This tour is a great way to explore the city of Hue and the food it has to offer. Sitting in a cyclo is a totally relaxing mode of transportation: there is always a light breeze, and one sees and smells the city in a much more direct way than on a scooter or in a car. I liked that we didn't just eat, but also explored the market and saw the produce, fish and meat. The tour is very well designed and we didn't feel stuffed at the end. There is more than enough food - we didn't need or want dinner afterwards - but it wasn't too much. We ate at many different places in different parts of the city, from hip cafes to small holes in the wall. Overall this is a very well designed tour, and in our case we had a great guide to add to the enjoyment.

Thom was an amazing guide. We are two foodies and loved the super-well prepared and thought-through tour that Thom has put together. It was only the two of us booking that afternoon and Thom made an amazing experience out of it. First we saw the massive list of things we were going to try and could not imagine how that would work (and fit in our bellies), but it was so well designed and varied between smaller and bigger portions, that in the end we could try and enjoy it all! Also, it was super interesting to learn more about the different preparation techniques and looooong ingredient lists that go into preparing typical vietnamese dishes. The next day, we even went to a few of our favorite places again! Definitely recommend and well worth its price.

I leave this review to highlight Mr Thoms honesty and integrity. We booked this tour from Australia and whilst here in Vietnam during the Coronavirus pandemic we contacted Mr Thom to make sure the tour was still operating as we had had some problems in Hoi An. He kept in contact with us and checked which restaurants were open and willing to serve us and u fortunately he had to cancel as he felt the tour would not be up to his usual standard. We really appreciate the honesty and wish you all the best in these troubling times. I’m sure this tour would have been a highlight of our stay

Unfortunately our tour had to be cancelled, but Thom not only emailed us, he also called to make sure we knew, to apologize and to recommend restaurants and give tips. He also gave us a gift in apology. Such a lovely man! Wish we had been able to go with him, he went above and beyond!

Myself and 5 friends took this tour with Thom and we all had a great time.He is very informative and safe during the tour and takes you to clean places and offers sanitized wipes with each meal.He also gives you a little history of each dish.And getting to be chauffeured around in a cyclo to and from each place for 4 hours makes you feel like royalty.Highly recommend

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Mr Thom was an excellent host and we travelled around the city in cyclos stopping to try different local dishes. We also stopped at the market to learn about the ingredients that are used in the cooking and their medicinal properties. There was lots to eat but it was well balanced and ended in a cafe. It was excellent value for money. The cyclo tour around the city covered both sides of the river and gave you a good idea about the different areas. Mr Thom was good with hygiene having plenty of wipes and sanitiser on hand. Mr Thom also has a good command of english and happily answers all your questions. Highly recommended

If you are a foodie, then this is a must. Thom is very careful about hygiene and is a great guide, and introduced us to foods that we would not have otherwise experienced.

We've had an amazing afternoon! Nice tour around the city in cyclos, which was very comfortable. We tried around 17 dishes in many different places: small restaurants, shops and the market. Most were new flavors for us, so it was a great experience! Recommended for all foodies!

Had a lovely afternoon with Thom and the cyclo guys. Warm, welcoming and friendly from the offset, we explored places highly regarded by locals including some hidden restaurants. Everything was explained by Thom, including how the history came to shape the food (really interesting considering it's the former capital). Highly recommended, delicious, and you will be stuffed!

My daughter and I had a wonderful morning with a very knowledgeable and amusing Mr Thom. We enjoyed the many different foods and flavours of real Vietnamese cooking; to appreciate the importance of matching the right herbs with different meats and fish; and to learn about the beliefs surrounding the beneficial effects of certain herbs and spices. I would suggest that you do not eat breakfast beforehand and will certainly not need lunch afterwards! This is an experience not to be missed!

Thom is fantastic!!!! Very interesting guy.....his knowledge of the local food and history is superb. The cyclo ride is also a great way to enjoy sightseeing and a good way to digest between meal stops. The food is plentiful and delicious. Thom takes you to many food stalls to sample tons of different dishes. You will only want to eat breakfast before you go.

This is the best way to get to taste the local cuisine. Thom the director picked us up from our hotel and gave us a itinerary for the next four hours of tasting different foods and seeing the sights. All of the foods we experienced were the best the city has to offer. All in out of the way restaurants and cafes visited via a cyclo. Tom explained the history of all the meals, where the vegetables and meats came from. Went through a market as well, anything from quail eggs to beef available. Thom is fluent in English and a all around gentleman. A five star rating
