Our tour guide gave a good overview but you would appreciate it more if you knew what was going on. Tunnels are packed at the moment but to be expected since it's the start of high season. The river was surprisingly interesting as well and it wasn't bad to do them both in one day.

He provided us with so many information - with his funny manner he made even historical stuff understandable. He guided us perfectly through the whole day. We learned about the family and businesses in the Mekong-Delta, but also about some history in Vietnam. He could answer all the questions we had. We visited the three Buddhas close to My Tho, and then had a boat tour on the Mekong-River to the Islands. Next stop was the honey-farm, where we had tea and fruits. Then we went to the next island, to have lunch (vegan options available), made another boat tour and learned about coconut candy. You have the chance to buy the stuff you try (honey and candy) at the different stops, but are not pushed to anything.

Toan was a great guide and had a lot of knowledge. However, most of the trip was spent during an unexpected stop (was not mentioned at all in the itinerary) at a shop where victims of agent Orange create and sell artworks. The visit to the Cu Chi tunnels was very rushed. Also, don’t expect luxury as the name suggests. It was a normal tour bus, water was not chilled, no luxury at all. You might be better of renting a smaller luxury minivan if that is what you are looking for.

This could be a very good tour - Kelvin seems like a lovely guy, and learning about the tunnels and their use during the war would be very interesting.
Unfortunately, it was very rushed. We were picked up at 8.10am and dropped off at 12.55pm, so not the six hour round trip that was advertised. This may have been because a couple in the group needed to catch a flight at 2pm, but although I have sympathy for them it isn't particularly fair for the experience of the rest of the group to suffer as a result.
A few points that could have improved pur experience are as follows:
(1) If our tour is going to be cut short for whatever reason, we ought to be told in advance. We lost out on an extra hour at the tunnels, and that inevitably impacted the quality of the tour that Kelvin was able to provide (try as he did). Put bluntly, we paid for a 6 hour trip and got less than 5.
(2) I have no issue with stopping at the crafting warehouse and learning about its purpose; I didn't feel pressured into buying anything, it's clearly serving an important purpose, and it was only a short stop. However, if it is on the itinerary then we should be told in advance - again, it's an unanticipated stop that takes time away from the activity that we have paid to do, so at the very least we should be told it is happening when we book the tickets.
(3) Kelvin did his best to give us explanations at each stop, but he was only able to give us a couple of brief lines about each stop before moving onto the next one. We also missed a lot of different stops along the way, with no explanation of what they were. I suspect that this was because he knew that we had an hour less than otherwise expected, but the result was that we didn't really learn much about the tunnels, their purpose/use, or the different activities that went on in and around them (which is, after all, the reason why people want to go on the tour).
(4) Much of point 3 could have been mitigated by Kelvin walking at the pace of the group between stops. That would have given us the opportunity to ask him questions about what we had just seen, and the various stops that we were unable to see along the way. Unfortunately, the limited time meant that after Kelvin had finished his short description of a stop, he would set off at a rate of knots to the next stop, weaving in and out of other groups and leaving the 8 of scurrying to try and keep up. Had he walked with us, at our pace, we would have had chance to speak with him and learn more about what we were, and weren't, seeing.
I'm happy to give this the benefit of the doubt, and say that our experience was the result of a need to ensure that a couple in our group could catch their flight. However, it is a real shame, as the Cu Chi tunnels have been on our list for a while, and we ended up in what felt like a slightly bemusing orienteering race.

The tour guide thin and his driver duc were lovely. Thin is very friendly full of humour and very informative. The day was heavy and humid but the rain stayed away. The tunnels are certainly worth a try even if for the shorter distance … stopping at the factory to show the disabled community making beautiful handmade crafts from seashells and egg shell with the lacquer was amazing work!
There is opportunity to shoot the guns in the range at an extra fee but I decided against it for my ears sake… got to try the tapioca root food the spillers ate in war time. I would have liked to have seen the American fighter plane but it did not seem to be part of our tour…
Still worth a trip all the same.

Sunny was an incredible tour guide, he was very engaging and answered all questions we had. The travel time is ~2 hours there, ~1.5 hours at the Cu Chi tunnels and ~2 hours back (traffic-dependent). The trip starting with a quick visit to a factory for handicapped people which had a pleasant gift shop of handmade goods. We then continued on to the Cu Chi tunnels and had a tour of the area. Sunny was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the Cu Chi tunnels including the bunkers, traps and tunnels themselves. A guide took us through a 100m stretch of tunnels which had exit points every 20m for anyone who was claustrophobic/tired. There was an opportunity to shoot different types of guns on the shooting range. We didn’t do this activity but it was 50,000 vnd per bullet and you had to buy a minimum of 10 bullets yet this could be shared between people. Overall a very interesting trip and would recommend!

This tour is a must do!! In a small group makes it a very personal experience and it is a great adventure day. Our tour guide was Lam and he was brilliant! The best tour guide I have had for anything on my travels so far. He was informative, spoke perfect english and also entertaining (cheeky karaoke on the bus back)
I would 100% recommend this trip and if you can get Lam as your guide then you can be sure of a good trip!

Really wanted to get out of HCMC to see Cu Chi. Afternoon trip took about 6 hours including 1.5 hour of travel each way. Had a great guide, Bao, who provided a lot of interesting facts with some added color from stories and some personal experiences with his family. The tour was paced well and had plenty of color to keep it interesting and I learned a lot of new information beyond what I had already read about the area. Also a great opportunity to shoot a weapon if you are so inclined. Highly recommend the tour to take a break from the city and learn something new and especially the guide , Bao, would make the trip even better

Visiting Cu Chi was like Travelling back in time to the 60's. The half day tour package organised by Kim travel was very professional, on time and exact in their offering. We had an especially good time thanks to our tour Guide Nim (Niem) who was a pocket rocket, a treasure trove of Viet history and kept us good company with informative anecdotes and humour for company. I am sure all their guides do an excellent job, but if you can ask for NIM in your future group tour, you will not regret it!

I had a chance to visit Ku Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta with Kim Travel. I must say they are one of the best travel company in Ho Chi Min city, the services provided by them is awesome without any hustle. The tour guide Ms. Nhu speaks English very well and she explained each spot in a very detailed manner. I got to know about Vietnam history too. I would surely recommend Kim Travels for tours in Vietnam. Also, the price of Kim Travel is less as compared to other tour operator in the city.

We had a brilliant half day with our lovely tour guide Toan. We learned so much about the history of Vietnam and the warfare of the Viet Kong. We got to go in the tunnels and see the different types of trap, as well as trying the traditional food they would have eaten. We also tried shooting an AK47 (additional cost) which was exciting!
Overall great value for money and we would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the tunnels and learn more about the Vietnam war.

My expectations of this tour were completely exceeded compared to what I expected and a massive part of that was due to Jack our tour guide. I assumed it would just be a walk around the tunnels with guidance of where to go however our tour guide gave us an amazing insight to the history of the war and how the tunnels were utilised. I think a big part of what made the experience was how you could tell Jack loved to teach about the history and enjoyed the tour with us. Going through the tunnels is optional but I would highly recommend it even if you are nervous. I would recommend to anyone wanting to take part in any activities in ho chi min to take part in this.

Yes, you can skip if you don't want to go - a gentleman in our group did not like small spaces either! Most of the tour is above ground anyway :)
