Brilliant - a must do in Vietnam!
I cannot rate this trip highly enough - so good! As a family of 5 with boys aged 11, 12 and 15, we had done a few tours in Thailand and Cambodia before this one and this 1 day tour is the only one they actually really loved. We saw no tourists, and felt we saw the real Vietnam. Enough said! So many highlights … but it was not just that our guide, Duc was awesome in every way, but the lunch was also so delicious ( a true taste of real Vietnamese food but familiar too - our kids loved everything), the scooter ride was terrific and the coconut candy factory was very interesting. It’s a big day with a 1.5 hr travel time each way but everything you see and do is so incredibly insightful into Vietnamese culture, that it’s just a brilliant way to experience Vietnam! Book this tour!!

    Special Mekong trip
Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful guide Đức on this Mekong delta tour. We had the two day trip. Highlights were buying from local vendors. Eating dragon fruit straight from the tree. Shots of medicinal wine with our lunch hosts. This trip is a great way to see the real Vietnam. We loved it. Be prepared for some long car journeys is the only negative. A great trip for families

Absolutely amazing trip, a definite must
We had an amazing time today, the trip was everything we hoped it would be. Our guide was superb and we loved every minute. I am trying to pick a highlight and just can’t because it was all so good, would 100% recommend spending that bit more and taking this tour if you want to see the authentic side without bus loads of tourists.

    Great Tour
The trip was really great. We booked it very spontaneous, but the team found a way to arrange the tour for us. Our guide Ms Duyen was great, she was very motivated to show us the Mekong Delta and had a lot of knowledge about the area. We had the best meal of our whole Vietnam trip on the first day and had a chance to visit the rural areas far from tourism. The boat trip on the second day led us to two floating markets, where we had time to enjoy the sunrise on our own private boat. The other stops were also worth the time. Finally, special thanks also to Mr Nam, our driver who took care of us all the time, we felt safe every second. In total, we highly recommend this tour. Thank you very much for the experience!

    Great tour!
We had a lovely couple of days exploring the Mekong Delta. Our guide Đức was super knowledgeable and fun- and everything was seamlessly well-planned, from motorbike to boat rides. It was impressive that we didn’t encounter large groups of tourists through much of the tour. I enjoyed the rural aspects the most, like the dragonfruit farm, lunch and boat ride/walk along Tortoise Island. Can Tho was a surprisingly large city, but it was interesting to see some of the more industrialized, agriculture towns along the way. It is a lot of driving, as Can Tho is over 3 hours from Saigon, but seeing the floating market was a priority for me. I thought it was great value for the price. This tour company was recommended to me by friends - and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others as well.

    Fantastic and definitely "non-touristic"
This had been a great all-day trip in the Mekong Delta area. My wife and I were picked up from our hotel (Bongsen Saigon, which is adjacent to the Sheraton Saigon) at about 8 AM and didn't get back until around 7 PM. Queenie was our guide for the day and I truly commend her for the things we learned about daily life in Vietnam through our entire trip. As an expat living in the Philippines, I found the experience to both familiar and unfamiliar. Enjoying the rural ambiance of the rice farms, walking through a wet market, riding a paddle boat in a muddy river, riding pillion on a motorcycle, and visiting a pretty big church is also a part of life in that country, yet that common ground made for many interesting conversations with our guide, comparing and checking the differences between two Southeast Asian countries with two similar yet different cultures. Our first stop was a walkthrough of the Can Duoc wet market. It was remarkably cleaner than what I am used to, and certainly more lively, especially with the way the stall owners were keeping their meat "fresh". Queenie also bought our ingredients for lunch later there; looking back, I should've contributed a little more, as some of the food we ate later that afternoon was so good it wasn't enough. The second stop was one of the many Caodai Temples in the area. While Queenie wasn't a Caodaist, she knew a little bit about the religion and its underlying theology. It was amazing how it melded the major religions in the land as well as their figures/symbols into one coherent system. I believe it would've added to the experience if we had been able to observe if not sit in during one of their ceremonies. It would be similar to, say, two Christians attending mass in the Notre Dame or the Vatican. (Speaking of which, my wife and I had attended mass at the Saigon Notre Dame just a couple days earlier, at her insistence, and it was a unique experience; the only thing missing from that would be accessibility features to encourage foreign Christian tourists to come and visit.) We swapped over to motorcycles for our third stop and rode pillion on two different motorcycles. My wife rode with Queenie, so she had lots of things to talk about with her during the ride. The person I rode with didn't speak a lick of English, but that was OK -- it was an experience in itself since I got to take in the scenery and also immerse myself fully in the ride. I've never ridden pillion for such a long time, and it's something I wouldn't forget for a while. It was a 30 minute ride to a dragon fruit farm, where we got to talk to the local farmers while having a couple fruits. I work closely with people in the agriculture industry, so their agriculture practices and the way they differed drew my interest. Unfortunately, the language barrier got in the way. (For improvement on this experience, I suggest looking into brewing dragonfruit wine.) Once we got back from the farm, we took a quick break for lunch at Hien's place, where we had a slew of homecooked meals along with shots of exotic Vietnamese wines. One of them surprisingly tasted identical to Adobo, while the other dishes were delicious in their own right (especially the noodles we'd been served). The exotic wines were strong, and our hosts were excited that I had no problems taking every shot they offered me. We spent quite a long time there, fully relaxed and enjoying the moment. But no trip to the Mekong Delta is complete without a boat ride along the Mekong River. By this point, the "non-touristic" aspect of the day trip had been felt the entire time, but it truly sunk in when my wife and I rode alone, with our guide, on a boat large enough to fit 20 to 30 passengers. Along the way we got to see the Vinh Trang Pagoda and the Mother Temple (with the tall statues), which we wish we had also been able to visit during the trip. From there, we swapped to a rowboat and went slowly through the mangrove. It was beautiful and did its job well as a concluding note for the full-day tour. Overall it was a fantastic experience. However, I believe there's still room for improvement, hence the 4 out of 5. I would certainly take my family here again, the next time I get the chance.

    Amazing tour with great guide!
We booked the 3 day Mekong Delta Tour and had an amazing experience. Our guide Duc was very kind and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions about Vietnam and the region and showed us the real beauty of the delta. We went on several boat rides, visited local families, learned how to prepare local food, went to fruit farms, on a bicycle ride, to temples and so much more. I would highly recommend this tour.

    Mekong Delta Private Tour
Excellent trip with an excellent guide, full of knowledge and history of Vietnam . A true private tour of Mekong Delta. No tourist in sight, even in high season of December 2022. A great experience by visiting local markets , walk through villages, ride bikes through the rice farms and authentic Vietnamese lunch at a local farmers home with a view of rice farms. Everything was so well organized and the tour went like clock work. I highly recommend this tour to anyone enjoys to learn about local history and gets 100% attention and not be in a large group of tourists where you are following a guy with a flag on a stick.

Worth it for a more authentic experience
This tour is definitely worth it. I hardly saw any tourists. The scenery is beautiful and the guide, Nguyen Lee, was knowledgeable and kind. He was always helpful and willing to answer questions. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a more authentic experience. It’s worth the extra money if you aren’t on a shoestring budget. You get what you pay for.

Definitely off the beaten track but expensive
Excellent tour. Really did get off the beaten track. All parts of the itinerary were great .Visit to local market and the early morning visit to floating markets , floating along the Mekong were highlights, along with an amazing lunch at the homestay. Very knowledgable guide and good to have a night in Can Tho. Hotel at Can Tho was adequate but rather tired. The tour involved a lot of time in a car in order to get as far as Can Tho and the floating markets. By far the most expensive tour during our 3 1/2 weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia.

The highlight of our 2 week Vietnam trip
I went to Vietnam for two weeks with my wife for our honeymoon. I did the Cu Chi tunnel tour they offer and also a two day/one night tour of the Mekong Delta with floating market. These tours stand as perhaps the highlight of the entire trip and I can't recommend them enough. It may have ended up being one of the more expensive tours on our trip, but it was worth every cent and on any future trips (I hope) I would probably choose to do the even longer tours. In general: Guides were amazing, knowledgeable, great English, and thoughtful. They did a lot to make us feel like we were just friends that they were showing around. They supplied plenty of water to stay hydrated, and lots of little snacks and drinks that we expressed interest in trying were purchased for us at no additional cost. For instance we expressed that one fruit we wanted to try was Durian and the next day they provided one for us to try! They offered to take many photos and videos. Truly felt like we were able to connect to locals and get to know the area and its customs a lot more. At the one hotel we stayed at in Can Tho they must have passed on that it was our honeymoon because they had rose petals on the bed and towels arranged like swans making a heart which was nice. They also dropped us off at the airport to catch our flight out of Saigon. I could honestly write pages about everything we did, but in short it was truly amazing, and they went above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience.

A wonderful day trip to the Mekong Delta
What an amazing day we had with Hien! We are a family of four (two teenagers) and we all loved the tour. We did so many fun and interesting things on our one day trip to the Mekong Delta, all interspersed with plenty of time to relax and recharge, so we never felt tired. We started with a visit to Cao Dai temple, then on to Can Duoc wet market where we met so many friendly market stall holders and learned about local produce. Then on to Tan Hoa village for a scooter ride - this was the highlight for us all and absolutely amazing! We visited a dragon fruit farm where we tried the fruit straight from the tree and met the very friendly owners. We saw the rice fields and afterwards ate a wonderful home cooked meal with the freshest seafood! Then on to Mythos dock for a boat ride and a transfer to a sampan, so we could float down the canal, listening to the birdsong and admiring the mangroves and coconut trees. So peaceful and so beautiful. Throughout the trip Hien was attentive and informative and he made the trip very special. He knows everything about the area and you learn so much from him. This tour is a world apart from the touristic bus tours - we didn’t see another tourist on our trip! It is absolutely worth every penny. Thank you, Hien, from all of us!

An off of the beaten track experience with expert guide
This trip is an excellent way to experience a local village, local market and the Mekong Delta. The whole day gave us a flavour of real Vietnam, meeting local people and eating fresh seafood in local restaurants. Throughout the day we did not see any other tourists and felt that we had an authentic experience. Our guide (Lee) was knowledgeable on many subjects and answered lots of our questions varying from tropical fruits, farming, life in rural areas to politics. The day was full of activities but never felt rushed and the time seamed to pass quickly as there was so much to take in throughout the day. As this was a private tour, the activities could be tailored to what we wanted to see and how long we wanted to spend at each part. I highly recommend this package to anyone wanting to see a non-tourist side of Vietnam and the Mekong Delta.

In November we had the pleasure to experience both Mekong Delta tour and Cu Chi tunnels tour and we were extremely satisfied. Our guide had great knowledge about the places and their past. Considering the Cu Chi tunnels tour - he told us so much about history, and the construction of the tunnels, we were able to visit also the real tunnels, we saw some traps and weapons and stuff… but without the guide we wouldn’t really get anything from this place. I recommend this tour and also the Mekong delta tour so much, it was one of my absolute favorites from Vietnam!!

Cu Chi tunnel was the location of several military campaign during Vietnam war and was the base of operation for Vietcong in 1968. Used as hiding spot in the immense network of interconnecting 2.5 m deep underground tunnels and 250 km long.

This also served as communication and supply route for food and weapons. Having number of camouflaged traps, booby traps to catch the American soldiers.
There are several US Tanks, field guns in display captured by Vietcong . One can also try the shots at F16, AK 47 automatic rifle.

Mr. Hien Huynh our tour guide took the three of us to the Real Chu Chi Tunnels. I have been the Chi Chi Tunnels and accompanied my friends there who are first timers. It was another great and informative tour by Hien who showed great knowledge of the Vietnam war and the Chu Chi Tunnels. Hien also assisted us in organizing a tour of Hanoi and Halong Bay. One night was on a boat cruise along Halong Bay. Hien is a great tour guide and I highly recommend him if anyone requires a tour guide while visiting Vietnam.

We opted for less touristy tunnels this time. Tang was very knowledgeable about the tunnels and the war in general, her english is very good which made the tour a lot better. Fantastic group of people on the tour, great day all round. We also visited the war Memorial (no photo inside). Nice lunch on tour at the local restaurant by the river.
I have been two sections of tunnels and this place is way much better

Dear ThereseNguyen Thank you for your positive review of your recent trip with us on T.A. You are right about Ben Duoc less touristy tunnel section as there are TWO sections of Ben Duoc and Ben Dinh. Most group tours go to Ben Dinh area as this one is closer to Saigon. Hence, they aremore touristy. Ben Duoc section is much further and really worth a visit if you have little more time and where you can find a quite place to learn more Vietnam War history. Moreover, You also walk into the war memorial where they carved the name of 44.000 people who died in this area. We are happy that you enjoyed the local meal. Again, Thank you for your traveling with us. Could you need any further assistance for your upcoming visit. Fascinating insight into how the Vietnam Cong guerilla war and how they constructed and used hundred’s of kilometres of tunnels. Opportunity to go down and get some understanding of the reality.
