We pick you up at your hotel in Hue in the morning you can choose 8am ( suggested) or 9am or 10am Please tell us your departure time and pick up location ( hotel) in the term: Special Requirements. Visiting places: 1 Highway of Horror: May 1, 1972 will never be forgotten by people in Quang Tri and Thua Thien provinces not because it is the International Labor Day, but because the horrible carnage on the Vietnam Highway 1 about ten kilometers south of Quang Tri City. Thousands of people were killed by artillery and infantry weapons in hours of shooting. 2 Long Hung Church: This church in Quang Tri, Vietnam fell victim to 8 continuous days of bombings by South Vietnamese and American troops during the Vietnam War. The church has remained untouched and basically remains as it was immediately after the bombings occurred.which was a battlefield in 1972 between North and South Vietnam for 81 days and nights. 3 Doc Mieu Base: There's basically nothing left of this old American base save a rusting tank and a sign. Apparently this once formed the backbone of the "eagle eyes of america" electronic monitoring fence. 4 Ben Hai River – Hien Luong Bridge of DMZ: Vietnam's Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ, is the area around the former border between North and South Vietnam. 5 Cua Tung Beach: Cua Tung Beach is located in Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province. Although Cua Tung Beach is not very wide or long, it has its own beauty. The beach has sparkling green water, silky sand, and it is touched by soft breezes throughout the year. 6 Vinh Moc Tunnels: The tunnels were built in three levels (12, 15 and 23 meters deep) and took thirteen months to complete. Three hundred people lived intermittently in the tunnels during 1966 to 1971. Sixty-two families made the tunnels their home and amazingly seventeen babies were born here and spent the first years of their lives underground.

          Great
Hòa was a great guide who helped us learn about Hue's fascinating history, he spoke good English and answered all of our questions with a friendly face. We appreciated the flexibility in pickup and dropoff as Hòa picked us up from the train station despite a delayed train, we then proceeded straight to the tour before he dropped us off at the hotel for check in.

Great experience with a great driver (Hòa)
We arrived late at night in Hué and had a clear schedule for the next day. It was raining so we booked a private driver for a tour of the Royal Tombs and Pagode. And what a driver! Hòa (our driver) was amazing! Smooth driving, friendly and kind and has a great knowledge of the city and its history. Hòa not only guided us through the different kings of the dynasty and their contexts but also gave us hints on places to go and shared local stories and anecdotes of the places we were driving through. We had a really fun time with him and learned a lot. A great memory for our honeymoon. Can't recommend highly enough Hòa and the company that made this last minute tour possible.

          Sam is amazing
Sam was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, great English and a great driver. We learnt so much from him, not just about the areas we saw, but also about Vietnam in general. We didn't feel rushed at all and we still made it to our destination in great time. 100% would travel with Sam again in a heartbeat.

          Great tours
I did a private tour with of Hue with Hien. He was a very nice man and great guide. He shared so much information about Hue and Vietnam. He was a very safe driver. I decided to book him to drive me to Da Nang the next day and see sights on the way. I would highly recommend Stop and Go tours and Hien to anyone visiting the area.

We had a tour from Hue with Mr Tin and Ms Thach and learnt so much about the history of Vietnam when the DMZ was established and afterwards. Both our guides spoke excellent English and were able to answer all our questions about the life and times for people in the region. On the way home, Mr TIn also recommended a local restaurant for us , Madam Thu, which we also visited and would recommend.

Without knowing much about the Vietnam war going in to this tour I was excited to gain more insight on the Vietnam war.

We were picked up by our awesome driver Mr. Trung! The car was clean and he was a great driver on the crazy streets of Vietnam. He gave us interesting facts along the way to pick up our tour guide Ms. Hai. They were both extremely knowledgeable, and were able to explain everything we had questions on.

I am very happy with this tour and would highly recommend for everyone, especially those interested in war history.

I did the shorter tour option as it was mainly the tunnels I was interested in seeing. My driver and guide was Nguyên Thành. He spoke excellent English, knew everything about the places we visited and was good company for the whole trip - important as I was travelling alone and there was a lot of driving, so it could have been very boring/awkward otherwise. I was really glad to go with a guide as although there were some small signs and museums at the sites there was not a huge amount of information and I knew very little about the war before visiting.

The tunnels themselves are amazing to see and I also found it very interesting to visit the 17th parallel and learn about the Geneva Accords and the build up to the war. While the exhibitions at each site are small and probably won't add a lot for anyone who's already learned about the war previously, they are well presented and provide a reasonably good background if like me you start out knowing very little. As a side bonus it was also cool to drive along some of the smaller back roads, having mainly stuck to the expressways until now.

The trip is expensive but it lasts for almost the whole day and judging by the reviews here you're pretty much guaranteed an excellent guide - I can only personally speak for Thành but as stated above he was very good. If you're interested in the war history of the country I would definitely recommend Stop & Go.

4.5 stars - We did a combined dmz tour and private transfer from Hue to Phong Nha. The driver (Mr Tin Tin) and our tour guide (Ms Hai) we’re excellent, very friendly and knowledgable. The highlights of the tour are the tunnels and the dmz line at the river.

I think overall it’s slightly expensive for what you get (the highway, the church and the tank you see in about 5 minutes), and we finished well before the expected time, so not 5 stars, but the level of explanation from Ms Hai was the best that we had compared to the other tours we had been on

My partner and I booked the DMZ tour from one day to another after 6pm, we contacted them via WhatsApp and it was really easy, fast and informative to book the tour for the next day.
Mr Trung picked us up at our hotel early in the morning and took us all the way to Dong Ha, where we met with our tour guide, Ms Thach.
Our driver, Mr Trung, was extremely friendly and drove very safely along all the tour. He pointed up some interesting places on our way up to Dong Ha, and kept chatting with us about some stuff we asked him about. His English skills are very good and we enjoyed our conversation with Mr Trung a lot.
Our tour guide, Ms Thach, was really knowledgeable about Vietnam history and in particular about the American war. She answered all of our questions (which were many) and we even stopped at a war cemetery as per our request. Ms Thach's English was excellent and she transmitted her enthusiasm in every explanation, which kept us even more interested.
All the places we visited were highly impressive (the bridge separating North and South Vietnam, Khe Sanh base, war museums, Vinh Loc tunnels leading to the ocean...). We also had a brief stop to eat lunch at a local restaurant, our noodles were pretty good and the pho looked nice too. The landscapes and rural countryside around the DMZ zone were beautiful and an enjoyable view from the car.
We are particularly interested in this part of history and really enjoyed every second of the tour. I would definitely recommend it!

We did the half day DMZ tour scheduled through Stop and Go Tours (cafe located in Hue). Our tour guide was excellent, Mr. Tam, and he was the “most real authentic” guide because he was able to clearly share many of his memories of the war, spoke good English, and able to convey the war experience by the people. Our driver was Mr. Trung, who was on time to pick us up, nice car with room, stocked with beverage, courteous and helpful when exiting the car and to cross the street. He was also very knowledgeable of the sites. We lucked out that we used their expertise! Will be remembering this day for years to come!

Today we enjoyed a great tour to Khe Sanh combat base, the DMZ and the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Along the way, driver Tom and guide Hai also took time to point out other places sadly notable due to their wartime roles. This is a FULL day, as advertised. We left the hotel at 7:30 sharp, as scheduled and were delivered safely home at 6 pm. The tour was by private car. Tom was prudent, attentive to photo opportunities, pleasant and informative. Before turning toward the first major destination we picked up guide Hai, who proved herself to be a treat to travel with. Pleasant, and a wealth of information having been guiding for 25 years. I highly recommend Tom, Hai and Stop and Go tours.

We booked a DMZ tour with Stop & Go Tours today. Our driver, Sanh, a pleasant and charismatic person, spoke good English and told us many stories about Vietnam, its people, culture and history. Halfway we stopped to pick up our guide, Mr. TAM, a veteran of the Vietnam- American war. His English was perfect and the tour was highly informative, focusing also on the life of civilians during those times.
I would definitely recommend Stop & Go Tours and this tour in particular to others.

The tour was organised well and exactly as described on the page. What set it apart was our local (from Huế) tour guide/ driver John who, along the way from Huế to the various sights, vividly retold events of the war and also shared personal experiences of his own. I had the opportunity to ask him a lot about post-war developments and about what it's like for people living in Vietnam today. He was generous with his knowledge and perspectives which left me with a profound feeling even after the tour ended. I wish him all the best!

We booked this tour after using Stop & Go for our transfer from Hoi An to Hue. We were very lucky to have the same driver, Mr Trung (a delight!), and Ms Hai on this trip. Ms Hai is a brilliant guide who’s local to the DMZ and so is able to share the history of the area, past and present. I found the tour to be very good value for money; the service was personal and professional.
