Our guide Kelvin took my 2 kids an I on a day tour that included cooking and a city tour. Kelvin is an amazing guide that made it a very fun and interesting time for us. He is knowledgeable and engaging and my kids not only had a fun time, but also learnt alot. A highly recommended tour guide and tour!

I spent three weeks in Vietnam with Xin Chao Private Vietnam Tours. This company provided me with a custom-designed tour to photograph rice terraces and minority villages that went above and beyond the standard tourist itinerary. My guide Loc provided unforgettable experiences and cultural connections, in both the mountainous north, and the Mekong Delta. Loc understood my desire to see less-touristy areas. We went to places that few tourists visit, but that were completely amazing and breathtaking. Loc had an exceptional way of breaking the ice with local people in the less-visited areas. The people were unfailingly friendly, and many times invited us into their homes for tea. Hanoi, with its Old Quarter, was vibrant with food and culture. Saigon is Loc's home, and he is proud to show it off. This is the second time I have used Xin Chao Private Vietnam Tours in my visits to Vietnam. Loc and his team far exceeded my expectations. The enthusiasm they have for touring (and photography!) really is extraordinary. If you have a desire for adventure, need to find a less-touristy cultural connection, or see stunning scenery, I highly recommend this company.

I booked a tour in Ho Chi Minh City and Mekong Delta as part of my honeymoon itinerary. Pre-Arrival: Loc was very responsive and easy to work with in developing a customized itinerary to optimize our time there. After Arrival: We were picked up at the airport as expected and whisked around Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta over the course of 4 days. Anh was our tour guide, she was fun and she provided great information throughout our tour. We always knew what to expect and out itinerary for each day. In HCM, We did an awesome food tour and visits Cu Chi Tunnels (highly recommend!), War Museum, Post Office, and Notre Dame Cathedral. In Mekong/Can Tho, we visited the floating market, a night market, had a local lunch and had a traditional boat ride along the river. We never felt rushed or like we couldn't make ad hoc suggestions for what we wanted to do. It was a wonderful experience and I can't want to return to Vietnam. I will be booking another tour with Xin Chao.

A full day with Hang (Cathryn) & Mr Handsome to the Cuchi tunnels and shooting range. Learned a lot of great detail from Ms Hang about Saigon & Vietnam history. Hang is a personal, fun & knowledgeable tour guide I enjoyed being with for this day.

Superb experience with the tour guide and I enjoyed every moment. He had made it so much more easy to tour solo at a new city and I would give a 10star if I could!

Our bespoke tour was extra special with Loc himself and partner Tiffany travelling with our family of 4. We were treated like family and Loc helped us when our son had a fall. We got some hidden wonderful views in Tam Coc, combed Yen Tu mountain with a group of monks whom Loc was chatting with. Whilst it wasn’t 100% perfect, we had a memorable experience going off the beaten track. Best part was learning the language and immersing in the local culture which we wouldn’t otherwise have known if we travelled by ourselves!

Had an awesome evening guided by Tim and Catherine who were wonderful fun and very knowledgeable about the food we were eating. They also gave us some great insights into life in Vietnam. Highly recommended.

Loc from Xin Chao was fantastic from our first contact. He made a great effort to establish what our interests were and what we wanted to get from our time in Saigon. We spent several days on private tours, around the city, in the countryside & national parks, and a “foodie” city tour which was the highlight of our time there. He was punctual and organised, very clear with his explanations, and went to great effort to show us the sights and culture of Saigon, and how the people there live. We wouldn’t hesitate to call Loc again if we were going back to Saigon. We also spent some time with Linda from Xin Chao when we were in Hanoi, which was equally awesome! Whether for a single day tour or a whole customised private trip, Xin Chao Is the way to go!

This is the second time we have visited Vietnam and the second time we have used this company. We had three tours with the company, two in and around Hanoi and one around Hoi An. All three tours were excellent. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and both spoke excellent English. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone visiting Vietnam.

This was our fourth time booking a tour of Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels with Xin Chiao Tours and as usual it was unforgettable. Our tour guide Ana (Trang) was very knowledgeable about these sights and Vietnam’s culture and history in general. She was easy to talk to and funny, which made our trip trust much more enjoyable. My husband and I used this company for a 2 week private tour of Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh City all the way to Hanoi and beyond. It was an unforgettable experience that was surprisingly affordable. We learned about Loc and his tour company through friends who had booked a similar tour a couple of years prior. Every detail was taken care of. The only thing we had to do was book our flight to Vietnam and Loc took care of all the rest. His company booked all of our hotels, tours, intra-country flights and drivers. He was even waiting for us at the airport when we arrived. We experienced things we never would have found on our own. We went to restaurants that didn't have a single westerner in them; we had lunch at a restaurant in someone's backyard in the Mekong delta; we went to a small fish market in central Vietnam where we watched fish being bought right from the boat. We booked the mid-tier package so we were shocked at how nice all of the hotels were. They all had large, modern and comfortable rooms with excellent AC. We had a motorbike tour to 4 different restaurants in Ho Chi Minh, a country-side motorbike tour in Hoi An, saw countless temples and pagodas, hiked through the jungle, and even did an overnight cruise in Halong Bay. We had many encounters with locals thanks to Loc. He knew that our goal was to experience the culture so that's how he targeted our tour. He will customize each tour according to your preferences. I really do want to emphasize that this tour was surprisingly reasonably priced. We encountered a group taking a bus tour that followed the same basic path as our tour. Their tour was two days shorter and most of the excursions were "extra". The base cost of that tour was the same price as our longer, all inclusive private tour. Book any tour that Xin Chao Private Vietnam Tours offers. Each tour is meticulously planned and executed. You will not find a better tour operator.

We had a wonderful time during our tour. Our guide, Linda, was very accommodating, kind, and flexible. We appreciated her patience with all our questions about the country and logistics. Linda's translation helped us learn and enjoy our time in Vietnam. Our driver was great as well. Linda and our driver were always on time and flexible when we wanted to change the schedule. Loc, thank you for pointing us towards Pu Luong and Ninh Binh. Our families enjoyed learning more about our culture.

Had a fun-filled evening exploring the city with very informative guides Tea and Tom. Such a great way to experience Ho Chi Minh city on a scooter like the locals. We enjoyed great restaurants during the tour, too. 🛵😎

I almost never leave reviews like this, but my Xin Chao tour was so memorable that I just have to relate what a blast it was. The guide took me through narrow alleys, through colourful flower markets, and showed me Parts of Saigon which I would never have seen on my own. My guide (his name was Andy) spoke fluent English and was so enthusiastic and keen that I see and enjoy the city the way he does. Xin Chao is run by a delightful and experienced tour operator named Bao Loc, and he runs a loyal band of guides who clearly love working for him. I’ll be back sometime for more tours, as they are such fantastic value for money.
