice trip for a day out.
Punctual collection and nice journey along coast to Lady Buddah and temple. Lovely gardens and statues and thezLady Buddah is magnificent. Onward to Narbke Mountains where you start in a lovely cave followed by walk up to top. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are hundreds of steps.

I'm thrilled to share our incredible experience during a one-day cruise in Halong Bay with my family and friends
My day cruise to the Perfume Pagoda in Vietnam was a captivating journey that seamlessly blended culture, history, and natural beauty. The transportation provided was reliable and comfortable, setting a positive tone for the day. The Perfume Pagoda itself was a marvel, rich in history and cultural significance. Exploring the sacred caves and pagodas amidst the stunning landscape was a truly immersive experience. The cruise allowed for a unique perspective, enhancing our understanding of the area's deep-rooted traditions. The on-board cuisine was a delightful surprise, offering a variety of delicious and locally-inspired dishes. The combination of good food, comfortable transport, and the richness of Vietnamese culture made this day cruise an unforgettable adventure. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty.

Not amazing - don’t book the Amazing Sails trip with Viator
I was keen to visit Halong Bay, but had read many reviews about the main sites being overcrowded with tourists. After a lot of research, I chose Amazing Sails because they offered “ Visit both Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay in 7 hours of cruising on the longest, quietest, and most unique route that bypasses all tourist attractions. I also wanted to go on the wooden boat with sails advertised in the pictures, with a ‘cozy and luxurious atmosphere’ and day available. I paid a premium for this trip, which I booked through Viator. I did not got the trip I paid for. Viator subcontracted the booking to another firm who took us on a trip on standard tourist boats without sails or cabins. We sailed with Dream Cruise rather than Amazing Sails. The route was the standard, over-crowded tourist circuit and not at all relaxing. Lunch was served as soon as we boarded and we were sitting in the middle of the boat without any view of the bay. After lunch we disembarked at Ti Top Island. I joined a long line of tourists climbing up the hill. At the top of the hill, there were so many people it was difficult to see the view. I spent 5 minutes at the top and then joined the long line of people climbing back down the steps. At the bottom I had just enough time to go to the toilet and then needed to be back on the boat again. After ten minutes more sailing we disembarked to see Sung Sot cave. Although this is an amazing cave, walking through as part of a conveyor belt of tourists, being shouted at to keep moving when trying to wait 3 seconds for a photo to take in the dark, was not my idea of fun. By the time we got back into daylight, we had to get straight back onto the boat. Another 10 minute sail and we disembarked again to either canoe or be rowed for 10 minutes around a lagoon. We then had about 45 minutes sailing back to Halong, before the 2 1/2 hour journey back to Hanoi. This trip was everything I was hoping to avoid. I could have booked this trip for half the price Viator charged me for the Amazing Sails trip. I’ve given 2 stars to recognise that Halong Bay is beautiful and also that the guide on our trip worked really hard all day long to make sure the complex plans worked smoothly. There must be better ways to appreciate such a lovely environment.

      Overall good experience
Overall a nice trip. Good communication from start, all the guides were great. The Starlight boat was nice, old fasioned but clean. The food was ok, nothing special. The cave was a tourist magnet and it lost a bit of its charm because of that. Cat ba was beautiful and definitly worth a visit. We decided to upgrade our room right before arrival and got an instant reply and it was no problem. Changed from Cat Ba Papillon to Flamingo and it was a good choice. The «trek» in the national park were more of a hike up a mountain, though, but the view from the top was amazing.

      Great day, smooth organization
Thank you for the great day. It exceeded our expectations even. The caves were both very impressive and it was organized all very smoothly. All in a timely manner, without feeling rushed. We appreciated the tasty vegetarian food that was specially arranged for us. 👌 👍

      Don’t miss this great adventure.
We started at Monkey Mountains and were delayed as a couple monkeys crossed in front of our van as we headed to the top. The Lady Buddha was really an amazing sight with the green background. The Marble Mountains and caves was a fantastic adventure. The caves were very large filled with amazing works of art. We are so glad we booked this great trip.

      Private Cruise with Amazing Sails
We did a lot of debate whether a private cruise was worth it. We really enjoyed the day. They spoiled us from pick up to drop off. Alex (Vuong sp?) was our guide but all of the employees were incredibly accomodating. I had read bad things about the crowds and trash in Ha Long Bay. Amazing Sails missed all of this. We are very glad we did the private cruise with Amazing Sails.

Luang Prabang City tour/ Mekong river boat to Pak ou cave / Weavers village
“Local laos adventures tour” was booked through my hotel. Anong was punctual and so lovely to spend the day with. He was well spoken and very informative & I never felt rushed. He had a warm & funny personality. Very easy to talk to. I loved his folklore stories about Luang Prabang. Learnt so much about Laos as well. He timed it so I saw the sunset from the longboat upon returning to the pier. What a memorable day!

      Spectacular Cave
Really spectacular cave and not one to miss. Only do 1km of it though and it is possible to do more on other trips but it is an amazing 1km.
