- 1The Great Holy Sight Temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the striking structures of South-East Asia. It is the headquarters of the unique Cao Dai sect, a religion with a hybrid of Buddhism, Christianity & Confucianism. Above the entrance is the all-seeing holy eye – symbol of the sect., proceed to the Cu Chi to explore the amazing site where Viet Cong hid during the War. It is now a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists - In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. There is plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone". Visitors can watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed before entering the tunnels. Spend the next hour exploring the tunnels. Afterwards, enjoy tea, cassava

- Sandeepnvarma0 contributionsThe Cu Chi experience.Cu Chi Tunnel is a 200 km network of tunnels used by Viet Cong fighters against the US army. The walk gives you an experience of a life time about how the Viet Cong resisted the American force through their ingenious ways and sheer grit.Written November 21, 2019

- maggie18070 contributionsBest day trip!Fantastic tour and our guide, Lan Unicorn, was excellent! He speaks good English, loves to sing, has a great sense of humor, and is very well informed. Lan continuously shared info about the local people, culture, war times, history, food and sites, and happily answered any questions we had. The highlight was definitely visiting the Mekong Delta and having a chance to interact with the locals. A long tour, but well worth the money and time. Thanks, Lan!Written October 12, 2019
- Jelli50 contributionsSummer in VietnamWould recommend a trip to the war museum prior to this trip. The day started with an early Pick up to the annoyance of our teens 😂. Traveled by mini bus to a small factory that made some amazing art. It was home to second and third generation people who were affected by agents orange. People who had limited walking ability but an incredible ability to make art. After visiting the factory we took a walk through the shop and test area before travelling onto the cu chi area. Your shown 2 short movies on the mini bus. The guide had a very open perspective and said you need to watch both to see the American war from both sides. After the first American documentary we arrived in what can best be described as s jingle. It’s hot and humid so drink plenty of water. When you arrive you see some old American hardware, great photo opportunity and cool for your teens. Your then talked through weapons used and how the tunnel system worked. So glade I wasn’t part of that war! Your then asked / ushered to go down parts of the tunnel. We did and I’m pleased we did but it’s warm. You get the chance to go through a few more tunnels. I did one more 😢. I was pleased for a seat with refreshments before we took a look in the gift shop. Back to the mini bus for about a mile to the firing range. We all had a go, kids opted for AK47 and we took the M16. Loads more to choose from. It’s very safe as the guns are partially fixed when loaded 😳. Loved the experience and the kids loved the shooting range. Traveled back to hotel and watched a short movie from the North Vietnamese point of view. The whole experience really opens up your mind regarding the American war. The Vietnamese call it the American war as they’ve been part of so many wars over the decades right from the french to communism.Written July 7, 2019
- Webs4fun0 contributionsVietnam Family HolidayWhat a truly informative and interesting tour of Cu Chi Tunnels (less touristy tour) through VIP tours and our guide Handsome Ben was great and very knowledgeable. These tunnels are a lot smaller then I envisioned don’t know how they lived in them really. Would totally recommend this tour.Written July 1, 2019
- zubux0 contributionsGreat tour and great information.Ryan with TNK Travel was an excellent tour guide explaining all about the community as well as the tunnels itself. Very informative and a great experience.Written June 29, 2019
- krystier20180 contributionsUnicorn TunnelsGreat tour to Cu Chi tunnels. Picked up promptly from hotel by friendly guide, Lan who made us laugh, gave us lots of information and let us know what was going to happen. Stopped at handicap handcraft where the process was explained and we were able to purchase some art work, refreshments and use the toilets. There was plenty of cold water and towels on the bus. The actual tour was amazing! Would definitely recommend it!Written April 18, 2019
- Catherinebanks0 contributionsA day of history from a very passionate tourguideWe went on this one-day tour with Jackie. He was entertaining, captivating and quite the character from start to finish. We thoroughly enjoyed his story of his experience in the Vietnam War and his life in general. We felt that Jackie, having lived through the war, brought something extra-special to this tour and, through his stories, we almost felt as though we had been there ourselves! The tunnels themselves were fantastic. Very well structured exhibits and the “crawl” thorough the remaining 150m was well worth the effort and subsequent sore legs (We recommend going all the way to the end)!Written January 10, 2019
- Stephen S0 contributionsHighly recommended half-day tripVery interesting to see the tunnels first hand and learn about the horrors of the war. Crawling through the tunnels which have been widened for tourists is an experience which I won’t forget. It was scary enough just with a guide behind me. Very informative, highly recommend going to see this with a guide to explain the history as you walk around. A worthwhile half-day trip.Written January 8, 2019
- Susan K0 contributionsCu Chi Tunnels - a rare opportunity to learn about the importance of the tunnels through the Vietnamese PerspectiveThe half day tour gives you an opportunity to develop an understanding of the creativeness of this type of warfare. You can experience the underground network built by the Viet Cong to control a farming area near Saigon. I took the opportunity of lowering myself into one of the hidden holes and could not get out without help. I also did the longer underground tour with my husband. You need to actually crawl at one point to try and get through as well as walk bent over for the entire length of the tunnel, minus the time you are crawling. These tunnels were first used during the French Vietnamese War and again used be the Viet Cong. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and showed us many fake termite hills that were used to hide soldiers, and some of the torture traps, that were very scary. There were several displays on view including how they let the steam out so not to be caught when they were cooking, making shoes from tires, etc. You can also buy bullets to shoot guns. This is not something I tried though other people on our tour did. There was a propaganda film when you first arrive, but our guide showed it to us on the bus so he could address any of our questions in a smaller venue. There were 125 miles of tunnels connecting to shelters, hospitals, etc. Half way through the tour, we were served tea and a typical starch.Written December 16, 2018
- Navigator3111490 contributionsVery interesting place to visitAlthough it is about an hours drive from Saigon, we felt that it was worth it! The tunnels and their networks were amazing - our guide Mr Nam was very knowledgeable about the history of the place.Written December 14, 2018
- FearlessFred520 contributionsHalf day tourOur tour was organised by our hostel- Lily's in the PNL area- this was my second visit. Our guide was a kind older man who was a veteran of the South Vietnam army. The tunnels are located in woodland and can get quite busy but it is so worth it- the grainy propaganda footage gives some impression what it was like. Some things are a revelation: how near to Saigon the NLF were and how resourceful they were at hiding even under the brunt of a well resourced foe. The visit to the handicapped craft centre is poignant, given the effect of toxic Agent Orange on the local population. Well recommended.Written December 4, 2018
- Ottolino20150 contributionsTour of Cu Chi TunnelsWe had a lot of fun with our tour guide Tim. The site is very interesting, you can go down in the tunnels and make photos at the bunker and traps of Vietcong army.Written December 3, 2018

I’ve been called right after the trip confirmation to be informed there would have been no visit to Cao Dai Temple but only Cu Chi Tunnels
I really enjoyed it, but didn’t get refund, the only visit to the tunnels would have cost less, so I’m a little disappointed about this
