Receive a morning pickup from your hotel in Nha Trang and transfer to a local boat pier where you’ll begin your cruise aboard comfortable and safe converted fishing boat.
Kick back and relax as you sail the turquoise-shaded waters of the South China Sea, heading for a collection of islands that harbor a community of traditional fishing villages. You’ll be ferried from your vessel to the island aboard a “coracle” (round fishing boat) piloted by some of the village’s children. Once on-shore, you’ll have time to discover the village or snorkel or swim in the island’s secluded bays. You’ll finish your island visit by enjoying an included lunch of fresh seafood.
Head back to the mainland after lunch and transfer to an air-conditioned vehicle to begin the second half of your Nha Trang exploration. Proceed to the Long Son Pagoda, a 19th-century Buddhist complex adorned with dragon mosaics and colorful ceramic tile work. More energetic guests are welcome to climb the pagoda’s 152 steps to enjoy great city views and admire the 46-foot (14-meter) tall statue of a white Buddha seated atop a lotus blossom.
Continue the trip by visiting Nha Trang’s Po Nagar Cham Towers. These dramatic monuments, which were built some time between the 7th and 12th centuries, continue to play an important role in the religious life of local Buddhists and the city’s Cham community.
Finish your Nha Trang excursion by visiting the Dam Market, a thriving trading center where a dazzling array of local produce and food is bought and sold. Marvel at items like fresh fish, vegetables, tropical fruit, and local specialty items like dried lizards and seahorses. After your market visit you’ll be dropped off at your hotel at 4pm.
