The private tour is much more personal and on your own time and speed. Both were very personable and professional. Anna was extremely knowledgeable and not once could we stump her. It was great to hear more about the ancient history of this country - the symbols, meanings, and churches. We were able to enjoy a cheese tasting from a local family farm, and as cheese lovers it was just perfect. The tour finished with wonderful views of lake sevan and a delicious meal before heading back to Yerevan. This trip did not disappoint. Unbelievably Hyur Service allowed me to book this trip on a Monday even though Zvartnots Temple is closed every Monday. Also, be sure to click on and read the "see details and photos" section for each attraction as Echmiadzin Cathedral can only be viewed from the outside but this information isn't listed on the main page of the tour information.
I was initially offered a 50% refund but after firmly clarifying that my whole reason for booking the tour was to visit Zvartnots they agreed to a full refund. I was still unimpressed that due to their lack of professionalism I had wasted half a day as I now needed to reschedule another visit. Probably in the hope that I wouldn't write an honest review they then offered to take me back to the temple the next day without charge. Their resolution was fair, but an honest review is still helpful to other travellers.
Another point to note is that when I was given my refund in cash I was handed 15,000 AMD and told here is your full refund. I had paid 17,222 as quoted on Trip Advisor, so although Trip Advisor guarantees no booking fees it seems that Hyur Service does add a fee.

The matter is, that despite the fact that Zvartnots is officially closed on Monday, due to the reason of having large flows of tourists, we have made a special agreement with the management of Zvartnots that they always keep it open for our guests. We have had tours to Zvartnots every Monday and that is the reason why your reservation was accepted and we arranged your tour to Zvartnots.
This Monday on January 27, it wasn't possible to have Zvartnots open due to an unexpected accident with the duty employee who was responsible to open the doors for us.
We fully understand that it was not your fault at all, that is why we offered you to replace Zvartnots with other site or to refund you half price of the tour as the service wasn't fully provided. When you told us that your main reason of travelling was particularly Zvartnots, we considered fair to fully refund you the amount and to offer you to arrange the tour on the next day complimentary, as a compensation.
According to our records the amount at 16.670 AMD was refunded to you which is equal to 35$ paid for this trip via Tripadvisor.
Our most important mission is to make people happy with our services presenting our Motherland.
Please once again accept our sincere apologies for that unpleasant situation.

We cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Edward was a fantastic guide and Norik was a smooth driver to our destinations. Edward provided detailed information in a friendly and accessible manner, not just about each site but also about other sites we passed on the way. We learned so much about the history of Armenia and were taken to and from the hotel, quickly and comfortably. If you want to experience early Armenian history through exploring key sites with excellent guides, we really recommend you book this tour.

Beautiful day spent discovering the treasures of medieval Armenia! Our Guide Liana was very good and it was a real pleasure to spend a day listening to her stories. Our driver Hamik was precise and punctual and this allowed us to visit many historical and artistic sites without problems.

Thanks to Huyr Services for organizing our trip to Armenia.
We had Mélanie as our guide, a huge thank you for her kindness, her smile and her sympathy!!
Of Armenian origin, there were 9 of us traveling as a family and they took care of everything, from van transportation, guided tours, choice of restaurant during excursions, everything was turnkey.
The guided tours are excellent, nothing to say, thank you very much to Mélanie who was our guide. She was perfect from A to Z, we feel that she loves her job and her country which she wants to introduce to tourists.
We made the excursions to Echmiadzin, Garni and Geghard as well as Noravank.
It was a great pleasure for us to discover our country, and being accompanied allowed us to learn more about the history, ancient customs as well as good tips, especially in Yerevan.

The taxi driver arrived on time at the agreed meeting point, spoke fluent English and was very friendly. The vehicle was clean, robust and air conditioned. In the hot temperatures I was even offered water. Although it was not a guided tour, the taxi driver was happy to answer my questions. Thanks to his local knowledge, we were able to drive about half an hour ahead of the tourist flow. I could fully enjoy the trip. Booking with Hyur Service I can only recommend.

I really enjoyed this tour and seeing many of the important Christian sights of Armenia. I also really enjoyed the driver, Levon. He was punctual, friendly, informative, and made sure to go the extra mile when it came to making the tour comfortable for me. I highly recommend this tour.

My family and I had an amazing time in Armenia. The country is incredibly beautiful and has so much to offer. I have never felt safer in any other country I have visited. We went on four daily excursions with the tour company Hyur, and we were impressed with their organization, care, and the knowledge of their guides. The vehicles they use are clean and reliable, and they provide unlimited water and snacks. I want to give a special shoutout to Rosa, our tour guide. She made our day incredibly special, and we learned so much from her about the history of Armenia and the Armenian culture. Levon, our driver, was also super polite, and we felt very safe in his car.
Everyone should visit Armenia at least once in their lifetime and learn about the Nation that was the first to accept Christianity in 301 AD.

Such a great experience. Easy to book. Our tour guide Arev was the perfect mix of knowledge and leisure. She gave us great information without overloading or hurrying us. Our driver Harut was just as great, letting us go at our own pace and ensuring comfort. Highly recommend!!

Mrs Hamas was very informative, gracious, lovely and explained in detail. She also was very patient explaining things to us. Our driver Mr Gigik too was very helpful and seemed like a father figure . The vechicle too was clean and spacious. Hamas has great love towards her country's. Highly Recomend the team if you want to enjoy Armenia to the full.
