    Welcome to the real world…
Excellent & taylor made tour for our family of 4: picked up on time at 9:00 AM. During the 2 hour drive we have already learned a lot about the history as well as about the current life in Vietnam. Very authentic. Driver was careful and car comfortable. Water and a sandwich included. We could spend enough time at the spots with plenty (even personal) stories from our guide Mr. Ling. He went with us a long way in the tunnels himself, while other tour guides were just waiting above ground, as we could see. This is anyway the most impressive part we have done in Vietnam. Depressing to realize, how people suffered that times due to the decisions of some politicians who are sitting far away in comfortable airconditioned rooms with tea & cookies. The tour took 7 hours, because our family was pretty slow in watching all the Photographs in the museums, but the guide was very patient. In the end we left a phone in the car and Mr. Ling came back, waiting another hour for us to personally hand it over. Thank you so much! If someone is interested to understand Vietnamese culture and mindset, this tour is highly recommended.

Our tour guide pham giap was amazing and knew a lot of information. The 2 students who joined us was lovely as well. The views was breathtaking and one of the best parts of my vietnam trip. Highly recommend! Warning ⚠️ the 600+ steps to the waterfall is hard. This part of the track requires fitness and puts pressure on muscles and joints cause of the steepness. If unsure I would not attempt this part of the track only people who know there capabilities can do this! However to get to the swimming holes and waterfalls is not very difficult. There is obstacles and packing light is the way to go. There are steep ladders and rock hopping, but overall a fun challenging hike! 🇦🇺

    Amazing day!
Ngoc was our guide. We had a great day with him and we were lucky enough to be the only two on the tour! The scenery was incredible, and the packed lunch and water was a nice personal touch. We trekked past 5 waterfalls and swam in one. The walk was quicker than expected, but probably because there were only two of us. I recommend nothing less than trainers, hiking shoes are probably best but we were both fine in trainers. Swim wear is a must- but be prepared to change in natures changing room! Bug repellent will be a good addition too. We did the hardest route, and I would say it was very reasonable, at a nice pace- just watch your footing! Otherwise not too challenging for us. Other reviews recommend spare socks for the stream. We didn't find this to be necessary, however it had not rained recently. Ngoc knew lots about the trail, we enjoyed learning about the park and benefitted from his great English! The weather was great and the scenery is stunning. Highly recommend, and I think the price is really reasonable for what you get. Just be prepared for the drive to the top if you get travel sickness easily- the road is very windy!

    Beautiful experience
The trip was enjoyable with beautiful scenery. The trek was harder than expected with steep (and slippery) slopes. Do wear proper shoes - I wore sports shoes. The hike to the five lakes was harder because there weren’t stairs and road. The hike to the waterfall was more manageable with paved walkway. Luckily the weather was good so there were no leeches. Remember to bring swimwear to swim in lake 3! Lunch was simple but delicious and had a good view (on top of the waterfall). Bring along insect repellent too!

A great experience for history lovers
We had a great time travelling through all the key landmarks and areas of historical importance. Our guide was also very trained in navigating the tunnels and knew exactly where to go while also giving us breaks to stretch out as they are quite tight! Overall a great experience for history lovers

Excellent day out in the beautiful forest.
Such a great day out. The Bach Ma mountain was full of surprises and the cooler air and lush green a welcome reprieve from the world below. This mountain has a rich history and is being wonderfully cared for to regenerate by the National Park staff. We were picked up by our very kind driver Mr Son and met at the park by a great guide Mr Quang who took very good care of us and even made tea for with the provided picnic lunch at the top of the magnificent rhododendron waterfall. We went from Hue to Bach Ma onto Hoi An via the Hai Bai Pass.

    Incredible
Our guide Thuy was amazing, very professional yet friendly. She answered every single question we asked. The park is stunning and the jungle music indescribable. My highlight was swimming in the lake by the waterfall. Highly recommend if you like to trek.

    Wow- what a great day!
What a great day! This has been the highlight of our trip so far. Excellent guide, very patient, knowledgeable and concerned for our safety. The descent to the base of the waterfall was very steep- the ascent back was intense. Don’t underestimate it, but we’ll worth the effort. Swimming in the waterhole was superb. Didn’t walk far in distance overall, but it was a great energetic adventure.

    Absolutely worth it and unforgetable
It was so awesome! Our Guide Thuy was really awesome! She explained a Lot And you Just knew that she loves her Job And this Park. We were in a small Group of 4 people, which was great because we could Look after each other and still had that incredible Feeling of being alone in the wilderness. We have seen and whitnessed so many different parts of the Nationalpark - and especially the trail down the 5 lakes was just magnificant. I would absolutely do it again but maybe i would Miss Out on the steps Up And down the waterfall because i feel i'm not fit enough. It should also be said, that Thuy took a Lot of Fotos And videos and sent them to us later so we could really focus on the trail. Read what is said in the description of this Activity and you will have everything you need.

    Helpful guide and wonderful scenery
The guide is funny and very helpful. The full program for the day is worth the money as the distances are too long to see the nicest things all on foot (5 lakes, waterfall, summit). Lunch is also nice and plenty of food! Really recommend going, it’s been a highlight of our trip.

    Amazing Experience
It was a truly memorable and unique experience. We were literally ‘carried’ around by cyclos rode by friendly gentlemen. We were brought to carefully selected restaurants/hawkers that serve their respective best fare. The experience of mingling with the locals and at times sitting on stools to eat without a table was so nostalgic and heartwarming. It was truly an amazing and memirable experience.

The experience gained from trekking in Bach Ma mountains is very valuable and memorable. The staff in Travel Connect was very experienced and helpful. They are able to communicate in English. It was a good ride in cyclo to go round Hue to eat various Vietnamese food. The various food tasted superb...

    Wonderfull trip
In my country, there are not too many places to climb, so I chose this trip. Enjoy the fresh air, birdsong and murmuring streams. The spring water is quite cold so it is not possible to swim for too long. The tour guide is very enthusiastic, a great trip

I highly recommend the DMZ Tour Hue for anyone visiting Vietnam. Although we initially considered doing the tour ourselves, we realized that the distances covered were huge, and it was much more convenient to take the tour instead. Our main objective was to visit the tunnels, but we were pleasantly surprised by the other stops along the way, such as the military base and the DMZ bridge. This was largely due to our amazing tour guide, who provided insightful commentary throughout the tour. In fact, he was the most active tour guide we encountered during our trip to Vietnam, and he didn't just talk about the sites we visited, but also shared a wealth of information about the history and culture of Vietnam in general.

However, the only downside was the transportation. The van used for the tour was quite small and cramped, which may be uncomfortable for taller or larger people. Considering the amount of foreign tourists for which it is primarily meant, it would be great to have more leg space and shoulder space. Despite this, the combination of great places and an excellent guide made for a truly unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a comprehensive tour that covers a lot of ground, I can't recommend the DMZ Tour Hue enough. Don't waste your time trying to do it on your own - take the tour and enjoy every moment!

From the entire trip only Vinh Moc Tunnels were interesting and worth of seeing. I have a feeling that all rest points of itinerary were there only in order to justify high price of the entire trip. Museums were poorly maintained, often there was no english description. Exhibitions were repeating itself, and all of them can be seen in War Museum in Sajgon. Even all tanks and helikopters (except from C140) gathered in Khe Sath (former US base) are also available in museum in Sajgon.

Did this tour as a quick way to see the dmz tour. Vehicle was comfortable and the driver was efficient. Booking office was super friendly and efficient. My concern was that the tour seemed rush and there wasn’t always a lot of information shared or time to read what was provided at the sites. Tour guide wasn’t always able to answer questions when I asked. So I found myself consulting my rough guide and googling on the internet to get info. If you do the tour, I would push the agency to provide more info on the background on the tour guide, as some other reviews do suggest that some of the guides are quite good.

Would also note, there is a lot of driving / downtime for this tour.

Not the highlight of my trip to Hué but was an ok way to see the dmz area fairly quickly.

Superb day out. I am very much into my history of the Vietnam war and this trip added so much value. It’s a long day but regular stops at interesting places made it very manageable in a comfy minivan. Tour guide spoke great English and was very informative

I have just spent a fascinating day with An and Mr. Baou as they drove me around the various sites associated with the chaos of the Vietnam war. From the moment we set off, An was engaging and informative as we discussed various aspects of the war, and was always willing to answer any questions I had. We visited a number of sites that revealed the attrocities of what took place in Vietnam from the citadel to the U.S. army base, where you can also drink some glorious locally produced coffee. There are so many history lessons within this tour, and after lunch we embarked on a walk through the DMZ and across the bridge that united N/S Vietnam. This was undoubtedly a highlight as An and myself discussed the surrounding area. But, as An said himself, the best was saved for last, the Vinh Moc tunnels which are an outstanding example of human endeavors and the realization of what people have had to suffer. The tunnels are something to behold, and An takes the lead in leading you through the various levels. If you are scared of the dark, don't turn off your light. All in all, this is a tour that will live long in my memory, both in its revelatory nature and An himself. Thank you.

We took the DMZ Tour and the vinh moc tunnels were the highlight of the tour. Liem the guide and Son the driver were excellent; we even had a flat tire and Son swapped out the tire in less than 20 mins. Liem was highly knowledgeable with Vietnamese history and was nice to hear both accounts of the history told by the Americans and Vietnamese. Try to be open with the accounts as the war is still very fresh in their minds. However if you are here to check out tanks / military equipment, there are other alternatives in Hanoi military museum that would be more worth your time, as the drive from Hue to Khe Sanh is quite long (2.5 hours non stop).

Our guide was so knowledgeable and it is obvious he was passionate about the subject. He had a great sense of humor too.

Our driver was very good. Some of the roads can be stressful with winding roads and heavy traffic but he did a great job dealing with it. The car was comfortable, and we were lucky that there was only one other person on the tour with us so it was extra comfortable.

These are really interesting places to visit and our guide made sure we had plenty of time to explore on our own after he had talked us through the history of each place. Some really special moments too.

Highly recommend!

I am traveling alone and had been renting a motorbike to do some small day trips in other parts of Vietnam. I really wanted to do the DMZ but it seemed a bit daunting from Hue by motorbike. I found this tour online and it was perfect!

My tour guide Loc was really friendly and personable. He and his family had some connections to the war, and he seemed genuinely excited to show off this part of Vietnam and its history.

Loc and a driver picked me up in Hue and then we pretty much crisscrossed the country (sideways) touring some of the major Vietnam war sites. I didn’t remember a lot of them from history class, so I occasionally augmented the tour with some Wikipedia searches in the car to refresh my memory.

We covered A LOT of ground and it was pretty much everything I wanted to see. As some other reviews note, you’re in the car a decent amount of the day but I didn’t want to drive a motorbike across that much territory in a day, and I liked seeing the country side—I feel like I got my money’s worth! The highlight was the Vinh Moc tunnels at the end of the day.

A lot of the DMZ tours wouldn’t book solo travelers and this one did, which I appreciated! It was also budget-friendly compared to a few of the others, especially considering how much ground we covered! They gave me a little gift and bought me coffee and lunch along the way! Good stuff!

Amazing experience! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and her 30 years of experience leading tours through the DMZ was so clear and gave us great insight into the history of the region. She was personable and communicated the tragedy of war for both sides in an incredibly empathetic and human manner, while giving us an excellent understanding and appreciation of the Vietnamese experience through decades of fighting and loss. Enjoyed a great day with plenty to think about on the drive back to Hue. Would absolutely recommend, thank you!

Took the DMZ tour with Connect Travel and it was super interesting and engaging! The tour guide Linh was fantastic, he spoke perfect English and was happy to answer literally any question, be it about the American war, Vietnamese life or the finer points of English football. There’s quite a lot of driving due to the distance of some of the sites from Hue but the route is very scenic. Highly recommend taking this tour!
