About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- V1258STthomass0 contributionsNoravank, Tatev, and KhndzoreskMe and my parents got to see very beautiful landscapes not only at the destinations, but also along almost the entire road (except for where it was foggy). Our guide, Meline, was very knowledgeable and our driver, Szaven, was able to maintain focus and drive safely for the whole trio despite this being a very tiring day for him (there were about 9 hours of driving).Written October 13, 2024
- Z4700MZmarks0 contributionsExcellent all round serviceWe did three tours in total, two group tours and one private tour (in truth, more of a one way taxi service from Yerevan to Borjomi in Georgia). The first two were very good but the last one was outstanding, almost entirely thanks to our driver Norik, who is one of the kindest and sweetest natured people I have ever met. And an excellent driver too. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Hyur Service again if we ever visit Armenia again, which we hope we will, as it’s an amazing country full of delightful and very hospitable people.Written October 13, 2024

- 253julijas0 contributionsVery comfortable tourAmazing tour, comfortable length (6h), picturesque views. No addtional fees, unless you want to grab a fresh gata pie or candles at the monastery, but that's definitely on you:) Would recommend having 5-10k AMD for treats. Many thanks to our guide Armine!Written October 12, 2024
- Tourist435514525640 contributionsGREAT TOUR GUIDE!!!I gave it 4/5 because of the problem with the LUNCH SERVICE (I’ll explain later). So we took this private tour to TSAGHKADZOR, ROPEWAY, LAKE SEVAN, SEVANAVANK, DILIJAN, HAGHARTSIN, GOSHAVANK. I hope I got all of it right! Our driver for the second time was Hovik (great personailty and a fantastic driver) and our tour guide this time was Nazeli (Naz). Naz was incrediable. After a while we asked her how long she had been giving tours and it was just for a couple of weeks. However, she knew so much for we found out that she used to be a journalist. So, she was full of information. She was an excellent guide to be with. This was our 4th and last tour of Armenia and our 2nd private tour. We had done 4 tours in 7 days. We had very little down time, but it truly gave us a chance to see so much of Yerevan. Lake Sevan was breath taking. Now, just something that might help others…when we signed up for the trip, nowhere did we see how to choose our lunch for the day. We did not know we had an option. Naz told us that when we signed up for the trip, we were to write in (somewhere?) what we wanted to eat for lunch. However, no options were given. So, we got to Lake Sevan and we had a private room to eat lunch in which was great (outside of the flys that made it in). BUT, we were given BBQ (BURNT) fish with so many bones you could not count them. I personally gave up after a couple of bites. My husband and brother, tried as best they could to eat around the BURNT pieces. Naz brought the Hostess/ Chef? to me and asked if I would eat pork or some other meat dish, but it would take 20 min or 10 min. (I thought if they are rushing, it may not be fully cooked), so I declined and I said I would eat the salads. Well, I then go to eat the eggplant salad, and low and behold, I pull out a gray hair from my mouth. I’m a brunett, so….Let’s just say, lunch for me was very unappetizing. Hyur Service needs to be better about letting people know what the food options are ahead of time, and see if they can’t change who they partner with food-wise at Lake Sevan. We were all disappointed with what we were given to eat. It was good we had snacks with us, because it was a very long day. Hovik was kind enough (on our way back) to ask if we needed to stop and pick up anything to eat or use facilities before the long trek back. The Ropeway was great to do and the colors of autumn were just coming out. Dilijan was a little disappointing. The town reminded me of Idyllid, CA. And I wanted to stay there longer, but the street that Naz planned to take us down was closed off. :(. So, we did not see as much of it as we could have. All in all, it was a very disappointing lunch, but a most EXCELLENT tour. Kudos to Naz and Hovik for making our day extra special. <3 N.R.Written October 11, 2024

- Tourist435514525640 contributionsA FANTASTIC TRIP AWAITS YOU!Today (Fri, OCT 4, 2024) we had a PRIVATE TOUR of GARNI TEMPLE, Geghard Mon., Symphony of Stones and watched a Lavash Master Class. Our driver was most excellent and his name was Hovik. He could and did navigate the bustling streets brilliantly! He was most kind to us as well! Our private tour guide was Michael. He knew so much about each place we went to and had a great sense of humor. He has actually been the best guide we have had so far. We have one more tour tomorrow. GARNI Temple was a pretty amazing site to see. Michael explained to us in detail about this temple. The landscape around GARNI (in and through the area) is breathtaking. Michael was able to share with us his knowledge of the beginnings of Armenia as a country and the major significance of Christianity in Armenian life. Side note, we were able to taste a most excellent Armenian dessert called GATA. I used to eat it as a child in Los Angeles. It took me back to my childhood. Our driver said that Garni makes the BEST Gata and he was soooo right. It was freshly baked and delicious! We went to the SYMPHONY STONES!!! Oh my land! The pics you may see does not do it justice. It was an incredible sight to see. We are so glad we went there! We ate lunch at the place where the Lavash making master class was being held. Two women were making lavash ( Armenia’s bread) and they have been doing it for over 24 years. It was delicious. We were able to make sandwiches after the lavash was made. Then we had a delicious lunch (BBQ CHICKEN, eggplant salad, etc). After that, we went to the Geghard Monastery. The beginning of the build of this monastery was in the 4th century and it took years to finish. It was built in the rock. Words really can’t describe the feeling you get when you walk into a place that is so historic and has such spiritual significance. It touches the soul. We (there were three of us) all enjoyed our time together and we all had a great time with our guide, Michael and our driver, Hovik. Tomorrow we go on our last tour and I hope we enjoy tomorrow just as much as today. Thank you Hyur! N.R.Written October 11, 2024
- 100antonyi0 contributionsWell organised and good tourThe tour was very well organised and followed the schedule. Tour started at 10am and returned at 1930. Our driver Partak was safe and very pleasant. The bus was a 50 seater and we had 46 people, which was probably too many for 1 guide and perhaps better to split into 2 groups with so many people. Our guide Marina was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. The trip was good value and I can definitely recommend this Company.Written October 11, 2024
- OnAir313576079610 contributionsArmeniaThe guide name Michael and driver was David, I had such an incredible experience from the time I was picked up at reception to all the beautiful scenery, landscapes and monuments, Micheal gave me such a detailed history and explanation about everything we saw even including the inscriptions. What an absolutely beautiful day on this tour. Micheal and David gave me all the time I wanted to take in the beauty of all the tour sites included and even assisted me with taking breathtaking pictures. Thank you so much I am forever grateful for this amazing and memorable opportunity to see the beauty of Armenia. :)Written October 10, 2024
- leonardosV8578UK0 contributionsGreat apartmentsWe booked a Hyur apartment for a weekend. The apartment was in a great location, close to Republic Square. It was impeccably clean, and Hyur provided excellent service with a high degree of flexibility for check-in.Written October 10, 2024
- ryankQ641CF0 contributionsLake Sevan, Monestary, and Cheese! We did a private tour with guide Anna and driver Avit and it was amazing. The private tour is much more personal and on your own time and speed. Both were very personable and professional. Anna was extremely knowledgeable and not once could we stump her. It was great to hear more about the ancient history of this country - the symbols, meanings, and churches. We were able to enjoy a cheese tasting from a local family farm, and as cheese lovers it was just perfect. The tour finished with wonderful views of lake sevan and a delicious meal before heading back to Yerevan. This trip did not disappoint. Would highly recommend the private tour, and would high recommend asking for Anna and Avid! Cheers!Written October 10, 2024

We are stuck here in Yerevan due to the pandemic and the only joy we could afford was going on tour through Hyur. Actually it was so nice there was an individual option cause we think it's not safe at all to travel with many other people. So we went to nice churches close to Yerevan with beautiful nature surrounded. Trip lasted like 5hours. Totally recommended for the professional driver and safe ride.
