Overview
Located about 70 km to the northwest of HCMC, Cu Chi tunnel is the miniature of the creative and transformed battle of Cu Chi people and soldiers in the fierce fight, lasting for 30 years against the aggressors for independence, freedom of the country. With its victory scale, Cu Chi tunnel went into the history of heroic struggle of the Vietnamese as a legend of the 20th century and became famous in the world. This is a unique and incomparable wonder with 250 km tunnel spreading like cobwebs underground, with the completion of works associated with the tunnels such as trenches, docks, fighting places, tunnels for eating, sleeping, meetings, activities, military, food storage, water wells, Hoang Cam stoves...
Highlights
  • Personalized experience of Cu Chi Tunnels: choice of private or small-group tour
  • Delicious Vietnamese lunch at Tan Cang resort
  • Choice of morning or afternoon tour available
  • Hassle-free hotel pickup and drop-off to Ho Chi Minh City
What to Expect
After pickup from your Ho Chi Minh City hotel, transfer to Tang Cang pier and set sail aboard a speedboat along the Saigon River. During the cruise, admire the scenery and tuck into a light breakfast of pastries and fresh fruit on board.
At the Cu Chi Tunnels, watch a short video presentation and learn how the Viet Cong used the 155-mile (250-kilometer) network of underground tunnels as command centers, ammunition stores, field hospitals, and war bunkers during the Vietnam War. Then, follow your guide on a tour of the tunnels and experience the fascinating site firsthand, as you crawl into the tunnels, pose for photos peeking out of a camouflaged trapdoor, or visit the shooting range (own expense).
After the tour, transfer to the Tan Cang resort for a delicious Vietnamese-style lunch, before cruising back to Ho Chi Minh City. Your tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.
