- Ilovefood81300Number one thing to do in Ho Chi Minh!!We were met by Quyen and Tram, our tour guides and riders for the evening at our hotel lobby. These young ladies, who spoke fluent English, expertly manoeuvred us through the seemingly chaotic Saigon traffic to various areas of town to eat some classic street food. The food was great and we were introduced to each dish by our guides and showing us the amazing side streets and alleys of Ho Chi Minh. This was the highlight of our trip to this city and we were so glad we did it. Don’t be put off with the traffic, somehow it works!! The ladies were great fun and were committed to making sure we had the best time. Highly recommend Street food Man .
- jackwU7486TW00Highlight of SaigonThis is a great tour run by Kevin who took us to loads of amazing street food locations. We tried loads of different foods and it was a very well organised trip.
- Caitlin M00Amazing, not to be missed. Thank you Van and Kevin! We had such an amazing tour with Van and Kevin. The food was incredible and it was amazing to see the city from a different perspective and speak to Van and Kevin about the Vietnamese way of life. The tour was incredibly knowledgable and definitely a highlight of our trip to Vietnam. They were able to cater to gluten free/coeliac diet really well!
- sandrawG5469XH00Amazing experience - delicious foodThe street food tour with Tanya and Joseph was an amazing experience. We were looked after very well and they told us a lot about the culture, food and way of life about Vietnam. It was just fabulous that they organized a birthday cake as a big surprise. We can recommend this tour 100%!
- P3921JCmandyl00Delightful blend of flavours and fascinating insights!Absolutely don’t miss out on this incredible food tour in Ho Chi Minh City! It goes beyond just delicious food. Request Kevin and Tianne as your guides, and you’re in for an extraordinary experience. Their fluent English ensures seamless conversations, and Kevin’s passion and knowledge about Vietnam make the journey incredibly fascinating. Highly recommended experience!
- J2888VWannas00Awesome tour with great hostsThe tour was absolutely fantastic! We enjoyed every minute. Not only we had the chance to sample loads of delicious meals but also visit parts of the city we wouldn't have on our own. Gracie and Stephen were fantastic hosts, very knowledgeable and great company. We would definitely recommend.
- Carolpatmay00If you decide to do a street food tour then do this one!We had the absolute pleasure of Gracie and Tillian taking us on our street food tour (second with Gracie) and it was superb as always. As we’d been before they made a point of taking us to completely different places. We loved that they knew this was a repeat visit and tailored the food, not only to a return visit but also to my likes and dislikes. They were fantastic company, great drivers, good fun and made the whole experience absolutely superb once again. Thank you both for being excellent guides, wonderful company and extremely informative about everything! You are a credit to your company and we’ll definitely be back… again!! Many thanks Carol and Peter May xx
- helenacZ3014XA00Street Food Man Is The Best!!!Robert was a great tour guide. He took us in the local streets and back alleys of Ho Chi Minh City. We personally loved the tour. I would recommend this to anyone trying out local street food.
- alexrY4844LR00Majestic street food motorbike tourI had a majestic night in Ho Chi Minh with Robert and Gracie. We had a cross city street food tour and feast. We were deftly scooted to each location as passengers on the back of motorbikes. It was definitely the best way to see a variety of locations and experiences. I recommend eating a light lunch (or no lunch) as you'll get to try many different foods and drinks. Both Robert and Gracie are expert local guides, friendly and charming. They made sure we had a fun and exciting night that is a must do for any visitor to the city.
- Romark George A... P00Wonderful Foodtrip!!!!!We were not expecting that the tour would be like that. We thought that they’re just going to drop us somewhere to eat some street food but nope. They explained the dishes and how to eat them the “correct” way, gave us the history of some buildings/structures (this one is a plus since we thought we’re just going to eat!) Harry and Quinnie also make sure that we are safe while riding and getting off the motorcycle (they always make sure that we wear our helmets, where to stay while waiting for them, etc.) They even told us the best spots to go to since the whole tripduration is not enough to explore Vietnam. We didn't feel that they were our tour guide, we felt as if they were our friends showing us their hometown. I would definitely recommend you esp Harry and Quinnie!!! Dô!!!
- cairah202300The bestMy experience with our food tour guide (Harry and Queeny) in Ho Chi Minh City was absolutely fantastic! Their extensive knowledge of the city's history, culture, and hidden gems truly brought the tour to life. Their enthusiasm and passion for sharing local stories made every moment engaging and memorable. Their knack for personalizing the experience to our interests ensured we explored not just the popular sights but also off-the-beaten-path treasures. Their guidance in navigating the vibrant streets and markets made us feel comfortable and immersed in the local atmosphere. Overall, an outstanding guide who made our time in Ho Chi Minh City unforgettable. Highly recommended!
- jakejD1790CQ00Great night eating across the cityMy wife and I had such a great time with Harry and Tiane as our guides. They were so fun to hang out with throughout the night. Riding on their scooters was an awesome way to see various districts of the city. The food they chose to show us was amazing. Highly recommend!
- kevinhO6485VQ00A+ tourKevin and Catherine were incredible tour guides for us. I didn't heavily research HCMC that much before this trip, so learning about the different neighborhoods while traveling with them between food stops was super educational. There was a nice balance of different delicious foods, and it's definitely more than enough for most people. Both my partner and I have limited experience riding motorbikes as passengers, and we felt very safe the whole time. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who's visiting Saigon from abroad.
- jendao00A fun & great way to start your adventure! After a glowing recommendation from my friend, I booked Street Food Man’s private motorbike food tour for my partner and I. This was our first time in Vietnam and although I am Vietnamese-American and have a general idea of the street food scene, this tour exceeded all my previous expectations and completely expanded my knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine. Our guides, Kevin Dao and Catherine, met us at our hotel and biked us safely and speedily across many districts. We truly appreciated their passion, expertise and hospitality! We learned so many fun facts and shared many laughs throughout the 4 hours we spent together. The tour included so much food and drink! My partner and I got to sample different beers at certain stops too. We were so full by the end of it. Our personal faves were the bánh khọt, kem dừa (coconut ice cream), sugarcane & kumquat juice and scallops at the last stop. Kevin and Catherine even prepared some surprises during the tour! Highly recommended to book a tour near the beginning of your trip since it was a super fun way to get to know neighborhoods and specialities of the city~ I’ll remember this wonderful experience for a very long time.
- justineI8249MV00Spectacular Motorbike and Food Experience around Ho Chi Minh!A must-do food tour to experience the amazing food at popular local spots in Ho Chi Minh. Our tour guides, Sam and Nhung, provided exceptional services that went above and beyond what we expected. They maneuvered around the city like pros and got us to all the locations safely. The food choices were spectacular and with variety. They did a great job accommodating to our dietary needs. They also provided history content of the city along the way to our destinations which was a bonus. Highly would recommend Sam and Nhung and also the street food man tour to anyone wanting to experience Ho Chi Minh to the fullest via motorbike. Wouldn’t want to experience Ho Chi Minh any other way.

We can't fault this street food tour! All the vendors that we stopped at were amazing with the nicest freshest food. It was lovely to see residential parts of the city. Our tour guide Su was absolutely lovely - so friendly, chatty and provided us with lots of interesting information. Would highly recommend taking the tour in order to sample the city's best street food!
Just make sure you arrive with an empty stomach. There's a lot of food to get through.

We highly recommend this street food tour. We are in our early 60’s and have travelled extensively, and food is always an important part of our travels. HCM is a large city, so having a guide take us to great local eateries was an absolute treat. We walked through parts of Saigon we would not have ventured into, other than with a guide. The ‘real’ Saigon! Food was terrific, and plentiful ... unbelievably we couldn’t finish the final platter of amazing scallops! Mary, our young guide, was just terrific - not only very informative, but we felt we had made a lovely new friend by the end of the evening. What a terrific girl, who made us feel so very comfortable even though we are older than her parents! We rarely take tours, but this tour is not to be missed. The highlight of our Vietnam holiday so far. Thank you Mary!

Four of us joined Azura for the evening walking food tour. She was very accommodating, not only organizing transport from a different location (we were out) but also meeting us there before the start of the tour. She was very professional, confirming our dietary requirements up front and arranging suitable substitutions for each stop on the tour. The tour took us to interesting places that we would never have even known existed let alone visited, and the food at every stop was amazing!! The only problem we had was that we ate too much at every stop. We recommend that you try and pace yourselves, however the food is so good that you’ll probably fail like we did. Azura was very friendly and personable, and really made us feel very comfortable throughout the whole night. We all had great fun and would definitely recommend this tour as a “must do” for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh city (and request for Azura if you can, for a great night!).

Dear Anthony,
It was nice to hear your compliments about Azura and tour. I am so glad, that you had a great time! Azura is indeed a great guide. Although the food scene is fantastic our excellent team of guides make it happen. We totally agree you should arrive with room in your bellies to start eating the yummy tastings... maybe a light snack to avoid the hanger! ;) We hope you come back and visit us again very soon. 😄

Went on a walking tour with Azura on New Year's Eve along with a few friends. We had already been in the city for a few days so had tried various dishes, but it was a completely different experience having someone explain the dishes we were eating, how they are normally consumed, and add some context to the neighborhood we were walking through. We had a fantastic experience with Azura who was friendly and happy to answer all our questions, and the food was all delicious. My only recommendation would be to pace yourself so you aren't too full by the time you get to the end!

The 1st food tour we did in HCM City was 6 years ago and it was a food tour on motorbike. We enjoyed it so thoroughly that we decided to do another food tour this time, except on foot. It was raining heavily and we couldn't get to our hotel on time to meet Tony our guide, but he made his way to us in a cab. Tony brought us to several food stops which we would otherwise not discover by ourselves.
We had Banh knot, Banh xeo, Bo la lot , Banh Cuon Trung, Bahn Mi, grilled shrimps on skewers, fried seafood noodles, bbq chicken wings, home made ice cream.... Tony also brought along a small bottle of what he called the "Happy Drink" which certainly made us very happy lol...
Tony took care of us while we were weaving between streets and alleys by making sure we crossed the chaotic HCM streets safely and he went to great lengths explaining each dish to us - from the ingredients to the origins of the dish. The food was delicious, needless to say, as they were all popular food stops that even the locals frequent.
My husband, my friend and I absolutely enjoyed the food tour and would recommend it highly, esp to those of u who visit HCM for the 1st time, or to those who want to try local dishes outside of the touristy areas. Kudos to Street Food man and Tony!

Seven was an incredible guide last night! He took 4 Americans who speak no Vietnamese and guided us around for three hours in several neighborhoods. We ate the most spectacular Vietnamese food in seven different outdoor restaurants! He explained every dish and everything about each ingredient. They were all very different and delicious! We drank sugar cane syrup with kumquat. It’s delicious! We topped dinner off with ice cream! His manner and explanations where the best I have heard since my arrival here. His English is perfect and understanding of complex issues and explanations were incredible! We could not have received a better guide or into to Vietnamese foods! Thanks!!

Hello ShirlKS,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on TripAdvisor. We appreciate it very much. I am glad you had a great time last week with Steven. He is one of the best street food guides in my team and I am happy to have him now with us. I take great care in selecting the stops and I always like to include some of the latest food too. A big bonus was the Foodies Festival on walking tour of course. I hope, you had a great time in the evening too and hopefully, I have given you many good excuses to return to HCMC. 😊

One of the most interesting, entertaining and educational food tours we’ve done.
Yun was our private guide and she was amazing- polite, friendly & knowledgeable.
Every single food stop was excellent and we learned many things about Vietnamese food , things that we will take with us back home. Yun also gave us lots of information and stories about local Vietnamese culture, and we were able to ask all sorts of questions we had.
The food was so plentiful that we couldn’t finish it all towards the end - and I usually have a huge appetite and never turn down food.
The private tour cost was excellent value for money, and if you have the time I’d absolutely recommend booking this tour.
Thank you so much Yun!
We booked / confirmed/ communicated with Vinny via WhatsApp- he is super helpful and friendly, and always responds immediately.
This is an excellent company and I can’t recommend it more highly.

This tour is an ABSOLUTE MUST!
A fantastic introduction to some of the local districts and the freshest, healthiest, most delicious Vietnamese food.
I cannot recommend our guide, Finn, highly enough.
Finn’s enthusiasm and passion for food, was infectious. He took us to places we would never have found in a guide book.... Places that locals eat in.
Amazing dishes that we would never have ordered on our own, in a restaurant.
Finn taught us about the beautiful fresh herbs and leaves that accompany many of the dishes and at each stop, we had water, tried local drinks and drank Vietnamese beer and wine!
This food tour is a little more expensive than some of the other food tours, but worth every single dong!
It was a private tour consisting of just our family, so we were very well looked after.
We also made friends with another couple who were with their own Street Food Man tour.
We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel by Finn.
The food and drink was plentiful, very generous serves and of an exceedingly high standard.
This tour was the best introduction to Vietnamese hospitality.

We are three newbies to south east Asia, on our first visit to Vietnam. Having spent a few days in Hanoi, we realised we didn't know how to approach the food scene, so as we arrived in Ho Chi Min City we decided to book our self a motorbike food tour with Street Food Man.
The tour offered 10 stops around the city, including food and local lifestyle.
Attention to detail and customer care was excellent from the very first contact. We were immediately sent a WhatsApp not only to verify if each one of us had any food preferences or dietary requirements, but also our height and weight (I'm a quite tall 1.93 and over 100kg!) in order to pair us with the appropriate driver.
Right at the appointed time three lovely young women, the fantastic Lisa, Ana and Chloe, turned up at our hotel lobby, equipped with helmets for all of us.
From the very beginning their lovely bubbly and kind attitude conquered our hearts. They explained in detail what the tour consisted on, and the various stops we were going to make, alternating street food and local life to pace the dinner over the 4 hours we spent together.
The evening continued in the most pleasant manner throughout. Lisa and her colleagues were kind enough as to explain and make us taste the the various types of leaves used to roll the delicious Vietnamese pancakes, while describing how they are made to achieve the right textures. I'm a foodie and it made my day! This was only the start of a two wheels moving feast! We continued our tour through the bustling heavy traffic of the city, always feeling totally safe on our scooters. The menu, sort of speak, was varied and full of surprises, both on the food choice, which included a wonderful beef stew, followed by a lovely and refreshing coconut ice-cream, served in the coconuts, some ten minutes later in a completely different part of town.
We made one last stop to savour some really fresh spectacular little scallops served in their shells with a variety of herbs and a spicy citric sauce to accompany them (may be my fav, even though it's a difficult choice), and a little coffee soaked creme caramel in a very lively city district, full of music and party at that time. Throughout the evening we were shown some American built apartment blocks, a food market, a flower market and many more little typical Saigon spots.
At the end of the adventure we were safely brought back home, fully satiated, both literally and spiritually!
It goes without saying that we very highly recommend The Street Food Man. Ask for Lisa to be your guide! You won't regret it!

Our evening with guide Azura of Street Food Man was the highlight of our visit to Vietnam so far. She gave us a wonderful crash course on eating and living in Saigon. The whole city was so welcoming -- families on motorbikes shouting "hello", street chefs happy to have a picture taken. And the food! It was not just another bunch of spring rolls. Scallops like I've never tasted, lemongrass clams, and so many ways to use rice batter. Learned that I've never had real bahn mi before, and I want more.

Hi, we are in Ho Chi Minh 0n the night of 2 March and would be interested in this tour. One of us has recently had a knee operation and does not walk quickly. She also uses a wheeled walking frame (not a wheelchair) Would it be possible for us to do this tour? Do you pick up from the port where Azamara Quest will be docked?

BTW the walking tour was great just if you have mobility problems both it and the streets in Ho Chi Minh are simply unsuitable for those with mobility issues so some alternative needs to be sought. Most of our time was on a tour which included buses between locations included in the tour

No problem. You can elect to exclude meat if you wanted to.
As for alcohol, I did not drink any during my tour. There were plenty of non alcoholic beverages available at every stop.
Hi, we don't arrive in Ho Chi Minh until 4:30. What time does the tour start? And can we change it up if its too early? :)

We have a big group of 11 people - 6 adults and 5 kids. Is this too big? Would we be better the split into smaller groups? Are kids the same price as adults? Kids are 12 - 16.
