A very long day, but we fit in so many adventures. Our guide, Mr. Le, was funny, knowledgeable and energetic and made the trip great. His life experience (he is 76!) added to his understanding of Saigon and the delta over the years, and provided extra insights. From the morning at the floating market in Cai Rang, to the fruit orchard, the gorgeous Khmer pagoda, and then on to the family coconut business, it was all amazing. Three boat rides in one day, lots of interactions with locals, and water and air conditioning at every van interval. We would definitely choose this tour again, especially if he is our guide. I would add that this might not be the right tour for anyone not comfortable in small boats.

What a fantastic day! Nut , our guide was very informative and fun. At 77yrs young he had many wonderful stories and knowledge that kept us intrigued throughout the day. The day is long and action packed and a highlight our trip so far. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Nick was an excellent host and guide, very passionate about his country. We read that the other floating markets were much quieter and we wanted a more real experience. This was it at Cai Rang. Had to get up very early but we could not find anyone else who offered this tour so I recommend this. You need to go early so you see the floating market at it's best. There was plenty more to do and see on the very full-day tour. Recommended.

We decided to do the day tour to the Cai Rang Floating Markets from HCMC, and in hindsight I'm so glad we did, it was worth the 4am start. We looked at all the options eg. 2D1N to Cai Rang (we didn't want to take 2 days out of our trip), 1D tour to Cai Be (Even tour operators told us we may be disappointed), 1D Melong Delta - My Tho/BenTre (after seeing this as part of our tour anyway, we would have been disappointed if this was the only thing we saw).
Our guide was Tam, who was great! Friendly, helpful, great English, very informed, and we won't hold it against him that he supports Man Utd. Most of all though, when we visited some of the local businesses he was with us at all times and we never felt uncomfortable or pressured to spend.
The day started with a pick up at 4am, 3 hours drive to Cai Rang and Tam suggested we sleep which we did for a bit. Arrived at Cai Rang and had a look at the local land market, food was amazingly fresh and people were friendly. We then took a small boat through the floating markets which was a great experiance. We got breakfast and tried pineapple on the boats too (all included in price), and visited a rice paper/vermicelli business which was really interesting, and a fruit orchard and tried some new fruits. The best thing about going on the 4am Private Day tour instead of the 2 day tour was we were there way before all the other tour groups arrived in their big tour boats, we saw them arriving as we were leaving, phew! Then off to Ben Tre, we got to ride in a Sampan and a local island tuk tuk. We had local elephant ear fish as well as chicken/rice/noodles for lunch. We also visted where they do reed looming to make mats and other products, where they produce coconut sweets, snake liquor, brick makers etc. Mid afternoon we headed back to HCMC and laughed at all the unusual things we could spot on a moped.....the funniest was a man carrying about 20 bags of live ducks quaking LOL. We got back to our hotel, and then relaxed by the pool with a cocktail....What a great day, thank you Tam

We arranged a private trip through Kim Travel to take us from Ho Chi Minh City to Chau Doc.
The day was long but we visited a floating market, the Mekong Delta, a fruit farm, a local market, a crocodile farm and a bird sanctuary in the jungle.
Special thanks to our guide “Le Duy Nhu’t” who was excellent. He explained a lot about local history & culture with a very entertaining style.
Our driver “Mr Quang” was professional throughout.
Worth the cost overall & we would recommend.

It was an amazing tour with Mr Le Duy Nhut (Nick). He picked us up on time from the hotel. He gave us a lot of stories and we were able to find out about the history and life of Vietnamese people. We spent hours chatting and having fun. We have seen a land market and floating market, candy factory, brick factory, fruit orchard, learned how to make mats, had a nice boat ride on the river and small canals. The food was delicious and water available. What we liked about this trip is that we didn’t have to buy anything and we had been really looked after by Mr Le Duy Nhut - nothing was too much trouble.

We took the 1day private tour from HCMC I o the Mekong delta. This was the perfect tour for us since we didn’t have time for a 2day-trip but wanted to witness the Can Tho floating market in the morning. We started at 4am and had a perfect day with our guide Nick, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and open-minded. We would book the tour again and recommend it to everybody.

However, we did to to the Cai Rang floating market. We really enjoyed going there, and a highlight was the friendliness of every vendor and the professionalism of our boat captain. Good pictures, he posed us in the bow and it became kind of an adventure and play experience, meeting great people, tying up our boat next to the vendors' boats, and wow, just a great experience. Get a coconut to drink from. The water inside is pure. No tummy consequences from drinking a whole one. What a blast!
