Nha Trang City & Countryside Tour.
I booked this tour privately online 6 months prior to the Majestic Princess Cruise Ship visit to Nha Trang on 2nd September 2019, on the recommendation of other cruisecritic clients who had used this company before. Unfortunately, because our cruise ship was too large to dock, we had to tender into port, and this took up valuable time out of our day in Nha trang, but we managed to get an early tender, and so our day in Nha Trang began. It was extremely easy to find our tour guide named "An" just outside the port gates. In very well maintained airconditioned 16 seater vans we visited the 68-metre-tall standing Buddha, the Pagoda Orphanage, watched locals weaving mats, went to a factory to watch rice paper being made into noodles, visited the Dam Market and we took a local boat ride on the Cai river, filled with an enormous amount of rubbish and lots of other things. Disembarked the boat, and went to local riverside restaurant for a delightful Vietnamese lunch, and several banana shakes to drink. Continued on to a conical hat making place. Finished off the tour at an embroidery factory. An excellent tour, by tour guide An. After a delightful day we were back on board by 4 p.m. Pham tours delivers all it advertises, and well worth using them for your tours in Vietnam.

Real Deal Off the Beaten Path Tour
This is the real deal for experiencing this part of the country's beauty, people, and food. A short ride to a wooden boat where we cruised up the beautiful and interesting Cai River to connect with a tri-wheel taxi (more like open-air cart which was fun) stopping to see birds of all types and then to the Loc Tho pagoda and neighboring school for disadvantaged children who seem happy and well cared for. Then to see sedge weaving with beautiful mats of different sizes (available for purchase at very reasonable prices). Then on to lunch at Chopsticks on the river for wonderful chicken, mackerel, shrimp and mixed dishes where we enjoyed talking with the owner. Then return river trip and visit to the Hindu Ponagar temple, and then tea back in town. All along the way Pham gave interesting summaries and insights into what we were seeing. This is the real deal, off the beaten path, where you also feel totally comfortable with Pham as guide.

Cai River Cruise with Pham Tours
We had a relaxing and informative tour on the Cai river with Huy who was our guide. It was a rainy day but we still had fun and saw a lot of the countryside near Nha Trang. We visited a private pagoda which also housed a children’s orphanage. This was a wonderful experience to see all the children who were so happy and friendly. We visited a family mat making business and had a peaceful lunch by the river. The tour ended with a visit to the Po Nagar temple which was fascinating history. Huy was friendly, informative and a caring guide. Thank you to Pham Tours and Huy for a great tour! Bruce and Dieu (Australia).

Beautiful waterfalls and a great hike
We got picked up at our hotel and drove the scenic view of Nha Trang and Ninh bay. Stopped at a local fishing market and saw the locals at their finest. Arrived at Ho Ba and went for a light hike which was great because we had three young kids with us. Ho Ba and the waterfalls were amazing. We were able to jump into the lake and swim around with the fishes. Finally we had a great lunch at a local restaurant eating a seafood cusine. We had a really good time and some good food. Also our guide Mr Duc was really kind, relaxed and really informative.

Great day trip
We booked this excursion with some of the people that we met on Cruise Critic. There were 10 of us all together with our guide Mr. Huy. It was a busy day with a lot of stops and definitely the way to go versus a big bus tour. We stopped at an orphanage, rice making, hat making, embroidery, Buddha statue, had lunch at a local restaurant and a really nice river cruise at the end. Great company to do business with - would recommend them.

Personalised and enjoyable
A well-paced trip for a warm afternoon. Mr Huy was an attentive guide as we visited the Hindu temple, pagoda and mat-weaving stop. The river cruise was undoubtedly the highlight, beautiful scenery away from city life and a tasty meal at Chopsticks restaurant. Well-organised and recommended.

Excellent Tour
We booked a tour of the countryside by car as I had a small child and she wasn’t keen to do much walking. Pham (our tour guide) was perfectly on time, hilarious and very knowledgeable! The car was very comfortable and the places we visited so memorable. The lunch we were taken to catered especially for our child and was delicious... we also loved that they made straws out of rice that you could eat to cut back on waste! I would highly recommend using Pham Tours and I would definitely book them again!

Great tour of Nha Trang
This tour was excellent it included an embroidery shop where we could see the ladies working and also had the chance to purchase finished items. It also included a boat ride down the river and orphanage and school and then a visit to the markets and a fantastic lunch was included. Great guide who spoke fluent English and great value for money, would highly recommend this tour. We did this tour in November 2017.

Nha Trang Countryside Tour plus a river cruise and orphanage
Jenny and I were on a tour with a group of 10 cruise ship passengers. This excursion was organised through associations on Cruise Critic. All in our party had a great day out and a hilarious one at that. Danny was a great guide and his sense of humour shone through. We fitted a surprisingly large amount into the 5 or so hours that the trip lasted, although I never felt rushed. With the tour not being a "cruise booked" excursion, it can be a worry, as you don't know how professional the operator really is. Rest at ease with Pham. A good part of the tour was in a very comfortable van with an excellent driver. The tour was extremely enlightening providing an informative insight into the local culture and its people. With visits to mat weaving, straw hat making and rice paper making demonstrations along the way. Be advised that if you buy any of the lovely works from these people, you can bring them back into Australia, as long as you declare them, we did. Danny, our guide was excellent with his local knowledge and answered any questions asked with enthusiasm. Just wait til you meet his uncle, quite an inspiring man. Highlight of the tour for me was the visit to the orphanage which left us all feeling really good inside to see the great work that is being done with the orphans and the poorer children of the area. Again, Danny had a personal connection here. We had a great lunch at a riverside restaurant with Pham, with more food and beer than you could eat or drink. Finished off with a half hour river cruise which gives you another perspective of the life in the area, before the opportunity to do some shopping. The tour is terrific value for money, and I would highly recommend Pham Tours and this Tour in particular if you only have a day. We will be repeat customers on our next trip to Vietnam for sure.

Nha Trang, this place is no longer a 3rd world city, WOW!!!
Pham's tour guides (there were a bunch of us) was awaiting us just outside the port gates at Nha Trang. We were off immediately. Heng was our tour leader. His English was quite good. First to a Buddhist Temple & Orphanage. Impressive temple but more impressive children. From there to a neighborhood when 2 ladies were making sleeping mats, just as their ancestors had for 100's of years. Thereafter we went to the river and loaded into a small boat for a ride upstream. Beautiful scenery. Then lunch at a private restaurant overlooking the river. Then we saw the Giant Buddha (120’ tall) From there we went to two private home. In one they were making rice noodles and the other “coolie” hats. On the way back to the ship we did q quick stop at a Hindu Temple, a bit of shopping and back to the boat. An amazing day. Pham’s Tours were both excellent an dinclusive. What a value. They covered all the bases!!!.
