In May 2019 I contacted Zaven and he organized a 15 day tour of Armenia and Georgia for September 2019. We transferred him a $300 deposit. Unfortunately, my wife fell ill and we had to cancel the trip, but Zaven promised that he would do the trip with us at any later date, keeping the deposit. I reached out to him several months ago and we were in regular contact through emails and numerous Whatsapp voice messages, planning the itinerary in detail for a trip in September 2022. Since he would be the tour guide on the trip - not driving, - he had to hire a driver and requested an additional deposit of $500. That seemed reasonable and I transferred it to him a couple of months ago - never once thinking that perhaps Zaven is not a legitimate tour guide. He had many suggestions regarding the itinerary of the trip, hotel suggestions, etc. right up to the day before we flew to Tbilisi. We arrived to Tbilisi early morning September 4th. All attempts at contacting him failed - I tried calling him, sent emails and many Whatsapp messages. In short, he disappeared and I haven't heard from since! We ended up ordering day-long tours on Trip Advisor. In the end we had a fine trip. There are two possibilities: 1) He was seriously injured perhaps in a car accident, or worse died – I sincerely hope not! 2) He is a swindler and stole our $800. If possibility #2 is correct, keep away from this crook. See photo.

High qualified guide . Everything was perfect i didn't expect that it can be such an experience for me in Armenia . It was more activities than in itinerary so every time i was getting more surprises . It help to know the country with this guide. I am attending to come again in spring so i will take a full package. And for sure i will suggest my friends to come to Armenia .
