    Lovely
Amazing views - slightly more touristy than expected but still worth it. We didn’t opt for a cruise but instead asked an old lady if she would take us for a fraction of the price. I would recommend that visitors ask locals for a tour as opposed to the big tour boats.

    Awesome experiences
We were interested for the trip to this market. Actually, it is a wholesale market with many local merchants from villages coming to buy and sell their fruits like pineapple, watermelon, mango and vegetable. The best part of the market is to see how people live and trade their fruits at middle of river. Additionally, my mom really like to enjoy pineapple, mangosteen and delicious noodle soup (must try all). Finally, our family also visited chocolate factory, noodle village and fruits garden. All were awesome. I highly recommend our lovely guide, he has a wide range of knowledge and so charming (his whatsapp +84936427369)

    Lovely trip
We wake up so early to get the market by sampan boat. We cruised into floating market to see many vendor who sell vegetable and fruits like watermelon, pineapple. We do feel the market still really big with around 100 boats selling fruits but quite hard and boring for people staying and sleep on the boat. Our guide said they consider the boat like house so they always live on the boat. I sometimes saw some kids, chickens and televison on their boat, this is so impressing for us. Then, we also go to wild canal, rural villages and visit some factories. The trip is quite expensive but really worth each penny. We have a very small group only four of us, our guide was lovely and wide range of knowledge, he invited so much yummy fruits like jackfruits, mangosteen, pineapple. You can contact with him via Whatsaap +84939480468 to book the lovely trip

    Best trip ever
Our family booked the trip to market via Then, he organised the fantastic trip for us with a lovely and knowledge tourguide. Firstly, Clare came to our hotel to pick up and bring us to a sampan boat, we spent only 2 minutes to get the market with many fruit boats. Our guide bought for us two pineapples, which are so delicious like someone put sugar inside. Then, we also got coffee and noodle souple for breakfast. This is the best breakfast I never have before. Afterthat, we cruised into small wild canals and villages. It is really beautiful with many water hyacinth and watee coconut surrounding. This is the best part of our trip as we met local people who picked up some delicous fruits from their garden for us. Highly recommended mangoateen and star apple for try. Finally, we stopped at cocoa factory and noodle factories. All are awesome. I highly recommened you take the trip with Then (her whatsapp is +83936427369, she is really lovely, knowledged and the trip is comepletely authentic.

    Just amazing!!!
Our guide picked up from our hotel and we got the floating market around 7 am. The market is just amazing with over 200 merchant boats. They sell many different tropical fruits such as mango, pineapple, rambutan etc. I advised you should come with a local guide to help you connect with local people, we are lucky with our great guide, he invited us with cafe sua da and noodle soup as well as bought alot of fruits for us. Then, we cruised into small canals and walking at local villages, we were offered with some fresh fruits on the garden by local people. After that, we stopped at local factory to make noodle to finish the perfect adventure. The trip is abit expensive but really worth each penny. Highly recommended You can contact with Ken via his whatsaap +84936427369 to book the trip

    Good market experience
Mr Toan from Boutique Homestay took us in his own boat - gave us a good commentary on the Market dynamics . We also enjoyed a wonderful Vietnamese breakfast on the boat . Bought a few items from the wholesale Floating boats . The Cai Rang markets are dwindling in size as the Govt is encouraging other wholesale markets with better transport facilities . Early start at 5.30 am - and boating on the mighty Mekong Delta was a pleasant experience. Mr Toan thereafter takes us to the Land market where fish, & produce is sold. More interactive with bikes, scooters and Fresh crabs, squid, snake, fish, and even field rats on sale .

    the biggest floating market.
Cai Rang Floating Market is also a wholesale market specializing in buying and selling vegetables of the region. Group market from 2-3 am, busiest around 4-6 am, trading activities take place all day. Because it is a wholesale market, goods are concentrated here in relatively large quantities. Each item has been graded for uniformity in quality and size. The main means of transportation and cargo transportation are boats. Immersed in the bustling atmosphere of the market, visitors can observe and learn about the activities of many merchant families with many generations living on the boat. Each boat is a house on the river with flower pots, pets, full amenities such as color TV, CD player, sound system... including motorbikes parked on the boat. The form of buying and selling on the market is to hang a "butterfly" instead of a signboard. Usually, the selling boat will put up a pot of any plant to distinguish it from the buying boat

Not worth it, dying a slow death
We were in Cai Be to view the floating market, but that one had dwindled to about 9 boats, so we decided to stay a night in Can Tho, get up early to visit the floating market there, but we're very disappointed. It was small with only around 25 boats, mainly selling fruit, with very little atmosphere. It very much felt like it was dying. There were more tourist boats than merchants, and the river was filthy with rubbish. Unless they find a way to cater to the tourists (like they have done in Thailand), it will die out. I would recommend giving it a miss.

    So impressive.
The floating market is located on Can Tho River (part of Hau River), Cai Rang District – about 6 km away from the center of Can Tho City in the direction of Soc Trang, or around 45 minutes away from Ninh Kieu Quay by boat. In 2016, Cai Rang Floating Market was recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. The market was also elected as one of the most impressive markets in the world by UK’s Rough Guide. Once you visit Mekong, floating market is a kind of things should not miss in your travel plan. To experience Cai Rang at its best, get up early and take a boat trip, it is really worth for your day visit.

Great atmosphere early in the morning
Cai Rang is one of the few remaining floating markets. It has become pretty small with the years, around 30 boats now. Wake up early (be at the market at 6 am at the latest) to enjoy the best atmosphere of the place. This is defi Italy a place to visit when in the meopng delta, we did it on a 2 days trip.from Ho Chi Minh City.

What a great way to witness the locals selling there products on the river. our guide said they were huge but have now diminished in size but this was still amazing watching the trade and seeing the pole s with the products they had to sell waving in the breeze,we had breakfast on the water and the noodles and soup were very good ,also sampled fruits which were very fresh and would recommend this to anyone that is interested in the local way of life on the mekong

The cai rang floating market is fun to visit. It is less intimate than other floating markets because this is more a wholesale market with bigger boats. If you want to visit here make sure you don't book a tour with ytc!!!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on the Mekong Delta 2-Day, 1-Night tour, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. This tour took me through the enchanting landscapes of My Tho, Ben Tre, and Can Tho, offering a glimpse into the heart of the Mekong Delta and its unique way of life.

It was very interesting to see the boats and the vendors. Somehow I expected more direct contact, which was limited.
The market is colorful and bustling. Great photo ops.

Nice and interesting but not so big as expected and too much garbage in the water.
Since they build some bridges along the Mekong, a lot of transport is made now by roads and not so many on the water as it use to be

Very different from the floating markets experienced in other places such as Thailand. These markets lean more toward the wholesale market to traders and other merchants. Larger vessel ply their trade with some item displayed on the mast to 'announce' what their produce is. Rather than multiple products, each boat mainly trades in one form of fruit or produce. Well worth a visit.
