We had a wonderful day out visiting the DMZ with Ms. Hai (tour guide) and Mr Trung (driver). An unexpected private tour! Mr Trung picked us up promptly at 8am and navigated the Hue traffic in the pouring rain all the way to Dong Ha and up to Khe Sanh through to the Vinh Moc tunnels. Whilst the weather was less than ideal Mr Trung was great - driving safely, courteously opening car doors and providing us with umbrellas.
Ms Hai was impressive. With over 30 years experience on the DMZ she could answer any of our questions either related to the war or local Vietnamese people and customs. I learnt so much today that I had no idea about in Vietnam and the war. Ms Hai was patient and accommodating of the time we wanted to spend in certain places, what we felt like for lunch or if we wanted to walk across the river in the rain!
Ms Hai took us through the Vinh Moc tunnels - being very patient of my near panic over being claustrophobic once inside, offering me the option to see how I feel for a short way or an alternative meeting place. I'm soooo glad I went through the tunnels it was an amazing, eye opening and interesting experience.
My partner assessed all the tours before deciding on this one and it was 100٪ worth every penny, whether you are a history buff or know very little like me! Thank you Ms Hai and Mr Trung.

This is an excellent tour. My guide was Mr Thanh, who answered all of the questions I was curious about - he has great knowledge and is very easy to talk to. This is a must see for those interested in 20th c. history, and I really recommend doing the full day tour because every site on this itinerary was definitely worth a visit. Mr Thanh was also really helpful in general - he gave me detailed recommendations about other things to see and do in Hue as well as Da Nang and Hoi An. 5/5 experience

Started the day not knowing it was a private tour. Our driver Mr Trung was amazing and due to the wet weather felt safe the whole time while he was driving. We then picked up our tour guide Ms Hai ,then on to Khe Sanh. Hai was an incredible tour guide and knew what she was talking about. We could ask her any questions. As it was only myself and my partner we had all of the site visits to ourselves with our own guide. This tour is a must if you’re interested in 20th century history. It’s worth the money

My partner and I did the DMZ tour from Hue which also visited the Vinh Moc tunnels and Khe Sanh Combat Base. Our driver Mr Trung picked us up on time from our hotel lobby in a very comfortable and air conditioned car. He was so kind and friendly and had great conversation. Mr Trung is a true gentleman and has been the best driver we have had so far on our Vietnam holiday. He was also very knowledgeable on history and was happy to answer all our questions about Vietnamese people/culture. Our tour guide Ms Thach appears to be the best in the business and many former Vietnam War veterans come back to visit Khe Sanh with her. It is a long day (10 hours in total) but we were given lots of breaks for drinks/food and bathroom stops. The Vinh Moc tunnels are fantastic and would be the highlight of our vietnam trip so far. Having local inside knowledge is priceless. Would definitely recommend this tour to other travellers interested in the American War.

I highly recommend this tour especially for the history buffs. The driver Mr. Trung was very polite, right on time, and very accommodating. The tour guide Ms. Thach was excellent in her knowledge of the Vietnam War with the USA. It is very important to me as an ex-serviceman from the USA to understand how it also affected the local Vietnamese population as well. If your in Hue, do not miss this tour from these two guides.

While visiting Vietnam felt the need to stop by the places where the war actually took place, and with this tour we got the chance to really enjoy an immersive experience! Let's start from the beginning: we were picked up from the hotel by the very punctual Mr. Trung (appreciated!) And he drove us to the (former) DMZ, were our local guide, Ms. Thach, was waiting for us. Together, we really had the chance to explore the areas where the most iconic moments of the conflict took place. Ms. Thach was really knowledgeable and answered all our questions and showed some very interesting places, giving us a very good insight of the war from the actual point of view of the local population. Highlight of the morning was definitely the Khe Sanh site, with a small museum and remnants of the American base. After backtracking the highway 9, we stopped briefly for lunch, and we had the chance to try some really tasty local dishes! After that, we crossed the hien luong bridge that separated south and north Vietnam, to then continue towards Vinh Loc tunnels. The whole journey was simply amazing! We got to experience so many different environments in a single day and not a single time it felt boring. I really recommend this tour and the company of Mr. Trung and Ms. Thach.

This was a fantastic experience. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. I learned a huge amount from the driver, Mr. Hoa, and the tour guide, Mrs Thach. They both made the trip truly memorable and special.... Of course it is also upsetting due to the material covered.
It was perfect to end with the Vinh Moc tunnels. I noticed some trips start with them but I highly recommend doing it this way round.
Mr Hoa was the best driver, interesting, full of information, friendly, fun, very well informed... and an excellent driver --especially in some extremely misty, conditions.
Mrs Thach was just great and very warm and friendly... she was a huge and authoritative source of information, wisdom and insights from her long experience and expertise as a guide.
I cannot thank either of them enough or speak highly enough of them both. And overall StopandGo provided an excellent, friendly and approachable service.

What a fantastic experience with Stop and Go tours. From the very beginning communication over what’s app was very helpful and efficient. We had our whole trip arranged about 20 minutes after we first got in contact. We were picked up from our hotel by our driver Mr Chung and guide Ms Tike. Both were excellent all day with very good English. Mr Chung drove very safely and was very helpful. Ms Tike was so knowledgeable and took us everywhere we wanted to go including Vinh Moc tunnels, the DMZ bridge, then on to Khe San. The whole day was brilliant. Mr Chung then drove us on to Hue where we finished the first day. We really could not recommend more and used the same company again for the tour of the tombs near Hue on the next day. Great prices, excellent service, a very comfortable car, safe driver and knowledgeable guide. Definitely 5 stars!

Just finished our DMZ tour to Vinh Moc Tunnels and Khe Sanh Combat Base with Stop and Go tours. My partner and I were lucky enough to be guided by two extremely friendly, professional and knowledgeable guides named Ms Thach and Mr Trung.
We were given insight into the terrors the Vietnamese people had to endure during the Vietnam War, with Mr Trung showing us some extremely interesting war relics while travelling down “Horrible Highway”. He was also happy to answer any questions we had as we drove.
Once meeting up with Ms Thach, we were guided through the hills towards Khe Sanh Combat base, where she spoke to us about the historical importance of the area.
We were treated with some local cuisine whilst travelling towards Vinh Moc tunnels. This was definitely the highlight of the tour for myself. Seeing how the Vietnamese people had to live during wartime really put into perspective the severity of their situation during this period.
If you are interested in war history and are looking for friendly guides to show you around, I would highly recommend going through this company. You will not leave disappointed.

My girlfriend and I went on the full day DMZ tour and found it very educational and interesting. Our driver (Thien) spoke decent English and was very polite and friendly, offering good information during the drive. Our local guide (Tâm) was excellent and gave a brilliant account of the areas history during the war as well as an insight into how he personally experienced it, growing up in a village close by to the DMZ. I would highly recommend this trip.
