- mac89150 contributionsMekong Delta TourBen, our guide, picked us up from our city centre hotel and took us to the Mekong Delta, it was around a hour and 10 min trip though could be quicker if the traffic was calmer. We stopped to see the Buddahs and temple quite close to the river before embarking on our first boat trip of the day. We went to see the small bees and held them before tasting honey tea. We sailed on to another island where we saw some traditional folk singers and had some fruits and tea that were all plucked locally. This was followed by a relaxing boat trip along a tranquil river being paddled by a local lady followed by lunch. Lunch was held in a big thatched roof restaurant, the choice of food placed in front of us was lovely and tasted so good. Unfortunatly this is where the tour finished as we had to travel back to Saigon. It was a great day with a very informative guide and would recommend this to anyone who has the time, especially as a private tour. Thanks Ben, we both really enjoyed it.Written January 8, 2020

- Rachel P0 contributionsTour of Na TrangMy husband and I had previously used Elegant travel for the Cu Chi tunnels tour and it was amazing. This time we were on a cruise which was due to dock at Ho Chi Minh city. Due to an issue, we were diverted to Na Trang. We had booked and paid for our private tour for 13. I emailed Elegant expecting that we had blown our money. With one days notice, they offered to take us on a tour in Na Trang instead! We were collected at the port, taken to the countryside. We saw clay pots being made as well as locals weaving mats. The kids even had a go! We had lunch in a local restaurant and the food was amazing (beef in bamboo). Then off on a boat for a cruise on the Cai River. We were collected and taken to a lovely temple. By this time we were all stuffed so we were delivered back to our ship in plenty of time. I cannot thank Elegant enough for accommodating us at short notice. We cannot fault them.Written May 14, 2018
- Brittany B0 contributionsTunnels & Delta in one day.. Amazing! My husband and I went on this tour in September 2017 when we were visiting Vietnam and we were not disappointed! In fact, it was much better than we even expected. I was worried about how much time we would get at the tunnels & the delta since we were fitting them all in in one day but we had plenty of time at each and got to see so much! Phong, our tour guide, was the best! He was so knowledgeable and really fun to spend the day with. Our driver, Hi, was also really friendly and made sure we got everywhere safely. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see both the tunnels & mekong but on a limited schedule.Written February 19, 2018
- Filurifax0 contributionsGreat tour guide and driverWe had a splendid day together with our excellent guide Mr Phong and our driver which I unfortunately don't remember his name. Also a great guy. A day spent in the tunnels and in the delta. And of course in the car getting to the places. Very informative and very nice as we were only two in our group. Strongly recommended!Written January 29, 2018
- AnnaGibbs20150 contributionsGreat DayWith limited time left it was great to experience both Mekong Delta and Cu Ci tunnels in one day. It is a lot of driving but you get a lot of information and sightseeing. It is a bit expensive but you pay for what you get and we had no ques and a great guide.Written October 16, 2017
- Juan P0 contributionsExcellentWhat can we say about this experience? We are glad we had it, it enriched our knowledge about Vietnam, the war and their people. Our guide, Mr Fong, was very kind and helpful, always with a smile on his face and ready to help. Punctuality and efficiency, those ate the main virtues of this agency, at least for us. We even had an incident during the trip (the police stopped our driver and they tried to make him pay for some "fault" saying his vehicle technical inspection was outdated, when we could clearly see the date in the windshield was correct). The agency reacted with efficiency and they sent another vehicle with another guests to get us to Cu Chi tunnels, where our private vehicle reunited with us later, after they solved this incident. We definitely recommend this experienceWritten September 25, 2017
- Bloo F0 contributionsPrivate Day TourVietnam has been on my husbands bucket list for years and we finally got the chance to visit this year. He says that this tour is the highlight of his trip and I have to agree. Phong was brilliant and gave us snippets of information the whole trip. He was happy to answer our questions about absolutely anything. There is a bit of driving involved but thankfully it's in an air conditioned car and He (our driver) spoke no English but still engaged with us which was great. Phong is very passionate about his country and that comes through in his enthusiasm on the tour. We were treated very well at every location that we stopped at and it was nice not being part of a big group. You are taken to locations where you can choose to buy products but there is no pressure to do so e.g. Bee Island. The activities are diverse and interesting and I loved the locals who took the time to sing for us for a small donation. I recommend this tour if you are wanting to get a feel for what Vietnam was and how it is nowadays for the people in the outlying areas. Thanks team, see you next time :)Written September 9, 2017
- Kendra N0 contributionsNice compact tour covering highlights of Cu Chi and MekongGreat tour guide, picked up directly from hotel, interesting sights and activities - would definitely recommend the tour if one wants to fit a lot in to one's stayWritten May 14, 2017
- Peta P0 contributionsGreat TourWe booked the tour from home before we arrived in HCMC. Our tour guide Anh was really lovely & extremely informative about The Cu Chi tunnels & Meking Delta. Had a great day out with these guys. Wiuld definetly recommend them to anyone looking at doing both at once.Written April 12, 2017
- Alexandra F0 contributionsBest Tour you could doThis tour was awesome. It's a long day but there are two bus rides of 1.5-2 hours each which allow for great napping opportunities (perfect for our group that got in at midnight the night before and was picked up for the tour at 7am) The bus is super comfortable, reclining seats, very clean! Our tour guide was Fong, he was amazing. Super knowledgable, very cute, fun; we couldn't have asked for anyone better. We started at the Cu Chi Tunnels early to avoid the higher traffic times which was great. Fong led us through an informative but fun tour, very interesting. We then took the bus to the Mekong Delta (2 hour ride, you get to see how people really live in the rural areas which is very interesting) Once at the Mekong Delta you take a boat to one of the islands for a delicious lunch- authentic and far exceeded our expectations. We then hoped around to different islands seeing the honey bees, live performance, a Sam Pam ride and much more. Delicious snacks were provided at each stop which was unexpected. We all expected to be hungry but none of us were (and we're big eaters) If there's one thing you should do during your stay in Ho Chi Minh, this is it!! Request Fong if you can, he rocks!Written March 9, 2017
- Morc26300 contributionsBest day-trip to Cu Chi and Mekong dektaWe just arrived back to our hotel after the best day with our tourguide Khang. He was a very nice man with a lot of knowledge of the Vietnam war, the Mekong delta, the entire Vietnam and also a lot of other contries. The program for the day with a visit to the Cu Chi tunnels and afterwards the Mekong delta was perfect for our 2 kids age 8 and 11. It was a very nice lunch we had. We give our warmest recommendations and a BIG thank you to our guide Khang.Written December 10, 2016

Tien (Tony) was our guide for the day. He was exceptionally knowledgable of the Vietnamese history. Answered all our questions and had random fun facts that he threw around when we passed certain areas. The tour was full on with plenty to do and see. Food was awesome! Great experience overall. We would definitely recommend this.

From first contact, Elegant Travel were brilliant at responding to emails and organising this trip... it was very confidence-inspiring when not yet even in Vietnam! As it is a private tour the staff were happy to adjust a few details of the trip when requested. On the day everything ran like clockwork. Mr Bao and his driver collected me from my hotel and the early start meant we got to visit Cu Chi before the hordes arrived... well worth the early start. Cu Chi is astonishing and a must-see when in HCMC. In the afternoon there was a delicious lunch and an efficient series of stops on the Mekong. Chatting to the locals and seeing the river was the most interesting part. Local singers who popped up seemed slightly awkward and I felt very sorry for the horse who seemed so hot in the sun; I could have done without these two parts and you could probably ask to skip them.
Other than that, the tour was excellent and Mr Bao was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I was so impressed by the time-keeping, as I arrived back at the hotel bang on time - pretty amazing given the distances covered. Thank you so much, Elegant Travel.

We booked this trip through the Get a guide website. We only booked it the day before but the guide arrived promptly the following morning to take us on our journey.
We had the private use of a nice, clean air conditioned mini bus as we headed to the Cu Chi tunnels first. We thoroughly enjoyed this part of the trip and our guide was very knowledgable about the history and workmanship surrounding the construction of the tunnels and the way of life of the Vietnamese.
Next we headed over the the Mekong Delta.
We first grabbed a spot of lunch before heading to the coconut candy factory. We would highly recommend tasting the candy. We loved it and you can buy a pack of candies for 30,000 dong.
We then took a small horse ride down to a cafe where they were playing vietnamese music. My partner and I weren't too keen on the horses pulling the carts as they clearly weren't enjoying it and were not tret well, but this is nothing against the tour (only against the Vietnamese use and treatment of working animals).
After this we headed in a rowing boat down the Mekong Delta river. This part was enjoyable but was over far too quickly. They only take you down a short part of the river.
The whole trip was enjoyable but we did find it very touristy, but this can't be avoided. We left our hotel early to reach the Cu chi tunnels before the crowds and we would recommend doing this.
Our only other piece of advice would be to make the most of the Mekong river cruise and try and savour it as its over far too quickly. It is a great experience though and we would highly recommend this tour.

Attended this tour with children and grandchildren unfortunately I was not feeling particularly well which probably jaded my view slightly.
The guide was very knowledgeable and her english very easy to understand.
The lunch provided at Cu Chi was outstanding.
We did feel that we were rushed a bit and not given opportunity to browse at small markets we walked passed even though we arrived home 1 hour early.
The Mekong Delta canoe ride was an experience in itself as the rain was torrential.
Would not recommend this tour if unsteady on feet due to climbing in and out of canoe and boat.

Our tour guide (Kim) was quiet and didn’t provide a lot of information/history/explanation during the day. It felt like we missed out on a lot of stuff because there wouldn’t be background information from him. I sometimes tried to listen to other guides who were nearby for their explanation. For the price, we felt cheated for the lack of information we received.

We are on a cruise ( celebrity Millenium) and we are looking to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels and have a sail up the Mekong delta. Can you pick up and drop off at the ship and how much would it be for 2 adults.
