Nam is an excellent guide who is passionate about telling the stories of the Long Tan Battle between the Australian and Vietnam military, the Nui Dat Australian base and the fascinating tactics of both sides as they endeavoured to get the upper hand. Importantly, Nam brings the historical events alive with firsthand stories from Vietnam Veterans and their families. Nam arrived early to our hotel and explained the day’s itinerary. We travelled in a very comfortable vehicle with good aircon. After Long Tan we had a delicious lunch at a Vung Tau restaurant with beautiful views of the beach. Our host pampered us with cold water, plenty of bathroom stops snd took photos of us together. We highly recommend this tour and our guide Nam and very competent driver.

One of the most uplifting tours i've ever been on, our tour guide Chris being an ex vet gave insight into the war and conditions that you couldn't imagine. Highly recommend anyone visiting Vietnam to do this tour.

This was the perfect tour, seamlessly organised by the Maika group and everything ran smoothly. Our guide Tien was knowledgeable and highly engaging, we were very well cared for and comfortable the entire time. Tour activities and planned outings were exactly as described and exceeded our expectations, this tour was truly private also making it a very unique experience and highly worth paying for. Would recommend this to any travellers wishing to do a short trip the Mekong that includes all the main sites without having to rush.

A very special and interesting tour for Australians. We visited the Nui Dat base and the Long Tan memorial. We saw the rubber plantations and were shown pictures of what the area was like during the war. We also visited the Long Phuoc tunnels. We went to Vung Tau for a delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing this part of Vietnam. A wonderful day.

Vietnam has been on our bucket list for a while, but we had some hesitation, especially bringing a manual wheelchair to Vietnam. We searched and found Maika Tours and we must say, it was an experience that surpassed all our expectations. All three guides were trained to handle clients with a wheelchair in a professional and very friendly manner. We felt comfortable from the first minute we met. We travelled in a large and very comfortable van with careful and helpful drivers. All Hotels were carefully chosen according to the accessibility with a wheelchair and met our expectations and some even exceeded. We arrived in Vietnam meeting new people and left as friends. This was the only must on my Dad's request for his recent visit to Vietnam & it did not disappoint. Nam provided the whole story of the battle at Long Tan passionately & sensitively. He pointed out significant landmarks. Lunch by the seaside was a great relaxing way to end the day. Nam took care of my parents, catered to their needs & the driver was courteous (and always smiling).

My husband and I really enjoyed the half day cyclo tour with Mr. Hung from Maika Tours! Mr. Hung is very knowledgeable about the city and history, having lived much of his life in Saigon, and he spoke passionately about the sights and his related experiences. Plus the cyclo (one for each of my husband and I) was an amazingly unique way to experience the city. Highly recommend this tour and Mr. Hung, and the bahn mi he got for us was amazing too!

We had the best tour guide, Chris, show us around the Cu Chi Tunnel, Liberation area and Shooting range. On our way we had a bonus stop over at a local lacquerware run by war victims of the Agent Orange and saw how these beautiful products were made. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, he gave us a quick history lesson on the War in Vietnam which we thoroughly enjoyed! The tour itself was very well organised, flexible with regards to things that we wanted to see/do. We had a pleasant journey to and fro, with a good driver take us around. The highlight of course was the tunnel experience at Ben Duoc, and it wasn't crowded! Overall, would highly recommend this tour and do ask for Chris! 😊

Maika Tours were excellent. For ANZAC Day 2024 they adjusted the pick up time in Ho Chi Minh City so that we could attend the 5am ANZAC Day dawn commemoration at the Long Tan Cross. The driver and guide were very professional. We received a very knowlegeable tour of Long Tan, Nui Dat and Vung Tau. I highly recommend the visit and tour.
