- Q4074XVjoanner0 contributionsWas a lovely experiencePick up and drop off from our hotel went smoothly. Nice big boat with heaps of people. We had the set menu whilst others on the boat had the buffet. I enjoyed most of the meals, desert was a shared bowl of some strange fruit, like a lychee. I believe we paid the same price as the buffet customers who got a lot more food and had greater selection than us. The entertainment was a bit limited as there were multiple levels of the boat so the singers had to get everywhere. Was very hot on board, they could have used some air conditioning, luckily we were near a balcony. The sights were great and the city was lit up. I asked for some ice to put in my wine and was given a piece about the size of small can of soft drink, it barely fit in the glass but cooled my drink and gave us a laugh.Written July 18, 2023

- 195496terry0 contributionsWorse dinner cruise on Saigon River in 7 yearsCalled this the deluxe cruise! This makes me laugh... In 2019January I was on the Saigon Princess for the Dinner cruise and that dinner cruise out shined the one I was just on. The one in January 2019 was raining so hard that we could not depart the dock and had the dinner while tied up to the dock and entertainment there. There was also dancing on the floor.. This dinner cruise was "the worse " I have be on in Saigon in my 7 years of coming here... The boat had no motor running, used a tug boat to guide it up and down the river... The entertainment stopped playing and disappeared when the boat left the shore... As for the dinner! I am allergic to shellfish and was reading the tags for the food and ended up with fried rice that had baby shrimp in the rice and was not listed on the tag to alert the customers that are allergic... Good thing I brought my allergy medication!!! you could have had a huge problem on your hands....Written April 23, 2023

- Connector3171160 contributionsTerribly disappointingGuide was totally unprofessional. Made derogatory comments about women and people from specific foreign countries. The women steering the boat told us how tired they were and literally raced us down the river. Did not feel like an authentic tour.Written April 5, 2023
- X8154HMlindaj0 contributionsMeandering on the MekongWhat a wonderful day! Our guide “Fully” and our phenomenal driver picked us up in the morning and off we went through crazy busy rush hour traffic. As we made our way toward the Mekong Delta “Fully” shared info about the city we were leave and the fertile delta we were approaching. Once at the river port We travelled from island to island in by boat and made our way on foot, by tuktuk and down a natural canal through the sugar palms by “rowboat”. We were able to visit several local “industries” and took full advantage buying handmade sweets and crafts. Fascinating demonstrations! This was all topped off by a super 7 course lunch at the river side, followed by “coconut” time on the way back to the mainland. A final temple visit ended the day—just amazing! Thank you “Fully”!!Written April 3, 2023
- patricklee3170 contributionsDecent tourThis was a very scenic tour. I enjoyed visiting of the history of the Buddhist temple, the sampan boat ride along the Ben Tre river, and trying local fruits. We also had lunch at an interesting outdoor restaurant and were given a demo on how coconuts were harvested and made into candy, which we had the opportunity to buy. Our guide, Andy, was kind and thoughtful. There were a few things that I wish could have gone better: 1. The paid lunch was mediocre. It consisted of a whole fried fish (one per group of 3-4 people) that was dry, along with some curry chicken, fried banana flowers, and soup. One thing to note: you do have the option to buy more food and beverages at the restaurant, which we didn't do. I'm sure the food was suitable for local palates but it was just OK to me. 2. At the conclusion of our last stop on the tour (a canoe ride down the river), our tour bus driver got lost on the way to our meeting point so we were standing on the side of the road for about an hour in the heat until he found us. According to Andy, the driver didn't know how to use the navigation app, which may have contributed to the delay. Just a heads up that this could happen again. All in all, it was not a bad tour experience. Worth checking out if you are interested in venturing outside of Ho Chi Minh City!Written April 2, 2023

Would not recomend the tour, very touristy and not very organized place. Long lines to see tunnels and traps, felt rushed when trying entry wholes to tunnels since it was a lot of people in line.
Also the shooting range was very expensive.
The best thing with the tour was our guide Japan who was very nice and informative. Told lots of interesting and fun stories and answered all our questions!

Our tour guide Fully (or Toan) played a big role in the success of our trip to Cu Chi. He is genuinely friendly, considerate, respectful, and passionate about what he does. We’re a small group of curious people therefore asked many questions about history and culture. His knowledge and English skills amazed us. 🤩
The program for the day was very straightforward and easy to get through. Personally, this is my third trip to Cu Chi (but this time with my wife and parents in law), and it is my most favourite visit, I learnt a lot from Fully. This time round also managed to make us all a bit emotional when leaving Cu Chi.
We highly recommend this trip and the tour guide Fully to anyone interested to a short and straightforward trip to the Cu Chi tunnels!! 😊

Avoid using this tour company at all costs. We paid $216 for the half day Cu Chi Tunnels tour and our confirmation said to meet at the hotel lobby at 8am.
8am came and went so we called the tour company to find out if they were on their way. They came up with several conflicting excuses “running late. Just waiting for other guests”, “we came but you weren't there” (we were), etc. In short they never showed up and then refused a refund. So we wasted half a day in Ho Chi Minh and had to rebook the tour with another company and all up it cost is over $400 for a family of 4. The customer service from this group was atrocious - they were rude, unhelpful and the whole thing felt scammy. I would avoid!!
The tunnels themselves were fascinating and worth a visit though.

Was a good experience overall, educative and informative on history of Vietnam. Our tour guide was Mr. Typhoon Honey, who guided us well throughout the tour with informative tit-bits from history, a sincere man with a sense of humor, knows his job well, arrived on time for pickup, the vehicle was clean and well air conditioned, dropped us back as scheduled. What else can one ask for. Worth the buck spent. It was an eye opening trip on human endurance.

we travel to Vietnam during its high season of traveling so the tunnels was so crowded as we took this trip in the morning. Pickup was on time then it took us 1 and a half hour to get there. Thao our guide was such a professional guide - very smart in every step to stay away from the crowds. The tour is an eye-opening experience that we would never be able to do it by our own.
Wellworth the money!

Typhoon Honey Darling (tour guide) made us laugh, looked after us and made this experience memorable and informative esp the historical narrative. We had just enough time at the site, enough time to explore the site/tunnels as well as short rest breaks. Pick up from our hotel was prompt, ride was comfortable & Son our driver was very careful - Thank you for a fantastic experience. Definitely would recommend!

Learning the history and the details of the hard and painstaking lifestyle the VC had to endure, while maintaining their underground tunnel network was very interesting. Typhoonhoney was my guide, and he was very knowledgeable and fun to have as my brother for the day!
Highly recommend firing a historical firearm from the time period at the shooting range also. The AK47 being my pick!

We visited the Cu chi tunnels on the afternoon, which was a good pick since weather was slightly cooler than in the morning. We spent around 1.5 hours at the site, which felt like enough time to see and experience everything, while still not getting too dragged out. We had Lana as tour guide, who was very helpful and sweet, and gladly answered all of our questions. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent tour with Japan! Japan is an enthusiastic and knowledgable tour guide who made the tour especially interesting. The Cu Chi tunnels themselves were fascinating. We had a small group of about 8 people on a comfortable minibus from HCMC. Would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Cu Chi tunnels!

Hi,
I was hoping to go to Cu Chi tommorrow. I am travelling with 3 adults and 2 children (3 & 1 years old) is your tour ok for children including the bus trip? We are also staying in vinhomes central park, do you pick up from there or do we get a taxi into discrict 1?
Cheers
Hi, You will need to check with your travel provider as to pick up but generally they will pick you up from any location. The tour will be OK for your children although you need to remember this is a war memorial attraction and therefore children need to be supervised and let to run around where the tunnels are located.

We took 2 tours with this company. 1 we paid at the end of the tour. Another we paid at the beginning. Some people paid when they book. I think if you paid during booking you get more payment options. We paid VND cash. Check with the tour agent.

In all honesty I’m not entirely sure! It was very busy when we went, but we saw everything and it wasn’t a problem.
